While this new poll is certainly encouraging, eleven months is a political eon. Keep up the good work, fellow Democrats, in the great state of Pennsylvania!

Please write your support to the few Senators opposing a rubberstamp of the Patriot Act:

Russ Feingold, D Wis
John Sununu, R NH
Lisa Murkowski, R Alaska
Larry Craig, R Idaho
Patrick Leahy, D VT

and others. They need to hear from us.

I wonder where Chuck Pennachio fits in all of this? I have liked him and his views from the beginning. Why has he not been better received in PA? I am not a big fan of Casey.

Well Pam, I actually used to work for Chuck Pennacchio -- his first full-time staff member on the ground helping with Internet and Comm. work. He wasn't included in this poll, and to the best of my knowledge, has only seen action in one primary poll that showed him trailing pretty big.

Tim,

I am sorry to hear that about Chuck. I have sent contributions to Chuck, and held off on Casey because I was hoping to see Chuck become more popular.

Oh, well, getting rid of Santorrum will be such a relief !

(ps. you seem to have done your share of political behind the scenes work. If I run against Lieberman in a Primary, will you work for me? :))

Glad to see that we are leading against a whole slew of opposition. I thought Lynn Swann entering the race was interesting. With only a year to go, he only has limited time to draw up where he stands on issues. I don't think he can win on name recognition alone, which is what I think the Republicans were thinking when they started to call for him to enter into the race. Pennsylvania is not in such dire political straits that they are willing to elect anybody to run the state. In other words, this is totally different from Arnold and the California recall.

I find it interesting about Santorum. He's been so aligned with the President that I wondered how his re-election would turn out. So far, so good for us.

Is there anyplace were we have a chance of losing? What can we do to help? Can we put our heads together and come up with ideas for success? Let the common folks know how we can help and we will.
