The Auction House

Posted by on April 27, 2006 at 12:34 PM

From the DCCC -- check out their new site.

For too long, the Republican-led Congress has allowed the special interests to get a hold of the agenda and under their influence we've witnessed nothing but giveaways to big corporations and industries that do not need a handout. We have seen legislation like the energy bill that sent $8 billion to big oil while doing nothing for gas prices and the Medicare bill that confuses and overcharges seniors. We have even seen them drag their feet on necessary meaningful reform for honest government. Congress has turned from the "People's House" to the auction house and it is time we took it back for American families.

Well how can this republican Congress do anything? They are all tangled up in this web of lies and deception. Along with special interests getting a hold of the agenda we have Fox News tangled in this web.

o'reilly is bashing Think Progress by making false statements:

Far Left smear websites are already attacking Tony Snow, the new White House Press Secretary. O’Reilly also claims that ThinkProgress and other sites are hypocritical because we are “trying to portray Snow as anti-Bush.”

Think Progress points out:

O’Reilly didn’t provide any examples of quotes that ThinkProgress took out of context. He was probably just short on time.

Think Progress is one of the most accurate websites and I would hope that the DNC links to it soon.

Sort of like the tax breaks to the wealthy....these incentives to the oil companies are suppose to "tickle down" to the rest of us?

Well, the oil certainly is beginning to trickle down as the prices rise and people can afford it even less.

I still think it's more like a Slave Plantation, though I would say that an Auction Block is just as similar.LOL

(If I don't laugh about it,I'll cry):D

I read a line, "the People's House" is now "the auction house"! Perfectly describes our whole government system now.
