Under #5, and #8.
Would one of those things be to exercise the power of the Congress?
There was never a formal declaration of war issued aganist Iraq. Just the support of the congress for the President's vision of what was required to be done. Is it finally time to recind that and make this President accountable for the use of the power that the Congress gave him?
Under #'s 5 and 8 I sure as hell hope so.

Know this - most of these measures you propose are worthy, but, you were elected to do one major thing - STOP THE IRAQ WAR!!!
Not next year. Not next month - but NOW!
And one other thing. Hold those responsible for this illegal invasion accountable. There is NO WAY we the people of this country will ever consider that you have restored any integrity to this government if you do not investigate, issue indictments and take to trial any and all that have caused the needless deaths of so many innocent people.
This above all else should be #1 on your list.

I think senator Reid like most politicians fall in the trap of not knowing why his party was successful.
The American people far and wide voted democratric because they are unhappy with Iraq; Mr Senator, number 2 on your list should be withdrawing the troops out of Iraq; that mission was accomplised long ago and subsequent additions or alterations to the mission has also been accomplished now the troops are just beeing victims to what would be "every day crimes" in a poorly run country.
Oh and by the way number 1 should be increase the minimum wage; what benefits the masses is always best to get done first. I do believe minimum wage is more an issue in the mid and southern portions of the United States, where, incidentally is the republican strong-hold; any opportunity to make in-roads in these strongholds should not be passed up.

Where's campaign and election reform?
You can't have lasting ethics reform until you clean up political campaigns and have free, fair, and unimpeded elections.

I'm pleased to see such an ambitious agenda, though I'm honestly still skeptical of all politicians. I would remind our newly sworn majority of comments made by President Bush, "I have political capital and I intend to use it..." Political capital equals power drunk.
It is my hope that the new majority stays focused on the job they were elected to do.

From what I understand, the Democrat Loosership Committee is claiming that there's "overwhelming opposition" to public financing of political campaigns. The only opposition I've heard is from corporate interests.
I've been checking the block contributing a doallar to campaign funding ever since it came out on my tax forms. I for one would not be opposed to public funding.
Lately I have felt that the $1 is pretty petty, and not much use.
For a start, how about $5 bucks per tax payer, and make it automatic?
How about a discussion on this?
The DLC is so insulated in its ivory tower by the witches of K-street, that they are thinking it's all the world there is. They need to let down their hair and let the American people come up and rescue them and show them that there's more of the world out here.
Let's tell them about the real world!

RE: IMMIGRATION REFORM
This is a Strong Issue with Me.
I am a legal American, Born raised, am related to Native Americans.
I cannot believe that Amnesty is even an issue. If someone is here ILLEGALLY... They are breaking the laws.
Saying they are taking Jobs Americans will not do, IS WRONG. The recent finding of Illegal's working with STOLEN Identities at a meat packing company is a great example for me. My Mother worked at a Meat Packing company for 30 YEARS, and then retired from it. She is an American and did a job for 30 years that now
they say Americans won't do. When they arrested the Illegals at the Meat Packing company the next Day they had 100's of Legal American's applying for the jobs. OBVIOUSLY American's WILL DO THESE JOBS.
I am sick of hearing how the Illegals just want a better life for their family's. WHAT AMERICANS DO NOT WANT A BETTER LIFE FOR THEIR FAMILIES!
It is about cheaper labor, STOP ALLOWING THIS.
Do Not Give AMNESTY AND CITIZENSHIP TO LAWBREAKERS!
There are People all around the World that have been trying for YEARS to come LEGALLY to the UNITED STATES, what a slap in the face to all these honest People.

I am excited about the changes and opportunity for the party to move this country in the right direction. It has been going the wrong directions for too long.
I am one of thousands that have lost their jobs in the steel business and while I have managed to right my ship and and get back on my feet in the process have paid huge COBRA health insurance premiums while getting back into an employee group plan, as poor as it is, it is finally close to affordable. Last year my premiums under Florida Law (because of the size of the group)were over $1,000 a month and were to increase to over $1,600. a month in 2007 (United Health Care). (More than twice my mortgage payment.) Universal Health needs to be added to the short list of items for the government to address. Our taxes pay for our government employees to have the very best possible coverage with negotiated prescription drug prices. All of us that pay for that with our taxes should be able to have access to that health plan. Small business should should have access to that group which would greatly benefit small business emploters. We pay for those benefits and should have the right to access. Making this largest of group benefits available to all citizens, all at the same rates regardless of age will be a big step in the right direction to eleminate age discrimination in employment (which while is against the law) is a daily issue for anyone over 50 that is displaced from their career by no fault of their own to find gainful employment.
I don't hear any elected officials talking about this cancer in our society. The time for them to start is now.

