In seven days of intensive research performed by the Democrats.org team, we have determined Lucy Baxley is neither a farmer, nor a thief.
The Democratic candidate for Governor in the state of Alabama, Baxley appears to have a keen interest in helping rural and poor Alabamians seek a better standard of living.
She's experienced in state government, having served as the state's first female Lieutenant Governor. That must have been some glass ceiling to break through.
Other "We Love Lucy" facts: she's a former single parent, and businesswoman. She grew up in rural southeast Alabama, and has an abiding faith in God.
When I signed up for her email updates, I got a nice note from her via email that said:
Thanks again for letting me know you want to be part of my campaign. It truly means so much to me.
She's a total sweetheart.

Lieutenant Governor Lucy Baxley supports the effort to improve bible literacy among the young people of the state of Alabama. The biblical influences on our culture are omnipresent and helping students understand the biblical references found in literature, art, history, and public policy certainly fits into prudent curriculum. While it is important that we maintain constitutional standards regarding the promotion of a specific religious faith, Lucy believes that understanding the importance of the Bible on American life is an critical part of a child’s education.
GOOD GRIEF!!!! Why is this part of any politicians platform? Her belief in God is about as important and vital to her ability to govern as her being married and having kids! But, we fall for it...every...dang...time!!!
