Four Years After He Said It Was Over, Bush Opposes Ending the War
This Tuesday marks four years since George W. Bush posed in a flight suit on the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln and declared that major combat operations in Iraq were over. The famous "Mission Accomplished" banner hung above him as he spoke.
Since that day on May 1, 2003, over 3,450 U.S. soldiers have lost their lives. Thousands more have been injured, many permanently disabled. In April alone, there were over 100 U.S. deaths, making it one of the worst months since 2003, as our troops are forced to confront a deadly escalation in the Iraqi civil war.
In recent weeks, Democrats have clashed with the White House over the Iraq Accountability Act, which would provide funding for the equipment and armor that the troops need while setting a timetable to bring them home. Bush has already announced that he will veto the bill.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told "Fox News Sunday" that such a timetable would hamper "the flexibility of our commanders to do what they think they need to do on the ground, calling it "micromanagement" of the war. In earlier remarks, Bush referred to the timetables as "artificial."
Bush could veto the Iraq Accountability Act as soon as tomorrow--exactly four years to the day that he declared the war over and "Mission Accomplished" during the photo-op on the Navy carrier. Another anniversary, on July 2, marks four years since the president taunted insurgents to "Bring it on," in response to a rising number of attacks on U.S. troops. Since he uttered those words, another 3,144 soldiers have died.

MISSION NEEDS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED !
No, I'm not talking about the infamous Bush statement. Rather, I'm talking about the inability of the Democrats to do what we elected them for....end the war. Talk, talk, talk. Compromise, compromise, compromise. Isn't it clear that nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, will be accomplished till the evil bastards in the stonewalling, lying whitehouse are impeached and gone.
Of course it's clear....so why is there not a single Congressperson who supports Dennis Kucinich's resolution to impeach. Is posturing to hang on to your job in '08 so important that you are willing to sit by and watch the killing and other despicable evils perpetrated by the adminstration continue...while we talk, compromise, investigate and do nothing. It's not as if supporting Kucinich will cost you your job...a majority of Americans want impeachment. Why are the American people so far ahead of Congress and the Democratic party?
And why do we sit back and let Kucinich be tarred as a "crazy" left wing luny. It is really so crazy to want diplomacy by bombing to end and an end to U.S. militarism. An annual military budget of over 1/2 a trillion dollars, several million U.S. troops stationed in over 700 bases worldwide, a 19 billion dollar nuke program including the development of new nukes, continued torture and renditions, billions wasted on star wars and other useless weapons, millions killed maimed, sickened and tortured over the last few decades by U.S. initiated wars or sanctions. Does anyone doubt that the military industrial complex runs this country along with big oil, pharmaceuticas, etc. Dennis wants this to end and for the U.S. to live peacefully among nations rather than the ruler of the world. I guess he must be crazy. But again, isn't there a single Democrat that agrees with him?
thank GOD I am not the only sane person here.
I'm with Kucinich so far. if his ideas are crazy-then I am proud to be as crazy as he is. how can the American people NOT demand impeachment? these bastards are waving their deceptions in our faces! they are rubbing our country and our proud flag in a big vat of oil and shit. they laugh at us! they see us as insignificant little ants in their universe of power and death.
HOW MUCH MORE ARE WE GOING TO TOLERATE!!!!
why is there a delay in posting?
are you editing?
you know I don't like it when you do that!
I had better see more topics regarding GETTING OUR VOTES COUNTED THIS TIME!!! this is one of the biggest obstacles we face right now! ANY of the Democratic candidates would be a million times better than bush or another republican. I of course am going to vote for the person I think is best for the job....but I'll guarantee it won't be a republican.
GET THOSE DAMNED VOTING MACHINES WORKING NOW!!!
THEY WORKED IN VIRGINIA!!! who would have thought a year ago that we would ever take out george allen?
do you think I curse like this all the time?
I really don't. I could never hold down a REAL job if I did. I curse because
I AM ANGRY.
I am angry because
I AM AFRAID!
I am afraid for my country!
for my daughter's future.
my daughter is a student at Virginia Tech.
when the madness went down on 4-16, I thought of Iraq. that is how they live every day.
EVERY SINGLE DAY.
well, my daughter has been very distraught.
she told me last week
"mom, this is not about Iraq. everything is not always about Iraq."
my poor baby said that FOR ONCE she would like to think that bush was sincere when he came to Tech. that he was really sorry for the loss of life and the madness. do you know how upsetting that is? that our so called president has no regard for human life? that my poor sweet daughter cannot have the comfort of knowing that in America, we do value life and that our legally elected President DOES care when people are needlessly shot down?
Tim Kaine signed a law in today that stops people who are COURT ORDERED to get mental health counseling from getting guns. a really good idea. I'm sure the NRA will be all over it before the day is over. that's not like you or I or millions of other people who CHOOSE to see a counselor. it's people who are going to harm someone or themselves and are ORDERED BY A JUDGE to get help.so maybe we can stop a senseless tragedy like the one at Tech. but how do we stop the madman in the white house?
ok I'm done for tonight.
I still have a hard time ranting about Tech.
it's a very violent world we live in.
KUCINICH FOR PEACE!!!
According to the Borgen Project, $340 billion has already been spent in Iraq and we have a $522 billion military budget. What has resulted from that money? The money would be better spent on plans such as the UN Millennium Development Goals to end global poverty. Just $19 billion annually can end starvation and malnutrition. Issues such as poverty foster a lot of the tensions that exist in the world today. As leaders in this world, we really need to get behind peaceful growth rather than war. While Bush claimed that the war would liberate the Iraqi people, it has accomplished nothing but exacerbating the middle-east tenshion.
I thought I would share this video which is very appropriate for the 4 Year Annivesary of Mission Accomplished tomorrow!