Immigration won't get handled until the Mexican and Central American economies improve for the poor.
Right now, thanks to CAFTA and NAFTA, the US agribusiness giants are dumping low cost grain on the world market, and is destroying the farm economies of other nations as well as our own. Until we re-negotiate these so-called "free" trade agreements we will continue to get desperate people risking everything to cross the border, because the other alternative is starvation.
We need to look at our farm programs, and the subsidizing of farm crops here as well, because the family farmers are in a desperate bind, having to pay the Agribusiness giants for seed and fertilizer to raise more and more of designated crops like corn and soybeans, for which they can get subsidies, but for which they are getting paid less and less so that these crops can be dumped on the world market.
The family farmers aren't getting much out of this, the third world farmers where the grains are being dumped are getting even less and the Agribusiness giants are sitting there sneering at all of us.
In the mean time we are loosing farmers, the land is being mistreated, and we are setting not just ourselves but the world up for disaster.

American families have record debt. Wanting to mimick the way the American families handle debt would be a bad thing... atleast, comparing it in such a way is, heh.

I am extremely concerned with illegal immigration.
Comprehensive immigration reform is doublespeak for an amnesty.I am a naturalised American and very proud of it.Extending an Amnesty to illegal aliens is discrimination against me as a legal law abiding immigrant and now as an American Citizen.
I support the Democratic party on most issues and voted for the Democrats in the last election.
Illegal aliens who come to the U.S. for the birth of their children to gain citizenship and increase their chances of staying here are subverting the U.S. Constitution.
Targeting the U.S. this way is an extreme from of identity theft.Targeting the identity of the U.S. for material gain is in fact rascism .The result is ethnic colonisation as Americans have no say in our destiny.
People naturally say the children are not at fault which is true, they should nt suffer ,so let them stay. For that to happen then Americans take the responsibility for the welfare of these people and all the costs that involves
The consequences for the environment are devastating .The carbon footprint is dramatically increased, urban sprawl degrades quality of life and is a major habitat threat to Wildlife ,clean water and air.
Global warming is a fact. The Polar ice cap is disappearing at 9% per decade. We should be stabilising our population not increasing it.
The other negative effects of illegal immigration are well documented.
If an Amnesty is made as per the Senate Democrats ninth proposed bill of the 110th Congress then the positive benefits of the enactment of Bills 1,2,4,6 and 7 will be wiped out.
Amnesty for illegal aliens is a make or break issue for me.

Please read the following, then see if you don't agree with me that TORT REFORM is another necessary bill for the 110th Congress.
This foolishness needs to be stopped! Nancy, I sure hope this finds its way to you.
Time once again to review the winners of the Annual "Stella Awards."
The Stella Awards are named after 81 year-old Stella Liebeck who spilled
hot coffee on herself and successfully sued McDonald's (in NM). That
case inspired the STELLA Awards for the most frivolous, ridiculous,
successful lawsuits in the United States. Here are this year's winners:
5th Place (tie):
Kathleen Robertson of Austin, Texas, was awarded $80,000 by a jury of
her peers after breaking her ankle tripping over a toddler who was
running inside a furniture store. The owners of the store were
understandably surprised at the verdict, considering the misbehaving
little toddler was Ms. Robertson's son.
5th Place (tie):
19-year-old Carl Truman of Los Angeles won $74,000 and medical expenses
when his neighbor ran over his hand with a Honda Accord. Mr. Truman
apparently didn't notice there was someone at the wheel of the car when
he was trying to steal his neighbor's hubcaps.
5th Place (tie):
Terrence Dickson of Bristol, Pennsylvania, was leaving a house he had
just finished robbing by way of the garage. He was not able to get the
garage door to go up since the automatic door opener was malfunctioning.
He couldn't reenter the house because the door connecting the house and
garage locked when he pulled it shut. The family was on vacation, and
Mr. Dickson found himself locked in the garage for eight days. He
subsisted on a case of Pepsi he found, and a large bag of dry dog food.
He sued the homeowner's insurance claiming the situation caused him
undue mental anguish. The jury agreed, to the tune of $500,000. In my
opinion this is so outrageous that it should have been 2nd Place!
4th Place:
Jerry Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas, was awarded $14,500 and
medical expenses after being bitten on the buttocks by his next-door
neighbor's beagle. The beagle was on a chain in its owner's fenced yard.
The award was less than sought because the jury felt the dog might have
been just a little provoked at the time by Mr. Williams who had climbed
over the fence into the yard and was shooting it repeatedly with a
pellet gun.
3rd Place:
A Philadelphia restaurant was ordered to pay Amber Carson of Lancaster,
Pennsylvania, $113,500. after she slipped on a soft drink and broke her
coccyx (tailbone). The beverage was on the floor because Ms. Carson had
thrown it at her boyfriend 30 seconds earlier during an argument.
2nd Place :
Kara Walton of Claymont, Delaware, successfully sued the owner of a
night club in a neighboring city when she fell from the bathroom window
to the floor and knocked out her two front teeth. This occurred while
Ms. Walton was trying to sneak through the window in the ladies room to
avoid paying the $3.50 cover charge. She was awarded $12,000 and dental
expenses
1st Place:
This year's runaway winner was Mrs. Merv Grazinski of Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma. Mrs. Grazinski purchased a brand new 32-foot Winnebago motor
home. On her first trip home, (from an OU football game), having driven
onto the freeway, she set the cruise control at 70 mph and calmly left
the driver's seat to go into the back and make herself a sandwich. Not
surprisingly, the RV left the freeway, crashed and overturned. Mrs.
Grazinski sued Winnebago for not advising her in the owner's manual that
she couldn't actually do this. The jury awarded her $1,750,000 plus a
new motor home. The company actually changed their manuals on the basis
of this suit, just in case there were any other complete morons around.

