Ohio Senate Candidate Sherrod Brown is Not an Intern

You have to hate it when this happens: Sherrod Brown served as an Ohio state representative from 1975 to 1982. He was one of the youngest state representatives in Ohio history, and supposedly, shortly after taking office, he was mistaken for an intern and asked to fetch coffee by a staffer.

Nice.

Born in Mansfield, Ohio, Brown received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian studies from Yale University and a Master of Arts degree in education and public administration from The Ohio State University.

Brown is the author of two books, but is not the only writer in the family. His wife, Connie Schultz, is a Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist on leave from Cleveland's Plain Dealer newspaper.

Rep. Sherrod Brown is running for Senate in Ohio.

Internet Department Intern Zack Karram researched and wrote most of this story.

Is that how they treat you, Zack?

I remember back in the early '70's telling a male co-worker to get his own coffee...and I took mine with sugar.

Stop back by and tell us what you've learned before you move on to you next assignment.

I'm very excited, not only about the Senate race, but all of Ohio's state & federal elections this November.

We MUST be unified and motivate our base (all registered dems) as well as those that generally sit out of midterm elections.

I'd like a bit of hazelnut creamer in my coffee, thanks. ;)
