Faith plays a vital role in our communities. For many of us, our Faith informs how we see our community, our world, and our country, and our religious traditions shape our vision of the world and our deepest hopes and dreams for it.

The United States is blessed to be home to every major world religion. The United States also is the place where there is freedom to express one’s Faith and to feel free to have no expression of Faith.
The Democratic Party believes our country is greatly enriched and strengthened by our religious diversity. The Democratic National Committee’s Faith in Action Initiative is committed to reaching out to people of Faith around our shared values – values that include caring for the poor and less fortunate, caring for the earth, caring for the rights of others, at home and abroad, and caring for peace, freedom, and justice.
