I DO NOT TRUST the DNC. It seems that the DNC is doing nothing to counter the myriad of lies and spin that Bush rolled off in his "State of the Union" address. All that the DNC seems to say is "give us money". There is no intelligent articulation of truth that I can discern on this website. Remember when Bush said "this Crusade", or "as long as I'm the Dictator"? I am wondering if Howard Dean (once such a forceful speaker who told how the Bush Administration is "defunding" the nation's infrastructure) has been the recipient of a frontal labotomy? It almost seems like the DNC is covertly on the influenc/money-train with the goose-stepping Republican "majority". We have no one providing courageous representation of any kind in DC, except perhaps for John Conyers and Jack Murtha.

How does one write to Howard Dean? Is he alive? Does he have an e-mail address? Does he ever personally interact with this blog? I doubt it. I see no reason to trust the DNC, and would not volunteer one dime to this pathetic "leadership" of a willfully self-emasculated and demoralized Democratic Party..

It was an inside joke.. my dad and I used to go to a few games when I lived out there and usually had the same seats. The Latino dude next to us, I think he was a season ticket holder always yelled, "Go Doyers!!" Before you know it, my dad and I would yell "Go Doyers!!" after we got to know the guy and he would tease us about our "Canadian" accent. Good politically incorrect times, good times.

They are like jell-o with a buzz. Think Gummy Bears with a kick.

OPne time I tried to use Tanqueray, and it just wouldn't set up. The Captain is good too, but the coconut and spice flavor would be better suited for the Jell-o if maybe Tampa or Cleveland were playing. Realize, if you will, I was constrained by the teams colors.

I actually had 9 years in the Army Guard. It's odd though, outta those 9 years, 3 and half were active duty. I actually joined because I wanted to kill a summer getting some direction and discipline in my life. I needed to know, What next and Basic Combat Training provided that oppurtunity. I also joined because of the Patriotic, do something for the nation thing... but I did join in 1996 so it wasn't because of 9-11

I was complaining for several years, and the idiot doctors said it was just "stress" and kept prescribing Valium (because they got a kickback from the Drug Companies).

Years later, after 4 "minor" heart attacks, I was FORCED to go to a Company Christmas Party. I felt like shit, and left early.

For 3 days I still felt like crap, so I went to a Hospital on Christmas Eve. The Doctors said "Good news, No heart attack, but just to be safe we sent your charts to a Cardiologist"

1 hour later, the Cardiologist is slapping these 2 clowns with my charts, and actually YELLING at them.

I was in surgery within the hour.

Because I "HAD" my "heart attack" in a resaurant at the Christmas Party, I "Wasn't" at "work" and so the Insurance won't pay a cent of the 120 grand cost.

And NOW, I can't go back to work, because I'll screw up their group Policy, and NO ONE will hire me because of my "pre-existing condition".

President Bush plans to propose a $2.7 trillion budget tomorrow that would shrink most parts of the government unrelated to the nation's security while slowing spending on Medicare by $36 billion during the next five years, according to White House documents.

The spending plan Bush is to recommend to Congress will call for the elimination or reduction of 141 programs -- for a savings of $14.5 billion -- across a broad swath of federal agencies, according to administration and congressional officials who have had access to budget documents in advance. Wide-ranging as they are, those cuts pale in comparison with the White House's attempt to carve money from Medicare -- the first tangible result from a vow the president made in his State of the Union address last week to constrain the massive entitlement programs for the elderly and the poor.

Overall, the budget for the 2007 fiscal year would further reshape the government in the way the administration has been striving to during the past half-decade: building up military capacity and defenses against terrorist threats on U.S. soil, while restraining expenditures on many domestic areas, from education programs to train service.

Chavez warns U.S. over refineries if cuts ties

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez warned on Saturday he could shut his government's U.S.-based refineries and sell oil to nations other than the United States if Washington decided to cut diplomatic ties, as relations between the two countries continue to worsen.

"If the U.S. government wants to break relations, then they have to take that decision over there, over there. I could easily order the refineries we have over there closed," Chavez told a large crowd of supporters.

"We'll see how high oil prices go, we'll see how much a gallon of gas will cost. I could easily sell the oil we sell to the United States to other countries," he said. "We don't want to get to that extreme, we want them to leave us in peace."

This, coupled with Iran's threat to take their oil off of the market? And, the fact that we are producing less oil out of Iraq since before the war? We are screwed.

2/3/06-Air Force Officer MIA from Vietnam War is Identified

The Department of Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO) announced today that the remains of a U.S. serviceman, missing in action from the Vietnam War, have been identified and will be returned to his family for burial with full military honors.

He is Col. Eugene D. Hamilton of Opelika, Ala. Final arrangements for his funeral have not been set.

