Absurd

Down and out of power, the Republican attacks become even more ridiculous. One can only imanagine what is going to come next.
Right-wing media outlets are engaged in an effort to tar House Speaker-designate Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who won the Cesar Chavez award from the Cesar E. Chavez Foundation in 2003, as anti-worker.
The conservative claim, initiated by Hoover Institution fellow Peter Schweizer, is that Pelosi and her husband are guilty of hypocrisy over workers’ rights because they own a vineyard in Napa Valley that is non-union. The claim has filtered up through the blogs to Fox News and conservative print outlets like Investor’s Business Daily.
Over at ThinkProgress, Nico has the lastest on this absurd excuse for "reporting" on Speaker-to-be Pelosi and the video clip debunking it, which asserts that not only do the Pelosis pay their workers more than unionized workers make in the Valley, but that it would be illegal for her to help her workers unionize.
Somehow those facts were never uncovered by Fox News and their friends.

AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET ***US*** FREE!
Stop your outrage at Republican and sensitivity to your actions. You have ONE mission as a Democratic Congress in the next two years:
EXPOSE! EXPOSE! EXPOSE!
You must make the truth known. The Bush Administration ran a campaign which defrauded "Support our Troops" by defining it as "Support our Policies." That is exactly what did the Nazis in Germany and you must reverse it fast. You must now support our troops by getting to the truth. My Vietnam generation has been robbed of history because Congress let it slip into the dubious hands of academia. Congress never fully exposed it in full after the fact when security could no longer be a light dimmer. Now so much is at stake that America's future depends on you exposing EVERYTHING or we might get another Bush in 2008.
The regressive republicans DO NOT want women to succeed.
I'd like to raise my wine glass and salute the new Speaker of the House. May she get every bill passed in the first 100 hours that she wants.
This sounds like more of the Republicans' San Francisco bashing strategy. Don't these clowns know that the public has figured them out? Everyone now knows that it is they who are the protectors of the ruling class.
They conservative bloggers, GOP pundits, and Faux News are wasting their breath. But I don't mind seeing them make a fool of themselves.
The American people are cheering Pelosi on...praying that there will finally be a change of policy in this country and an end to the Beltway nightmare.
john nichols was on young turks this morning talking about this very thing- why should fox or other news outlets research the stories that they run like this since they really aren't interested in the news or substantive discussions about our civic policies rather they are simply interested in inflaming their viewers sensibilities over meaningless tabloid fodder- the right-wing zealots at hoover know just what they are doing when the put this stuff out there- they know they can count on news outlets not doing their job just long enough for this kind of garbage to seep into the sheep's brains
All this signifies to me is the repub`s insincere brand of bipartisanship! They further cook their own goose by these displays and continue to show the American people they are still only interested in power.I still think that they will force the Democratic Party to impeach Dumb & Dumber! If this doesn`t happen I believe we will have 2 years of fighting upstream all the way.I hope I`m wrong!
pepsi versus coke?
I remember the weekend Sonia "Italian" Gandhi's husband was killed. His bio and Clinton's and mine, along with 1 or 2 thousand others was in the same book. As if some were designated for assassination. It was Adelaide cup day, a horse race, but the 'day before' the operators next door did their signal. I freaked out, and phoned Peter fenwick, saying, they're gonna kill someone big deal tonight/tomorrow. Next day, the Indian who's address was Race Course Road had been blown up. Italian wife Sonia, locally, Lutheran seminary guy who ran the place, his daughter Sonia. One other target in that book was the Romania leaders, and from that, came the Bulgarian thing with regards the shooting of John Paul 11. But Coke versus pepsi.
I did find a street similar name to Bulgaria, in Sydney. It was very easy to believe in that conspiracy too. In 1972 I started a 1st year 3 month research project into organised crime after meeting this drug user and her friends, then high school kidshttp://english.arts.unsw.edu.au/engl/staff/brewster_a.html. All results were stolen from me before written up. New South Wales state police got involved and fabricated "charges" in 1972 against me, once the results had all be stolen. 350 4 page questions. All gone. Their charge? You don't have a licence. Who was I seeing? the Muinister of Education his niece. So that must have been police protection of drugs gangs then. OK, things have changed. Or have they?
Ladies and Getlemen let us not get too upset over this it is something we will see alot of while we are in power. I do think we should be on watch for comments like this and expose the lies FOX and that fat gasbag Rush Limbaugh put out to the public.
