Success Stories

As I mentioned earlier, a good number of state party officers from across the country descended on Washington, D.C. this weekend for various trainings and discussion; here are two more video clips. The first is Governor Dean detailing some of the success stories from the 2005 election cycle. It wasn't just the high-profile victories of Governors Kaine and Corzine that we should be excited about, but a number of victories by Democrats in local races where we haven't won in quite a long time. The second clip is Arksansas Democratic Party Chairman Jason Willett discussing what the fifty state strategy has meant in his backyard.

Congratulations, Jason. You, too, keep on truckin'. Hope you can rally your troops around hope for the future and escape from the failures of the Bush administration. The failure of 911 and five years later, the failure to respond to a natural disaster named Katrina show the people of this nation that it's time for a change.
Jason,
Oh I like those words "those nemisis out there"
Good Luck, Sir in Arkansas.
And Tim, semper gumby!
Governor Dean don't count your success yet, until you mend the relations with the GLBT community. Your lying about closing the GLBT outreach office, yet leaving the gay fundraising mechanism in place, is the height of hypocricy.
I am mad as hell at the DNC, and will be writing progressive legislators to reinstate the gay outreach office. If you expect GLBT support, YOU DAMN WELL BETTER SHOW SOME BACK!
People are afraid to even comment on the brave actions of veterans. But the Republicans don't seem to be afraid to demonize them with their hate and destroy machines in this Administration!
What do you think should happen to the groups like Swift Boat hate mongers?
Jesus too gave his life for PEACE ON EARTH AND GOODWILL TOWARD MANKIND. And most Republicans say they honor Jesus for this but they don't seem to have any respect for the troops that were willing to give their life and many of their buddys gave their lifes. Do you agree with the Republicans when they demonize a Veteran that is running for an office in Government? May God have mercy on the soul of the evil Republicans, for they know not what they do?
This was Howard Deans comments on National Coming Out Day in 2005.
"“While the Democratic Party is committed to creating an environment that makes it easier for all LGBT Americans to come out, the Republican Party continues to target LGBT Americans for political gain. America deserves better than leadership that scapegoats minority groups and divides the electorate to win elections. They deserve leaders who will join the Democrats in working to protect the personal freedoms and civil liberties of all Americans. That is why the Democratic Party is proud to stand with the LGBT community not just during National Coming Out Day, but every day.”
How did closing the GLBT outreach office show you standing with MY COMMUNIY?
Let us organize a school or a big class for teaching those who desire to become a Democratic Poliical Official? We could have the most successful among us to teach the class so many days a year. We could look for another Dean like person with lots of fire in the belly to organize the class and to oversee it. What do you think?