Immigration won't get handled until the Mexican and Central American economies improve for the poor
Illegal aliens who come to the U.S. for the birth of their children to gain citizenship and increase their chances of staying here are subverting the U.S. Constitution
I too am very concerned about illegal immigration. An Egyptian man, who landed in Kuwait under one name in 2000, then entered the US later on ANOTHER name in Feb 2001, to become a pilot. Has been awarded custody of his son, by the State of Maryland.
This man married my daughter, held her hostage for 5 weeks repeatedly raping her. The state of Maryland Circuit court did not include this in its decision. But did include his new name, and then attributed to him the jobs my husband and daughter did while we all supported him. The state also included statements refuted by the evidence, or testimony. No fact seemed to true for this state to ignore. They insisted my daughter see her rapist every week for a year, while he threatened her life, then were shocked when she ran and hid from this monster. So for running they made her a fugitive, while the rapist became the darling of Maryland Politics.
No one at all in this state read the evidence, until I hired a lawyer to "consult" on the case.
Instead what this state did do: They totally negated the civil rights of both my husband and I. A police officer entered my home and searched it illegally. Based on what he thinks he found, they put out a subpoena on my email and according to the rapist the FBI entered and searched our home and our son's home, for yet another illegal search.
We have never seen a warrant, or the subpoena.
We have been stalked by the local police; even have them on tape coming to the house. But of course we were told it was for our own good.
I police were called 2 times for someone walking under the house with a flashlight, no one responded either time. It was them.
The states Attorney told me, "Nothing will be done to prosecute your son in law, because of your daughter." We had presented evidence that he lies profusely to the court, constituting perjury. In fact this same man, refused to even review the evidence. And had the charges nole prosed ( not prosecuted) when we brought charges and the empirical data AGREED with us, and PROVED his guilt.
The Gov, (Erlich) and I am told the Gov Elect (O’Malley) now want my daughter prosecuted to the "T", according to the State Police. Remember she ran out of fear, not spite or contempt, FEAR. I dare any of you to take having your life threatened in person every week, and on the phone 5 times a day. See if you stick around.
I have no faith in this constitution anymore, the persecution continues, when the first court hearing came, his lawyer said he didn't feel like coming. The Judge told my daughter "you deserve this' why did she threaten his life? Did she lie to everyone? NO she was BEATEN and RAPED.
Prosecute the victim, PROSECUTE THE VICTIMS. Too many women in Maryland are being treated like this.
Let more of the illegals stay, they are not all south AMerican or Mexican.

a lot of people have been hoping for the immigration reform. the enactment of this bill would finally pave the way for real independence, specifically for those who have been working humbly under the pressure and threat of possible deportation. many may not understand how it is to work doubly hard and yet be threatened by coworkers; employers and others just because of their status in the country considered as the "land of the free". the immigration reform bill, if enacted would help put an end to unfair labor practice and exploitation.

The 'I' word!
I just realized the term Illegal has become the word of choice for the prejudiced. It allows people to judge another individuals capabilties, motivations and personality without knowing a thing about them.
12 million so called illegals in this country and they are apparently all the same.
All poor and illeducated non-english speaking, slobs out to steal our jobs.
"But I'm not prejidiced, I just don't like poeple who break the law!"
Laws will be broken until they become fair. White people married black people before it was legal. Women had abortions before it was legal. This country was founded by an illegal 'declartion of independence.'
Look deep inside yourself for signs of prejudice, and I don't mean racial. I mean the really bad type. The one that allows you to justify hating people born on the other side of a arbitrary line in the dirt from you.

