Republican Desperation in Virginia

Given what I do for a living, I subscribe to all the political email lists I can find. Today I got a poorly-written email from the Maryland Republican Party offering to pay me to go volunteer in Virginia for the election on November 8th.
We are looking for a team of about 50 people to go be in VA from Mon-Wed or Tues-Thur (3 full days next week, the week of October 31 - November 3) to hit targeted Counties with a lit drop. This is not a knock and drop, just a drop.
We will provide payment for transportation, lodging, food, and pay a stipend if need be.
...
This is a different opportunity from the earlier email. This is not the same request. If you can spend three days in Virginia, please let me know. Again, we will provide payment for transportation, lodging, food, and pay a stipend if need be.
Clearly, Republicans are desperate for volunteers. So desperate, in fact, that they're paying people from out-of-state to go do it. But I'm not sure what's worse: the fact that the Republican party has had to resort to this, or that Republicans won't volunteer for free (though I don't think you can call it volunteering anymore if they won't do it for free).
If you're interested in volunteering - for free - on the Democratic side, you can fill out this form that the Democratic Governors Association has put together. Someone will get back to you soon after you fill it out.

Anyone who needs a post-Katrina job, this is an excellent opportunity.
'course, you really don't actually have to distribute the lies. Just take the money as a down payment on your Houston country club dues....
(I am just kidding..... Or maybe not if the Republicans have created enough desperate people.)
The real story is the dead heat in the va race. Whoever is more sucessful at getting out the vote will win. In the past week Kilgore has lost momentum for shamelessly playing the holocaust/hitler card in his tv ads. Did some spritual advisor on the Kilgore team channel through to Lee Atwater for that bright idea?
I live in Oklahoma and I am surrounded by the GOP, but I am SO PROUD OF OUR LOVING,SMART,AND
LOYAL DEMOCRATS. Watch us take them by storm this Campaign. Everyone that votes for Democrats have been so nice to help out. We have the higher IQ and we have the most caring nature. God be with all who are working for the good of all mankind and not just the wealthy and powerful?
If you want to get-out-the-vote in a target rich environment where the race will likely be decided please visit www.alexDEMS.org or call 703-549-DEMS (3367) and volunteer to work in Alexandria, VA this weekend up to next Tuesday. Tell them Todd sent you!
Ask yourself, would you say and do everything to save your son's life? Would you use every ounce of power to save him from dodging bullets and bombs? That is all President Bush one has done for Bush 2. Where the exceedingly sinful sin comes in is changing the rules of the National Guard and sending National Guardmen to dodge bullets and bombs!
Also using your power as President to destroy careers of your fellow Americans, members of your own cabinet, reporters, anchors, and your advisors, exceedingly sinful is the way God put it? Destroying careers of American spies and Demplomats is usually spoken of as traitors. Because that is working against God, Country, and citizens. Can you count the many people that the world don't admire anymore because of Bush's Administration Policies, spin, and evil attacks?
