It was only three years ago that Jenny Greenleaf started as a precinct committee person -- just last Friday, she was elected Secretary of the Western Caucus for the DNC.

Great diary entries, Jennie. It's wonderful to see your rise to power. Hope young people can see how just a couple glasses of wine, a bar and some leather culminate into an awesome career! Cool story--we're fortunate to have you on our team.

I have said it before and I will say it again, "we are making history." Way to go, Greenleaf? We are so proud of you.

Couple of points:

1. The DNC Does Notice!

First, did you let Reid and Murtha know how much came in because of what they did? You should. Some of the blogs suggest flowers in lieu of cash to the good deed doer so they will know that we know what they did. We do want them to know, but I would rather everyone had the cold hard cash rather than a rose bud. So, if you don't get this news back to them - everyone is losing out on cash.
Second, we are trying to acknowledge and reward "real Democrats". If we send cash, where best to send it? DNC or their own war chests? Third - All donations from blog communities end in .01. We want you to know that we know.

I think you guys should figure out a way to acknowledge "good democratic behaviors" that ends up in cash when it ends up acknowledged. Like Wickert taking on Lieberman - that would be great. Hillary's flag burning amendment - she ought to return money to donors for that one. Does Hillary think everyone is too stupid to notice her pandering? We don't need another liar in the White House - even if its her.

Oakland, that is our job. We could do a lot for them by writing them or sending them a contribution. We might have their web address in here for those that don't know how to write U.S. Senators or House.

I have no doubt that it's been communicated to Reid and Murtha that standing up produces...cash!

Boxer found that out when she stood up. There was an internet effort to thank Harry Reid when he shut down the Senate. We are making our voices heard in the loudest way possible--with contributions.