Hey Tracy, when will the minimum wage increase come up for a vote?
Posted by inspectorzen on January 9, 2007 at 02:24 PM
"Illegals" is a form of racism, in which Latino American citizens who have lived here, some for generations, and many non-Latino Native Americans are being profiled because they "look like illegals".
The Southern Poverty Law Center is currently handling several cases where American Citizens have been detained and even roughed up by law enforcement because of their physical appearances.
A lot of the stories about "illegals" doing this or that are urban legends. Many times the "illegals" are actually American citizens exercising their rights.
Illegal aliens who use bogus Social Security numbers can't even collect on the money they've contributed to Social Security, much less on any other Social Security benefits.
Many of the illegal Mexican and Central American immigrants would go home if there was a way for them to feed their families when they got there. The fact that they are willing to risk their lives to come here says much for the level of their desperation.
As for the "hundreds" of Americans who signed up for factory work after the place was raided by INS probably told the company to get bent when they found out what the wages and/or working conditions were. The factory owners probably needed to be reported to the EPA, the health department, and the NLRB as well.
If anyone needs to be criminalized and put behind bars it's the employers who are exploiting these people, and the greedy corporations who keep pushing the "free" trade agreements that destroy countries' economies to bring people to such desperate circumstances.
Posted by Butte on January 9, 2007 at 05:37 PM
The term "illegals" refers to a group of people who have taken it upon them selves to ignore the immigration laws of our country and "illegally" enter our country, thus earning the name "illegals".The term is not meant to indicate racism, and it should not be applied to a person born in America. Should it be applied to an American citizen simply on the basis of how one looks, would be, in my opinion, an open invitation to smack that person in the face with a certificate of live birth provided by the state health department on the day a person is born.Treating someone cruelly and disrespectfullly simply because they fit the stereo type of how a person of a particular race should look or act is racism.I think its ironic that so much time has passed since President Abraham Lincoln passed a law that states we have to start treating each other equally,no matter what our race, and yet, we still can't seem to get it right.
As far as the "illegals" go, well, this a problem that has been plaguing America since we first opened our borders, and will continue to do so until we start taking some extreme measures. America tends to be a "bleeding heart" country, and we concern ourselves with the civil liberties of people who aren't even citizens of our country. Personally, I see nothing wrong with electric fencing or shooting people down. Perhaps 10,000 volts of electricity surging through someones body or perhaps a bullet wound might change an "illegals" mind about coming to America. One things for certain, these measures will ensure that a strong message is sent which is America is a country to be taken seriously.I can't see repeat offenders being a problem either.
The phrase "Give me your tired, your poor, your hungry", in my mind, is a phrase that should read "No Vacancy"!

Senator Dodd-Biden-Clinton-Obama-et. al.,
I heard your recent words concerning Iraq and our Commander in Chief. They troubled me greatly to say the least. I still have a hard time believing that any person who rises to your level of political prominence could be so desirous for our Nation’s defeat in battle. Please don’t treat this war on terror as you baby-boomers did during our Nation’s gallant efforts in Vietnam. It was politicians like you who caused our national defenses to drop to the point that 911 was able to happen.
Remember when Sudan wanted to hand over Osama Bin Laden to President Clinton, but he was too busy lying under oath about his pertinent sexual encounters with his underlings while he was on trial for a sexual harassment law suit. Every officer of any court in this country knows or should know that doing so is a felonious high crime. Recall too that in 1997 the Democratic Party trumpeted the need for deposing Sadam Hussein in the Iraqi Liberation Act which used much of the same information and evidence our current President Bush presented before actually taking actions to free that nation.
You and the other Democrats talk a great game, but when the going get tough you run and cower. Even if you specifically weren’t in power at the time, your party supported the Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF) in the war on terror which took us into Iraq. You now want to cut and run. The same act helped to over ride the constraints within FISA so we can listen in on terrorist communications, but once the press got wind that we might hear them interviewing their terrorist affiliated buddies they cried wolf, and you ducked and covered you own posterior. How was Reuters able to communicate with Mullah Omar through e-mail? Don’t you think it would be a good thing for us to be able to hear a conversation, or read an e-mail between a terrorist and his or her contacts in the United States, or elsewhere?
You Democrats also supported the amendments within the PATRIOT ACT which allow our law enforcement and intelligence agencies to use the same weapons on terrorists that they used for years countering organized crime and espionage; however, once the ACLU wing of your party cried foul you took out your shovels and started undermining it too. The Democrats voted for many of the weapons we need to win the war on terror, but just as John Kerry said during his failed 2004 presidential campaign, your party is voting for things before you don’t vote them. Let’s just call it what it is-you back stab them and us. Sending our valiant men and women into in Iraq, and then pulling the rug out from under their efforts is only par for the course for the Democrats.
I realize that you liberal politicians believe the American people want peace, and we do, but we want it through victory. We don’t want peace by first supporting, then (to borrow a term from Senator Biden) isolating our commander in chief and armed forces. You are doing this by denying them the political support they deserve. The only people who want us to fail in Iraq are the socialist elites in your party, and those like you who want our nation weakened. Are you doing this just so it will be easier for you to become president one day? Are you truly so ambitious and power hungry? Is this why you are actively fighting against our people in Iraq?
You and those like you say you support the troops, but you wish to support the by “bringing them home”. You can’t have it both ways. As a former Marine (who longs to return to aid his brethren), college graduate, and current law student I understand that to “support the troops” means to support their efforts to WIN! Yet you and your party, after voting us into battle, have undercut our National efforts at every turn. You and the media allow yourselves to be used by the terrorists as a psychological weapon against us!
You will never earn my vote by acting the way you are at this moment, and I will work my hardest to make sure the Democrats are seen for what they truly are. The only person in your party acting as a true American politician should during a time of war is Joe Lieberman. I and my wife were once independent voters, but the actions of you and those like you in your party are making sure we will never vote Democrat ever again.
Sincerely,
Seeking Truth
P.S.
I am sending this letter to every senator and congressperson so that they may understand that there are many voters who pay attention to current and past events, and vote. To all of you-please don’t let the media, and opinion polls lose this war. Our nation has paid too much to let that happen. Support our men and women fighting this war on terror, and their Commander in Chief-even if that means you won’t become president in 2008.