I thought I would share this very appropriate and very moving video with you all.

oh my goodnes...I didn't mean to post it 3 times...what's up with the delay..
sorry guys
Why continue to fund an Iraqi civil war and place our troops in harm's way when we will never be able to control the situtation?
This isn't about us. It hasn't been since those WMD were not found. The Iraqis must decide their own fate. Either they work with the UN to reach a political solution or they will continue to fight till someone wins.
The Iraquis have lost all faith in us and want us to leave. We should have the good grace to get out and let them pick up the pieces.
If Bush vetoes this bill, let it die. We don't have a super majority to over ride it. So let him figure out what to do next.
SandyH -
It's time to start demanding that Congress rescind the original authorization resolution by Congress to take hostile action against Iraq.
As I understand it (and anyone please correct me if I'm wrong) a resolution of Congress requires no approval, and cannot be vetoed by, the president.
We are probably close to having the votes already to sustain a "deauthorization" resolution in the House. If not, sustained talk of doing so among us civilians and the continued failure of the "surge" in Iraq will muster the votes in a few short months.
Of course, we don't have the votes to break a certain filibuster in the Senate. FINE! Then let's "go nuclear" like Frist threatened last session and get rid of the cloture rule for good. What the hell, if Democrats can't filibuster a USSC nominee because seven stupid Dem Senators sign on with the Gang of 14, but Republicans can nevertheless now filibuster whenever they want (and have), what use is the cloture rule to Democrats anyway?
Deauthorize the Iraq Occupation now!
Posted by BaronScarpia on April 30, 2007 at 09:36 PM
Baron,
I believe it will come to that in the end. But I fear it will take another year before the Beltway politicans muster the nerve to do it.
We cannot let this outrageous situation continue into another President's term. The mistake was made by Bush and he must be made to face the consequences of his incompetence.
It's way past time to make ammends to the Iraqi people for this invasion and destablization of their society. We have no right to be there and the American public knows it.
Our troops and the military establishment have suffered enough for the Commander-in-Chief's hasty and irresponsible actions in gettng us into this mess.
It's time to turn up the heat and keep the pressure on. Contact your Representatives and Senators now and tell them you want an end to the Iraq war now. It's time to put some back-bone in this congress and force them to do the will of the American people. No more excuses. Click on the links below to take action.
After you're done with that call the Whitehouse comments line and tell them support our trooops, bring them home now! 202-456-1111
If you haven't done so please also sign the petition telling President Bush NOT to veto the Iraq bill. It's an important first step in ending the war in Iraq. Join Hillary in telling him to listen to the will of the people and to Congress, withdraw his veto threat. Click on link below to take action:
Dear Sadie, Don't worry, all the people that have a brain are sacred and that means me. I'm a 60 year old man that has never seen things falling apart in this country this bad. This country is not going to hell its already there. And the Democrats along with the Republicans have put us there. I'm hoping along with a lot of people that the Democrats have woke up and learned that they have to either shit or get of the pot. My Children are going to be really hurt by all the stupidity in Washington D.C. Plus I may never get my Social Security when I'm 62, just like a lot of people that have worked all there lives and now we have to work untill we drop dead. But what do the people we elect do??? They give them self a big raise and tell us to go to HELL.
