DNC Responds to New Hampshire Phone Jamming Settlement
December 4, 2006Democratic National Committee Communications Director Karen Finney issued the following response to the settlement reached last night in the New Hampshire phone jamming case:
"While this settlement closes one chapter of the litigation stemming from the shameful and criminal Republican campaign to rob people of their fundamental right to vote, the federal criminal investigation will continue. Both the courts and the voters have spoken; these tactics have no place in our political process. When the new RNC chairman Mel Martinez takes office, we hope he'll do everything in his power to clean house and make sure nothing like this ever happens again."