Seeking: You have already proven to the world that you are an arrogant and ignorant little snot. Must you pollute this whole site with this outstanding example of you chauvinistic ignorance? Go back to the Marines, go back to Iraq, if you feel so strongly.
You can't change the truth by refusing to accept it!

#8 Strengthening and rebuilding America's military, to ensure the American people get the real security they deserve.
What are you saying the military is not doing their job? The American soldier does NOT need to be strengthened or rebuilt. It is the leaders at the top that need to be removed or changed. I hope the Democrats do not think our fighting men and women are performing poorly. That would be a severe insult to us all.

What number was "withhold funding for Bush's Iraq adventure"? I've heard that the Democrats don't want to withhold funding because they don't want the US Troops on the ground to be deprived of support and have their morale undermined! Echoing the Republican war supporters' claims is a COP OUT. The onus will be on Bush if he does not withdraw the troops immediately after a Congressional move to block funding. Why isn't this new Congress showing some backbone? Seems to me it will be more of the same. Maybe it's time for a third party - the American citizens must have a voice in our government.

The military DOES need to be strengthened and rebuilt.
They are exhausted, many are on their third rotations, many have PTSD, which their chains of command refuse to acknowledge.
Their equipment is shot, between the wear and tear of constant use and the mismanagement of military equipment maintenance by war-profiteering contractors.
We need to end this fiasco, redeploy them, weed out the moral misfits which a record number of moral waivers, produced by desperate recruiters, have introduced into our armed forces like cancerous growths.
Bush has done more to destroy our armed forces and the best and brightest of this young generation than any three Al-Quaidas.
Let's bring this corrosive mess to a screeching halt!

President Bush just finished giving an inspiring speech describing the state of our union, and the risk of failing to reinforce and provide for the troops during the battle for Iraq and the rest of the war on terror.
Once he finished I noticed John Kerry and others run out of the room. They were no doubt on their way to spin their doom and gloom ideals about how lousy our country is doing, and how terrible our troops are behaving. They'll probably end up on CNN or MSNBC slamming us as we head off for the fight of our lives.
What can they say after that speech? That the Democrats don't want better fuel economy in the United States? The Democrats don't support reducing HIV and malaria in Africa?
I'll tell you what the "Do Nothing Cowards" will say in their Democratic response-"We Democrats support the troops; we just don't want them to win. We Democrats support the troops, but we think they're going to lose so don't send reinforcements to strengthen their chances of success. We Democrats support the troops so much that we'll jump up every time President Bush mentions that we should during his speech, but when he talks about winning the war we'll make sure Nancy Pelosi looks like she's sucking on lemon".
Why don't you "Do Nothing Cowards" try to truly support the troops? What the Democrats are offering our military men and women now is a helping hand toward retreat and defeat.
I pray you Democrats start to act like you love this Nation more than yourselves and work toward victory instead of defeat!
Remember September 11, 2001! Remember Flight 93! God bless the United States of America, and God bless our troops!

