RNC Promotes a Grand Ole House Party

Posted by on January 30, 2006 at 03:43 PM

So, the RNC just sent out an email to individuals in and around Bloomington, Illinois promoting one of their State of the Union House Parties tomorrow night. The "party" features a Jesse Jackson pinata! Apparently this is "A OK" for the Republican National Committee; they sent it out, letterhead and all! Here's the image -- click to enlarge:

You can view more information about the party, or ask for an invitation, on the GOP's very own website. Just click here.

They've removed the reference to Jesse. This is going to be good.

I've already RSVPed for David Duke and Strom Thurmond. Please make sure your favorite bigots are in attendance.

Bloomington is the home if Illinois State, and it's next to Normal, which is the home of Illinois Wesleyan. They are both a mere hop skip and a jump from Urbana / Champain (U of Il).

Perhaps a few Campus activists would like to see this?

60,000 pissed off College Students can't be good for their "Party" (meant in both ways).

A Jessie Jackson Pinata!? I am so pissed off right now,I swear.See, this is why they only have 2% of our vote.I'm telling you. That's it.I'm telling someone in the media untill they "bust" the G.O.P. on national T.V.!

I sent out e-mails to various major media

My E-Mail

Please explain to me why NOONE is talking about a completly and utterly disturbing act of racism on the part of the GOP in Bloomongton Illinois where a State of the Union Party will be held featuring a Jessie Jackson Pinata to BEAT on for those who attend?I am appauld at this as well as the media's failure to address it.This is why they only have 2% Black vote and this is why they are called the Racist Party.

There was a diaryg on DailyKos, doing this from memory, and the end result was a total discrediting of the item. Phone number doesn't exist, address is that of a gay bar, guest of honor(?) is not going to be in town on that day.

Oh,Great. It would have been a good idea if that information was provided earlier.I just sent 52 e-mails out.I still hate the Republicans and they are still racists in my opinion. If anything,it will show that the Black Community is on full "alert" when it comes to racism by the GOP.We now, have NOONE to protect us at all, so we have to do it ourselves.

You guys are too funny! If you actually think the Republicans (in general) dislike Jesse Jackson because of his skin color, you are truely drinking too close to the Kool-Aid cooler. Jesse Jackson is an embarassment to any group he belongs to or claims to lead. Has he ever promoted an issue that wasn't race-based?

Where were you when Mr. Dean (party leader) said he hates Republicans? Strangely silent huh? How about Hillary's "plantation" remark? again...silent. Mayor Nagin.....shhhhhh. Senator Byrd?????

Pick the battles wisely but come prepared at least.

Jesse Jackson outclasses George W Bush ANY day of the week, especially when it comes to speaking the English language.
