What is a Podcast?
A podcast is a brief audio broadcast that listeners can download for play on portable music devices or on computers. The Democratic Party's Podcast, generally between 5 and 15 minutes, gives listeners a chance to regularly hear from party leaders, newsmakers, strategists, policy makers, and the grassroots of the Democratic Party.
What distinguishes podcasts from other audio available on the Internet is the subscription aspect. Users can subscribe to DNC podcast through Yahoo!, iTunes, or RSS - ensuring that new episodes are automatically downloaded as soon as they are available. You may also download the podcasts manually without subscribing.
While many podcasts are simply taped radio or television shows, the Democratic Party podcast is only available via the Internet. We want you to be able to access these podcasts whenever you want - to learn more about the Party and what we stand for, and to listen to Democrats discuss contemporary issues in a thoughtful manner.