Yes-the actions the current leaders in the Democrat Party are taking inspire our enemies to continue their fight against us. Thank God for Joe Lieberman-a.k.a. "The Only Democrat With Guts!"-for asking the tough question that this nations needs to hear.
Oh yeah, that's right. He's no longer a Democrat, because you "Do Nothing Cowards" turned your backs on him when the going got tough. There is definitely a direct correlation between your behavior toward Senator Lieberman and how you are acting toward our troops in Iraq.
You will do anything for power! If taking a stand for your country means your power is threatened then you (Clinton, Obama, Kerry, Edwards, Kennedy, Biden, Dodd, and the RINO's who support you) will turn your back on your nation instead of losing some polling points.
The rest of you in the "Do Nothing Cowards" party should take notes on Senator Lieberman's leadership abilities. Every one of you polticos (Democrat or Republican) who supported the war on terror (until the Hollywood left grabbed your spine) should be ashamed of your current actions to undermine our troops!
I agree with Lt. Gen. David Petraeus who said "None of this will be rapid...The way ahead will be neither quick nor easy", (The same thing our Commander in Chief-President Bush has communicated to this nation since the beginning of the war on terror).
The problem with this war is not the hard tasks placed before us, but you gutless "Do Nothing Cowards" and RINO's who expect this war on terror to be different from every other one fought by our Nation's military. If anything this war is the hardest our military will face, and our troops should be given everything they need to win it.
The last thing they need is some politician dictating their tactics and limiting their ability to increase their strength or funds when they need them. If you think your Vietnam Era Baby Booming Boob tactics which you used to lose that war will succeed here then you couldn't be more wrong.
The only thing your hoping for is our nation's failure so political vultures like Biden can strengthen his "Do Nothing Coward" voting base. He did the same thing during Vietnam that he's doing now in making resolutions that mean nothing but will lead to pulling the rug even further out from under our troops.
These politicians know their United States history but they seek to deny it from you, their supporters. They say this war is like Vietnam, but they fail to tell you what they did during that war to cause our Nation to lose it. They know that sponsoring bills of no confidence is exactly what they (Biden and other Senators)did during Vietnam. Their next step will be to strip funds from our troop’s effort, and limiting their numbers.
I thank God that these Baby Boomers weren't around when real men and women were fighting the Nazis during World War II. If they we had to rely on their leadership then we’d all be speaking German today. Think about what happened in that war.
Japan bombs Pearl Harbor. The "Do Nothing Cowards" would support us fighting in the Pacific, but what would they say about freeing Europe? "Germany didn't attack us!"-"Tojo is the person we should be focusing on!"-"The war in Europe is a great distraction on the real war in the Pacific!"-"President Roosevelt's war in Europe is too expensive-we can't fund our New Deal!"
What would they say about the losses during D-Day? "We lost more people during D-Day than we lost during the attacks on Pearl Harbor!"
What would they say about the Market Garden airborne operation in Holland? "The Roosevelt Administration won't admit their mistakes! They knew it was bridge too far!"
Can you imagine what the world would be like today if these spineless, selfish, power-hungry baby boomers were in charge during that war? I shudder to even think about the horror of that scenario.
You "Do Nothing Cowards" have two choices:
STEP UP and help us win this war by supporting our efforts
or STEP ASIDE and let real men and women do the hard tasks which must be done to win this battle in Iraq and the war on terror!
The truth is that these "Do Nothing Cowards" (Clinton, Obama, Kerry, Edwards, Kennedy, Biden, Dodd, and the RINO's who support them) have linked themselves so closely to our Nation failing in Iraq that they can't allow any measure which could lead to our military's success in that theater.
The truth is that they and their former DNC affiliated allies in the media have trumpeted the mistakes and failures in the war on terror instead of the successes. The truth is that in trumpeting failure these politicians have given succor to our enemy by inspiring them to continue and outlast your will to win. The truth is that they understand winning in Iraq will strengthen the Republican party, but they refuse to believe that if they help win it then it helps them too.
Remember former President Clinton bemoaning the fact that the attacks of September 11th didn’t happen on his watch? He said this because he realizes that moments in history define a Presidency, and the only moment he has is Monica Missiles. So what do the “Do Nothing Cowards” do? They tear down President Bush no matter what it does to our nations security.
The “Do Nothing Cowards” say we need to do everything the 911 Commission demands, but they cry out for us to stop listening in on suspect terrorist phone calls, and repeal the amendments in the PATRIOT act. By the way these are things the 911 Commission suggested we do.
Don't continue to support these two-face, fork-tongued, "Do Nothing Cowards" or any other gutless politician who doesn't demand everything it takes to win the battle for Iraq and the war on terror!
The truth hurts doesn't it?
Always Faithful,

I believe that those individual in congress that are not supporting the President but instead are signing non-binding bills against the Presidents policy have NO GUTS!! If they have convictions then why not cut off funding?? Don't say that they support the troops because if they don't want an additional 20k troops then they don't care if the present 100 plus K are killed. In addition why not send to the President and the citizens just exactly what their plan would be...No guts, thats what! PS> I am a Republican

