Abandoning Ship

Snark from Jesse Lee:

About 20 minutes ago the liberal House Clerk reported on the liberal House floor that the liberal President Bush's Justice Department has subpoenaed Bob Ney's district director.

And now the liberal media is hurling false liberal attacks by reporting these liberal facts. It also turns out that Ney's staffers are a bunch of cowardly liberals...

Three Top Ney Aides Departing; District Aide Subpoenaed
[Roll Call]

The top three aides for Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio) are leaving, or already have left, the Ohio Republican's office, the latest sign that Ney's legal and ethical troubles stemming from the Jack Abramoff scandal are growing worse with each passing day.

Will Heaton, Ney's chief of staff, and Brian Walsh, the communications director, are planning to leave Ney's staff soon, according to sources close to the office. Walsh will accept a job as communications director for Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), while Heaton's destination is unknown. Heaton recently was married and was unavailable for comment Thursday.

Chris Otillio, Ney's legislative director, left the office last Friday, the sources said.

In addition, Matt Parker, district director in Ney's office in St. Clairsville, Ohio, was subpoenaed to testify before a federal grand jury conducting the Abramoff probe. Additional subpoenas of Ney's staffers are expected soon, said a source familiar with situation.

Walsh confirmed his departure from Ney's office, although he declined to comment on Heaton or Otillio. "This was not a decision I took lightly," said Walsh, who has found himself under fire for the past 17 months as Ney's spokesman. "I am looking forward to this new opportunity to advance Sen. Cornyn's agenda." Walsh will start in Cornyn's office in two weeks.

Walsh thanked Ney "for the chance to work for him, which was great," and said Katie Harbath, his deputy, will be taking over for his position.

It was fun. But don't worry, there are other corruptions in the sea...

Walsh, who has found himself in a media firestorm since the Abramoff-Ney connection was first exposed by Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) 17 months ago, earned solid grades over his handling of the scandal.

"Picking up Brian Walsh is a great move for Senate Republicans. He's battle-tested ready and will be an asset to Senator Cornyn, who is rapidly becoming a rising star," said a top House GOP leadership aide.

I wonder if Bob Ney can surpass Katherine Harris with the number of staffers to walk out?

More reasons we love Zack Space!

Tracy:

Liberal is democracy. There is nothing liberal about anything that goes on in conservative government today. You need to learn the difference between liberal democracy and conservative democracy. It is all about whether the common people rule through their representatives, which is liberal democracy; or the elite capitalists rule with "absolute power" which is not democracy; but conserves democracy away from the people where the people can't even earn a buck, much less be able to liberally give it to someone.

Personal conservative means frugally handling money for ones self or whoever one represents.

Government political conservative means conserving wealth in relation to a whole nation, and squandering that wealth, for ones own political constituency in that nation.

Government political liberal means allowing the wealth of a nation to be disbursed to the population liberally.

Conservative and Liberal is an oxymoron.

The Political RIGHT that is in power in the government today is the Conservative EXTREME, the far right conservative. The Political RIGHT "never" in any form or fashion represents the Political LEFT, the Liberals.

It is disappointing to see a post on a Liberal Blog where the post shows lack of understanding or blatant disregard for the people. Conservative must be understood by the LEFT as to what it represents politically. Conservatives do not represent the country as a whole, only liberals do.

And, furthermore, Tracy, the Media isn't Liberal at all. The media is so closed mouth about Liberal that one would think we are living in RED Russia, but we are in the RED United States; but the United States is gradually turning Yellow, Green and Blue. With the exception of the Comedy Channel, the History Channel and the 9400 series of Satellite Channels, all the RIGHT-WING RED Media has to offer is RIGHT-WING PROPAGANDA, ENTERTAINMENT and GAMES to distract the liberal thinkers from thinking about and doing what is in the best interest of the nation as a whole.

In Wisconsin, we have a Dem Gov. Jim Doyle. His oppent is a career GOP lapdog, named Mark Green. Green graduated from college in 1987, four years later he sits in Congress where he has done little to nothing, other than what he was told but his 'elders'.
Now Mr. Green is promoting an ethics campaign. His chief of staff is under investigation for accepting event tickets from, guess who- Mr. Abramoff. So he is now the campaign manager, replaced by a person whose old boss in Wisconsin now sits in prison for, can you guess-ethics violations! Mr. Green refused to give back money he got from Tom DeLay.

What makes this even weirder, is that Mr. Green bought someone to lecture the state about ethics....I'll give you one guess who that was.
Yes, none other than Rep. Ney!

Could some Dems please come to Wisconsin so that we make sure Mr. Green retires and finally gets a real job?
We need to make sure the 8th Cong. District in Wisconsin does not fall into the hands of the GOP's hand picked candidate.

Dani:

Right-Wing conservative propaganda has been peppered on the public at large by the Right-Wing conservative media to the extent that many, like Tracy, no longer know that Liberal means Democracy. If there is NO Liberal there is NO Democracy. Democracy is a balance between the haves and the have nots so that many can be among the haves, instead of just a few. Only the RED Right-Wing Conservatives, who own all the media, think Liberal and Democracy are bad words.