Lunatic right wing Websites have been very active the last few days posting some disturbed foolishness such as falsely claiming that AP and the mainstream media are making up news about Iraq. After AP listed sources and credible witnesses and proved that sites like MICHELLE MALKIN and FLOPPING ACES are just wackos, then these sites started attacking the credibility of a single witness, a "Captain Jamil Gholaiem Hussein". These people are so convinced of their own mentally ill conspiracy theories that they'll always come up with something new to prove to themselves that their psychiatric deceptions are real.
Musician Joe Walsh once released an album, "YOU CAN'T ARGUE WITH A SICK MIND". There you go. Some right wingers are exactly like crazed cult members, sure that only they know the secret of the "Loch Ness Monster" or some other wacky things normal persons could care less about.
For some on the right, their opinions are less a political philosophy then a cry for professional help.
PROGRESSIVE VALUES
OMG!
What a bunch of "reeetahwds" . They got nothing on Nancy Pelosi. That's why they have to bend over backwards to twist and turn this bullcrap to make her look bad and it still ain't workin!
Fox News' ratings are plummeting while MSNBC is syrocketing so, it appears people are starting to notice and move away. Fakes and Fakes will be left with the audience who watches reruns of "Lil House and the Prairie","Leave it to Beaver" and that one from the 60's with the dad who's a bigot.
Ha Ha Ha !
Seems as though the republicans still can't get over from their losses on Election Day,so what do they do more smear, more accusations, etc.
It never stops.
Hey everybody,
The leaders of the republican minority say they will do everything they can to defeat the democratic agenda. I'm not really understanding that. These are grown men and women acting like a bunch of children. It's either their way or no way (stamps foot and pouts*). Compromise is part of adulthood. I don't understand how these people can be so self centered and selfish. Now after bashing the republicans lets turn to the democrats. Our party is full of people who don't stand for anything and will say whatever is popular to get elected (i.e. John Edwards, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry). These people need to get a clue. They are wishy washy and make me want to throw up. Let us remember that most of these democrats who are so critical of Iraq policy voted for the Iraq war to begin with. I don't think it behooves us to run on this issue because we are as much to blame as the republicans. Only a handful of senators had enough sense to vote against it (sadly Lincoln Chafee was one and got booted but that was necessary to create our majority). I remember 2003 and I think our reason for going into Iraq had a multitude of reasons (oil, Bushy fullfilling daddy's legacy are 2). What gave Bush the political capital to start the war though rests on the american people's shoulders. After 9/11 and afghanistan we were still hurting and wanted to spill more blood. The campaign in Afghanistan was not enough to tide american anger over 9/11. That was why the war was rushed. 9/11 would become less and less prominent in our lives and support for such a campaign would be non-exiistant over time.
Cheers,
Randy
Imagine that -- the Republicans connecting the Latino Population and a WOMAN.
Not surprising coming from faux news - and filtering up through the blogs??? What is that all about? Thanks to Nico for speaking the truth.
The GOP is reaching but it sure ain't for the life line.
By the time BushII leaves office (praise the Lord)- troops will be out of Iraq. He can swagger all he wants - but I think Bush has a large ego and he is starting to think about his legacy - leaving troops in Iraq would be lame.
Also, voices like Dean, Lamont, Murtha are starting to be heard within the Democratic Party (I'll send you some articles that prove that Dean and Lamont -even though they last their Presidential and Senate bids are influencing the Anti-Iraq Dem stance - for now - just take my word on it).
Most Dems want troops out...yesterday... or at least a phased withdrawal - plus the Republicans took a thump'n - so the Repugs better listen to the Democratic Party.
I hope the troops are moved to Afghanistan - the good war - in my opinion.
Maybe when the troops leave Iraq there will be a stern secular dictator who can stop the civil war - HAHAHAHAH - it would be funny... if it was not so sad.
Go Dean/DNC
The regressives snub their noses at small business owners.
The more this goes on, the clearer it will become that the voters made the right decision on November 7th. The Pelosi attack (the latest one) is so much of a reach, it's more like whiny sore losers that can't come to grips with their loss of power and the bully pulpit. We should avoid all the name-calling and specious allegations. Let the actions of the Congress answer these cry babies. Sean Hannity seems beside himself at times. Have you all heard the "you're a great American" thing that his callers say on his radio show. His ego is off the charts and his television ratings have dropped. Hopefully soon, he'll be doing the late night weather in Fargo.