You in the "Do Nothing Coward" Democrat Party who say, "We support the troops"..."Bring 'em Home", are truly delusional. Every volunteer serving as a soldier, sailor, or Marine wants to come home, but not until the battle for Iraq, and the war on terror is won. They want to come home, but only as victors over the terrorists. The problem with the war on terror is that the Democrat Party keeps opposing every successful measure taken to thwart our enemies.
The men and women in the military understand that every time one of your great Democrat Leaders opens her mouth and claims, "We are losing"..."We are going to lose"..."We can't win in Iraq", that her words give a comforting feeling of warmth to our enemies, and the rogue nations like Iran, Syria, Sudan, North Korea, and Venezuela who support terror.
I guarantee that if you search hard enough you'll find some people who served or are serving in the military that agree with the Democrat Party’s retreat and defeat ideology. Webb is one of those foolish few. However, the vast majority of those who serve want to win the battle for Iraq and the war on terror.
Just listen to what your leaders say about our Nation’s finest men and women who fight for our liberty and for the freedom of others around the world. Kerry slams our military as being uneducated. Thank God he made the decision not to join the race for U.S. President!
Chuck Rangel claims only poverty stricken youths desire serving our Nation in the military because-"That's there only hope". He should take a look at the statistics the DOD reported concerning his claim and he would know that he is wrong, wrong, wrong. Oh yeah, I need to recall that I’m talking about the Democrat Party-so truth means less than the message.
Your leaders have so much disrespect for anyone who is willing to do a job others don't or won't consider doing. Take a look at what one of your elitist Democrat Party leaders said last night to his fellow newly elected blowhards. I don’t know who it was, but he said you guys won the house and senate so that you could oppose the war, and if you don’t do so then do something safe like “Sell shoes!” I guess now people who sell shoes are somehow doing something beneath those of you who lead the “Do Nothing Cowards”.
I would much rather spend my days working with good people who do the work most of you look down upon then spend one minute with some elitist socialist like those in the “Do Nothing Coward” Democrat Party.
Do Rangel, Biden, Kerry, Clinton, Obama, Kucinich, Sheila Jackson-Lee and the rest of the Democrat Party truly believe that if those who serve in the military had not joined then they would be failures? Your leaders are glamorized in the press and by Hollywood as being great politicians-and that's their problem. The “Do Nothing Coward” Democrat Party is focused on their own political success instead of what is good for the United States of America.
Last night Webb quoted a great Republican President during his response to President Bush. The Eisenhower quote was used originally to describe what he planned to do during the Korean War. Is this what Webb wants to happen in Iraq? Does Webb want to divide that country into warring states that end up hating each other for the next 60+ years? Is Webb the best the Democrat Party can prop up? Is Webb someone who doesn’t want to win, and at best wants a stalemate in Iraq just like in Korea? Is Webb one who served in the Navy with honor, but has now somehow forgotten the lessons of Vietnam? Has Webb forgotten how the “Do Nothing Coward” Democrats like Biden and corrupt Republicans helped our nation lose Vietnam-a war Kennedy (a Democrat President) took us into us into, and one where our military won every major battle?
Obviously Webb has studied military history and he should know that had General McArthur been allowed to attack the enemy and win instead of being regulated and constrained by the then Democrat President Truman-the war in Korea would have been won. We also would not be troubled by a North Korean madman intent on obtaining nukes to sell on the black market.
I call myself Seeking Truth because that is what I truly want from my political leaders, and the press who report their deeds. I started communicating my opinion on your DNC site to see if I could get some kind of logical response from those of you who parrot each other’s supposedly intelligent words and support only the Democrat Party line. What I receive instead are responses from people who insult my intelligence, and tell me to shut up or go someplace where I can be agreed with.
Maybe the things that are said about the Democrat Party are true. Maybe the truth is that the Democrat Party truly does want our Nation to lose this battle for Iraq. Maybe the truth is the Democrat Party thinks the only problems in the world are caused by the United States of America-a nation of personal rights and liberty-instead of the totalitarian regimes around the globe. Maybe the truth is that the Democrat Party-like one of my truly socialist professors-thinks our Nation is too great and needs to be taken down a peg by losing another military conflict like we did in Vietnam. Maybe the truth is that the Democrat Party has no plan to win the battle for Iraq, and only opposes President Bush’s plan for victory because they know their allies in the socialist press will support them no matter how idiotic they act. Maybe all of those things that are said about the Democrat Party are true and that’s why I can’t get someone to respond logically.
I guess I’ll just have to keep posting so that some truthful logic will exist on your site. The truth hurts doesn’t it!
Remember September 11, 2001! Remember Flight 93! Keep rolling! Keep fighting against terrorists and those countries support them! We didn’t start this fight, but we will win it! God bless the United States of America, and God bless our troops!

I can't believe I just read someone talking about what brought down WTC 7! Let me guess-you think the evil Republicans and Israel conspired to kill almost 3000 people on September 11, 2001? Or are you like the KKK and Neo-Nazi fools who think it was the ZOG that planned that horrible day? I’m guessing you think the same people who committed the terror acts of September 11, 2001 are the same people who killed Kennedy, and Martin Luther King? Or maybe it was the Illuminati-or the Free Masons? Or do you think Aliens flew here from Planet X and crashed remote control planes into the buildings?
Since you obviously get your news from the internet, just type WTC 7 into a search engine and it will pull up all kinds of credible information like the following:
“Two buildings have been named 7 World Trade Center in New York, New York. The first building, which opened in 1987, was destroyed on September 11, 2001 during the terrorist attacks which took place that day. The newer building was completed in 2006 and it is the first with a World Trade Center address to be rebuilt.”
“NIST released video and still photo analysis of Building 7 prior to its collapse that appears to indicate a greater degree of structural damage from falling debris than originally assumed by FEMA. Specifically, the NIST interim report on 7 WTC displays photographs of the southwest facade of the building which clearly suffered significant damage from the falling main WTC twin towers. The NIST interim report on 7 WTC details a 10-story gash that existed on the south facade, extending a third of the way across the face of the building and approximately a quarter of the way into the interior, but does not provide any photographs of the damage to the south facade. A unique aspect of the design of 7 WTC was that each outer structural column was responsible for supporting 2,000 square feet (186 square meters) of floor space, suggesting that the simultaneous removal of a number of columns would lead to a severely compromised structure. Consistent with this theory, news footage shows visible cracking and bowing of the building's east wall immediately prior to the collapse, which started from the penthouse floors.”
I really didn’t expect some lunatic who thinks our nation is so evil that we would kill our own civilians for political power, but maybe I shouldn’t be so surprised. I mean, this was posted on the web site of the party who trumpets the success of our enemy so they can gain politically.
You conspiracy theorists are hilarious! The CIA killed Kennedy! The CIA killed Martin Luther King! The CIA and Bush had Cheney fly remotely controlled planes into the twin towers! It was a missile launched from a submarine that hit the Pentagon! Our government used controlled demolition to bring down the WTC twin towers and WTC 7!
You can believe every little conspiracy that comes down the pipe, but you won’t even consider the fact that Sadam might have had more to do with Al Qaeda than we know for sure? I am not saying he caused the terror attacks of that day, but think about what you’re saying.
Your hatred for the United States of America makes you believe every bad Hollywood conspiracy scenario about this country, but you won’t even consider that other nations could conspire with terrorists against us?! I pity your cowardice. No I reject your cowardice!
Any ignorant fool who believes as you do about 9-11-that our own government would do the things you conspiracy theorists believe-is a yellow coward. If you truly believe our country is that evil-then what the heck are you doing here? If you truly think that our nation does those kinds of things and you don’t lift a finger to stop them-then you are cowering fool who deserves your stupidity. Get a clue and get a life! Educate yourself beyond the internet. Just because some jerk wants to make some cash by deluding gullible ignoramuses like you-and posts stuff on the net doesn’t make it true.
No wonder the Democrat Party leaders are so far left. With friends and other Democrat Party supporters like you, who needs terrorist enemies?
By the way, I focus my attention on the events of September 11, 2001 because so many of you, my fellow citizens, and the Democrat Party seem to be suffering from a short attention span. I feel I must remind you because you seem to have forgotten what happened on that terrible day.
Remember September 11, 2001! Remember Flight 93! Keep rolling! Keep fighting against terrorists and those countries supporting them! We didn’t start this fight, but we will win it! God bless the United States of America, and God bless our troops!