What I do not understand is why people kept putting republicans back in office?? With all the news on there lies, stealing and bribery. Bill Clinton's mistake was very small as to what the GOP have done and will do. Yes Bill Clinton did made a mistake, but lets not hold the Democratics hostage for ever. I think the republicans had a lot to do with the fall of Bill Clinton. This all they talk about when somone starts asking them about there lies. I do not care what the GOP tells me anymore. They have lied to the American people to many times. Everything the Democarts try to help the U.S.A. They STOP.

INDEPENDENCE DAY for the Working and Poor Class and Culture

July 4 celebrates the day that the New World's American Aristocracy declared independence of the American economy from the economy of the Old World's English Monarchical Aristocracy to secure freedom and justice for all of the American Aristocracy for commercial benefit of business, industry and trade apart from burdensome laws, rules and regulations of the English Monarchy.

America's Working and Poor Class and Culture MUST, like the American Aristocracy in 1776, declare independence for the economy of the Working and Poor Class and Culture from the economy of the American Aristocracy, to secure freedom and justice for all of the Working and Poor Class and Culture to receive commercial benefit of business, industry and trade apart from burdensome laws, rules and regulations of the American Aristocracy that oppress and tyrannize the Working and Poor Class and Culture.

Do YOU Support YOUR OWN Economy or Someone Else's Economy?

Those who own the equity of an economy in both greater and lesser degree own the economy.

An economy is composed of means of production, means of distribution and markets for commodities produced.

To the degree that YOU own equity in the U.S. Economy, YOU are, to the degree of YOUR ownership of equity, supporting your OWN economy.

If YOU do not own equity in the U.S. Economy, YOU are supporting someone else's economy.

If YOU are not benefitting from the U.S. Economy, YOU, as a consumer, are supporting someone else's economy; if YOU want equity in the economy, YOU MUST QUIT supporting someone else's economy and contrive to, within YOUR numbers as consumers, support YOUR OWN economy derived from YOUR OWN means of production, YOUR OWN means of distribution and, as consumers, be YOUR OWN market for what YOUR economy produces and distributes.

Under leadership of Mahatma Gandhi the people of India supported their own means of production, their own means of distribution and as consumers supported their own markets for what their economy produced and as a result the British Empire gave up Imperial Control of India because it was not profitable for the British to control India if the people of India were owners receiving the benefit of the Indian Economy, rather than the British Empire.

If the Working and Poor Class and Culture can develop resolve and leadership equal to Gandhi and the people of India, the Working and Poor Class and Culture can own and control the economy of the United States, and the Elite Capitalist Class will as the process occurs lose ownership and control of the U.S. Economy.

Preamble to the Constitution of the United States of America

"We, 'the American Aristocratic Class and Culture,' "the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union" 'for our class and culture,' "establish justice" 'for our class and culture,' "insure domestic tranquility" 'for our class and culture,' "provide for the common defense" 'of our class and culture,' "promote the general welfare" 'of our class and culture,' "and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." 'For our American Aristocratic class and culture.'

The Constitution of the United States of America is an exclusive document written to protect the best interests of the American Aristocratic Class and Culture, NOT the Working and Poor Class and Culture of the United States of America, bond servants and slaves.

As 21st Century citizens of the United States of America, we MUST, with eyes unclouded, recognize the reality of the history of the United States of America and then start to make the United States of America a nation that is inclusive of the Working and Poor Class and Culture as well as the American Aristocratic Class and Culture.

To be a Conservative RIGHT-WING Republican EXTREMIST is to support the interests of the American Aristocratic Class and Culture to the exclusion of the interests of the Working and Poor Class and Culture.

To be a Liberal is to support the interests of the Working and Poor Class and Culture of America along with the interests of the American Aristocratic Class and Culture and promote a dynamic balance of benefit between both classes and cultures.

The answer to your post is that there are large numbers of Lumpen-proletariat Republicans out there that have not yet awaken from their stupor. When a sufficient number become aware that they as fools are being used against their own best interest, the change that will remove the Right-Wing Republican EXTREMISTS from both Congress and the Presidency will occur.

Republicans and hawks mantain we "stay the course" yet they fail to define what that course might be. Demos need to hold their feet to the fire on this. However the Rove machine has been successful in forcing the Demos to define the end. Its Bush's begining...make him define where he's headed!!!!!

heres_hoping:

To prison is where Bush is headed. Impeachment is not enough for traitors. Real TRAITORS to our country, like the Bush Regime, should get the Mussolini treatment. The time will come when the selected Bush, all his selected cronies and all who cooperated to illegitimately get him and his cronies into office will be hunted down for war crimes as was done in Germany after the Hitler War Campaign to control the world was subverted.

Vote of No Confidence, Censure, Impeachment and Conviction is enough for me. I imagine a day when Congress gets curious and starts investigating this President's executive record, and laying out for all of God & Country to see how poorly the government was managed.

Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

Besides, St. Peter is probably having a heart-to-soul talk with Kenneth Lay, and showing how shallow of a life he lived. Excuses excuses, and no one takes responsibility for their actions!!!

Ehrrr, why did a man convicted of a crime die in an Aspen Colorado Hospital waiting for sentencing sometime before November? Aren't Republicans trying to shorten the delay to implement a death sentence, meanwhile Ken Lay dies waiting to go to Federal A$$-Pounding Prison?

I received letters from Nancy Pelosi and Ted Kennedy and neither one of them are supporting the DNC, but are crying for money separate of the DNC. My support goes to the Dean Grassroots Democratic Wing of the DNC, the DNC's Democracy Bonds and the Democracy For America Movement. It is a shame all the members of the Political Left do not pull their support to the Grassroots DNC to protect democracy for all Americans, instead of only the privileged and the wealthy.

22
_MarthaA on July 6, 2006 at 11:58 PM

Today I received a letter from the DNC Chairman, Governor Howard Dean, M.D., responding to a request from a group of leading Democrats offering a 2006 Matching Gift Victory Fund up to $500,000. for all gifts received between now and August 1 earmarked for the 2006 Matching Gift Victory Fund.

I give out of my meager penance $25./month for Dean's Democracy Bonds, but because of the matching funds offer I am sending an additional gift of $50, which isn't much, but it is a lot to me, as I am on a medical retirement fixed income. I've worked somewhere all my life but for my last employer, I worked 25 years. I am one of the Working and Poor Class who need democracy.

We the people must not take democracy for granted because democracy isn't freely granted. We the people have to keep democracy and in order to do that we, the people of the working and poor class, for whatever reason, MUST join together to attain power, and know that our strength is only in our numbers if we ever are going to take democracy back from the jaws of fascism. I for one stand for Democracy, Justice, Liberty and Freedom for all, not just the wealthy capitalist elite and the political professionals.

The Primaries will be over soon and the General Election is only 4 months away. We lovers of peace and democracy must sacrifice all we can and give NOW where it will do the most good, in the 2006 Matching Gift Victory Fund so that we the Grassroots of Democracy will be able to compete well in the last months of the election. We can get more bang for our buck when the funds are matched. The 2006 Matching Gift Victory Fund will match up to $500,000. on all gifts given by August 1, which will give Dean's Democrats a million dollars in the defense of democracy.

Don't forget that the so called "middle class" are ALL working people. The Working and Poor Class includes ALL WORKING, not just the Jerry Springer type; but Jerry Springer types are also included, as is the Professional Class. The Working and Poor Class is a 70% Majority of the entire population of the United States who ALL need democracy, and all should support the DNC Grassroots for Democracy. Always earmark your regular gifts to the DNC Grassroots for Democracy and if you can, also give to Democracy For America that helps the DNC's Grassroots to regain democracy. DO NOT GIVE to the DCCC or the DSCC as they have divided themselves away from the DNC, weakening the party. Hold fast to the DNC Grassroots led by Governor Howard Dean and we the people will be able to pull democracy from the jaws of fascism and regain control of both houses of Congress, and the Presidency,

Time is short, we must do what we can now and hope for the best, knowing that the movement for democracy will not stop with this election. All lovers of democracy in the United States must be vigilant to keep democracy if the liberty torch is to mean anything to the people of the United States at all.

*** Unite, Dominate and Control ***

When the Working and Poor Class and Culture allows its ranks to be divided into those who are working at the present, those who are poor because they are not working, and the so called working Middle Class, the Professional Class; the Working and Poor Class is allowing their Constituent Base to be dispersed, and set one part against the other, in order to ,strong>eliminate the Political POWER that the Working and Poor Class can wield as a United Class and Culture.

The Working and Poor Class and Culture, without the Professional Class, constitute a 70% Majority Population of the United States when they are united, and a 90% Majority Population of the United States when united with the 20% minority population of the Professional Class that tend to be a "go along to get along" bunch of "little Eichmans" that, for the most part, want to seperate themselves from the Working and Poor Class and Culture, and cooperate with the Elite Capitalist Class for their own economic and political advantage at the expense of the Working and Poor Class and Culture.

The "Grass roots" Power Base of the Democratic Party is the 70% Majority Population of the Working and Poor Class and Culture, and as a 70% Majority Population, the Working and Poor Class and Culture can dominate and control the Democratic Party, all branches of government and the fourth estate, the press; if the Working and Poor Class and Culture chooses to do so.

Under Democracy For America, DFA, leadership the Working and Poor Class and Culture is engaged in a movement to dominate and control the Democratic Party, all branches of government and the fourth estate, the press.

Support your own class and culture, the Working and Poor Class and Culture. Do not allow the Working and Poor Class and Culture to be divided and conquered, and you the Working and Poor Class and Culture will in the fullness of time dominate and control the Democratic Party, all branches of government and the fourth estate, the press.
