Making history in the business world, Linda G. Alvarado made her mark by realizing her dream of owning her own construction company. Ms. Alvarado serves as an inspiration for women to disregard stereotypes and focus upon their personal goals and desires. Her successful leadership has led to her construction company becoming one of the fastest growing commercial general contracting firms in America.
Her accomplishments includes holding directorships on the boards of six major corporate boards and co-owning the Colorado Rockies. That has earned her a place in the Small Business Administration's Hall of Fame, along with a "Business and Sports" award from a National Latina Organization (MANA).
Linda G. Alvarado deserves praise for her work as a community activist and philanthropist. Of her many honors, some include being named one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics in America by Hispanic Business Magazine, "Woman of the Year" by the Mexican American Foundation, and the 2001 Horatio Alger Award.