You know, I really should stop reading your Democrat Party responses to my posts. None of you attempt to retort with sound logic and reason. You only answer with a smug sense of superiority that is indicative of the personalities who lead the Democrat Party. Some even dislike my manner of drafting. I am sorry that I don’t have the time to check my spelling and grammar before posting these quick notes.
It was suggested I read the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I have, and wish the Democrat Party would do the same.
The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) usually serves as constitutional arbiters who wield their power along the lines mandated within the great document. However, ever since Marshall’s decision for Marbury their power has grown. The fact is that most of the Rights the Democrats proclaim are not expressly stated in any form within the Constitution but have grown from SCOTUS decisions.
The Democrat Party demands privacy-but no where does it state our citizens have a right to privacy. The Supreme Court found that our Right to privacy is found within the “penumbra” formed out of some of the amendments. I might suggest that should they want privacy included in the Constitution- amend it.
Biden holds seminars where he teaches Constitutional Law but he and his party seem to have forgotten what the document and its amendments say. The Democrat Party says they want to protect our Constitutional Rights, but are happy to strip us of them when they deem it necessary.
The truth is that the Democrat Party shouts about imagined conspiracies that threaten our liberties mandated in the Constitution. The truth is that the Democrat Party chooses to ignore the real threat from terrorists and has decided that losing in Iraq is what they desire for our Nation. The truth is the Democrat Party needs to educate themselves and open their minds to the possibilities of victory in Iraq.
Did anyone notice that the Democrat Party never applauded when President Bush spoke of victory in Iraq? Why is that? I truly long for a truthful answer from the Democrat Party, but I am afraid I already know why. The truth is the Democrat Party does not want our country to win and will speak out with their allies in the press every day- trumpeting the horrors of battle instead of promising us victory.
I ask you in the Democrat Party to read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Here they are-straight from the National Archives and Records Administration web site-old time spelling and all. Enjoy!
Remember September 11, 2001! Remember Flight 93! Keep rolling! Keep fighting against terrorists and those countries support them! We didn’t start this fight, but we will win it! God bless the United States of America, and God bless our troops!

No Person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years, and been nine Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State for which he shall be chosen.
The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided.

Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.
Section. 4.
The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.
The Congress shall assemble at least once in every Year, and such Meeting shall be on the first Monday in December, unless they shall by Law appoint a different Day.
Section. 5.
Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members, and a Majority of each shall constitute a Quorum to do Business; but a smaller Number may adjourn from day to day, and may be authorized to compel the Attendance of absent Members, in such Manner, and under such Penalties as each House may provide.
Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.
Each House shall keep a Journal of its Proceedings, and from time to time publish the same, excepting such Parts as may in their Judgment require Secrecy; and the Yeas and Nays of the Members of either House on any question shall, at the Desire of one fifth of those Present, be entered on the Journal.
Neither House, during the Session of Congress, shall, without the Consent of the other, adjourn for more than three days, nor to any other Place than that in which the two Houses shall be sitting.
Section. 6.
The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States. They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.

Section. 7.
All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.
Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States: If he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the Bill, it shall be sent, together with the Objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a Law. But in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively. If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the Same shall be a Law, in like Manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its Return, in which Case it shall not be a Law.
Every Order, Resolution, or Vote to which the Concurrence of the Senate and House of Representatives may be necessary (except on a question of Adjournment) shall be presented to the President of the United States; and before the Same shall take Effect, shall be approved by him, or being disapproved by him, shall be repassed by two thirds of the Senate and House of Representatives, according to the Rules and Limitations prescribed in the Case of a Bill.
Section. 8.
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations;

To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;
To provide and maintain a Navy;
To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces;
To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;