On Jan. 31, 1966, Hamilton was flying an armed reconnaissance mission over North Vietnam when his F-105D ‘Thunderchief’ was hit by enemy ground fire over Ha Tinh province. His mission was part of a larger operation, known as Operation Rolling Thunder, which attacked air defense systems and the flow of supplies along the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

Airborne searches for his crash site that day were unsuccessful. A radio broadcast from Hanoi reported an F-105 had been shot down but did not provide any details.

His soultion: let the Ethics Committee oversee the graft and bribery.

He also just told Chris Wallace that lobbyist paid golf trips to Scotland are "educational seminars."

This guy is too good to be true. In their haste to get away from the Abramoff taint, the Republicans voted for a guy who sings the same song as DeLay and acts like a happy drunk ...the self-proclaimed "Dean Martin comes to Washington" Republican politican...golf club in hand with all the right K Street mob connections.

I think he will do quite nicely for an election year characiture of the Republicans' distain for those who elected them to be honest and forthcoming.

Regarding the jello shot discussion earlier this morning....is this one of those let's get the kids hooked on booze at an early age thing? I remember Jello merchandising those Easter egg jello molds to mothers with small children ten years ago or so.

I can't understand why anyone would want to get their alcohol release in such a slimmy manner. Sipping from a glass between snacks and conversation is a lot more relaxing. Is it easier to mix date rape drugs in these things?

I think Jello also marketed jello molds in the shape of various animals and Xmas decorations. Jesus jigglies are not out of the question, then?

I'm a huge Al Lewis fan as well, Cyn. He was way cool!

Not only was he a great progressive voice, but his 1960's, THE MUNSTERS show, involved some great storylines, comic acting, great wild 1960's George Barris custom cars, trippy theme music inspired by both surf music and offbeatism and other things that made growing up in the mid60's great.

Letter to "Meet the Press".

How could a news organization responsible for reporting the news to the American people fail so miserably on a simple issue of domestic spying. On the Meet the Press show on Feb. 5, 2006, your show included a poll. That poll asked Americans if they support the program to wiretap calls to or from foreign suspects. Using that poll borders on propaganda and does not reflect the issue. The issue is (and the poll should have addressed) if Americans support wiretapping on Americans WITHOUT A WARRANT! Any editor who is not biased or inept should understand that THAT is the issue. That is what the American people want to learn about. The inability of your show to accurately address the real issue is troubling in that it represents either an incompetent organization or one that is biased. Both are unacceptable if the United States is going to continue to enjoy a free and unbiased press.

Exclusive: Can the President Order a Killing on U.S. Soil?

Feb. 13, 2006 issue - In the latest twist in the debate over presidential powers, a Justice Department official suggested that in certain circumstances, the president might have the power to order the killing of terrorist suspects inside the United States. Steven Bradbury, acting head of the department's Office of Legal Counsel, went to a closed-door Senate intelligence committee meeting last week to defend President George W. Bush's surveillance program. During the briefing, said administration and Capitol Hill officials (who declined to be identified because the session was private), California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein asked Bradbury questions about the extent of presidential powers to fight Al Qaeda; could Bush, for instance, order the killing of a Qaeda suspect known to be on U.S. soil? Bradbury replied that he believed Bush could indeed do this, at least in certain circumstances....

Hillary has a lot of anger? I don't see her doing anything but playing nicely with others planning a run for the Presidency like Lesley Graham. Mehlman must have her mixed up with that Republican woman who wanted to run against Hillary for Senator.

The same cast of characters keep on popping up. These guys are like pit bulls. Once they get their teeth into something, they can't let go. They are terrorizing the neighborhood and scaring young children.

This crack legal team has come up with some really bizzare interruptations of the law in the last few years. The Constitution seems to keep tripping them up. Good grief - I had a hard time finding people this afternoon! I think we have 3 threads open right now.

Did I ever have one heck of a mess this morning. My husband and I were doing our usual Sunday gig, reading newspapers, drinking coffee. I turned on Timmy to see who he had on. It was the Boner. I was right in the middle of a rather large glup of coffee when he (the Boner talking) said that the trips to Scotland were "educational" and that he had to make speechs. Well, the coffee flew out of mouth like the last launch of the space ship. So, I had to go into my cleaning mood and scrap coffee off of my carpet. Shame on NBC, they should tell us when they're going to have Comedy Hour on! That guy (the Boner) is a roit! How he can keep a straight face and let the words - no wait, he's had good training that's right - he's a republican!

Anyhow - just thought I'd do a fly by. Hope your afternoon is going good. I can't get into the Super Bowel. The Packers aren't in it and I hate - I mean I hate that fat f*** Mike Holgrom.
