Please don't forget that this Saturday is also:

March for Peace, Justice and Democracy
Saturday, April 29 - New York City

March steps off at noon
Assemble beginning at 10:30AM

Grassroots Action Festival in Foley Square, 1:00PM-6:00PM
Maps: Assembly Area & March Route | Festival

It should be magnificent: sunny skies, pleasant temperatures (low 60s), and a massive crowd this Saturday at the March for Peace, Justice and Democracy in New York City.

New York in Springtime is a beautiful time, especially when you can spend it with friends caring for this country and voicing their concern over the right wing president and the corrupt administration.

And I think it is about time the DNC post information regarding this event. The 29th of April stands for 2 things:

Canvassing around your neighborhoods and also voicing your concerns about the direction the Bush Administration has taken this country. These two events should be listed side by side.

What does Democracy look like??? Canvassing and Rallying for Peace and Justice is what Democracy looks like.

No doubt it's an important event Peppermint, but I don't think the DNC is or should be posting information about it. Although we do have a plethora of open threads and lots of open discussion, this is, first and foremost, the blog of the Democratic Party. The only things that should be getting posted here are things that are put together or officially sanctioned by the Democratic Party at the local, state, or national level. Events like the April 29th march in NYC are best served by more independent blogs.

Oh, I see. So Independents are the ones that should post Rallies for Peace and Justice, Immigration Support, Stopping the War in Iran.

That is just beautiful, JSCram. I thought the Democratic Party stood for those things. Oh silly me. I guess I am wrong.

Can someone help me find the local democrats that are running this year? I can't believe I can't find it on this site...
I'm in Hernando County, Florida.
I'm usually handed a list when I go to the poles, but perhaps I could get that information when there's time to research my Dem. candidates?
Fellow Dems., please advise...
Thnx.

Interesting that there is a canvassing going on in Nashville, the same day that the Tennessee Alliance for Progressives is having a conference.

It looks like the left hand doesn't know what the right one is doing.