60 Minutes interviewed George Tenet, the previous Bush admin. CIA chief, and aired the interview Sunday. Tenet indicated they (CIA) had "knocked down" the false report about the Niger uranium deals three weeks before Bush's State of the Union address. I recall from network news before the invasion of Iraq that the UN also had declared the Niger uranium purchase documents to be forgeries. A video of Cheney was shown on NBC news last week claiming that Sadaam had assembled nuclear weapons and had nuclear weapons capability. The CIA did not give any such information to Bush-Cheney. Tenet believed Sadaam did not have nucelar weapons capability and could not develop it for some years.
Bush deliberately lied to the public about Iraqi nuclear capability. He is to blame for giving false information based on forgery.
The author(s) of the forged uranium documents that did not come from the Niger government has not yet been convicted. I do not believe that Bush asked for an investigation.
Don't worry Sadie. They would not post mine either. The Democrats can not handle the truth.
Dearest Democrats,
Are any of you troubled as I am that this President continues to use English that does not match his actions? Now is it because he is a liar or he doesn't know how to speak English?
I think it’s the former because the President himself has indicated he does not speak English well. That’s his excuse for misspeaking, misrepresenting, misappropriating, mishandling, Iraq, Afghanistan, New Orleans, Dubai Ports Deal, Halliburton, KKR, all the lost jobs, all the immigration issues, the misunderstanding of US Constitutional Law, etc., etc., etc., ….
I don’t buy the stupid act. He is not stupid and his administration personnel are not stupid, they conspired against America took us to war for profit reasons. To his men the mission is accomplished, they are profiteering from the death and warfare. We need to start debating his point not make our point. That’s not his mission. That’s our mission.
Concern
If Bush vetos is it a big waste of lives and resources.

it looks like we are all in agreement here!
IF HE VETOES THE BILL- CUT OFF THE FUNDING AND START IMPEACHMENT!~ HOW MUCH CLEARER CAN WE BE?

They worked in 2006! All across the nation!
If democrats lose in '08, it's the machines fault!
Sorry to disagree, but 3450 American military personnel have NOT "lost their lives." They have been killed in a warrantless enterprise on the orders of a maniacal chief executive. It may seem insignificant, but it's my position that one of the reasons we're in the mess we're in is because we've become really careless about who's doing what to whom. When we fail to assign responsibility accurately, we end up not being able to bring the responsible people to account.
To HybridFuel, You will find what an act it is if you Google Zapata Corp. You`ll find that the Bushes have been in more debacles than you can imagine. They are also set up to do more with such a family of thieves. They are the lowest of the low!
Sorry, Sadie, but you'll have to tell your daughter the George Bush doesn't care. He was just posturing to get approval.
The common features of a sociopath are: very manipulative, has a grandiose sense of self, is a pathological liar, has no remorse, shame or guilt, an incapacity for love, no empathy whatsoever, changes his story to avoid consequences, and has no realistic life plan.
Our president is criminally insane.
INVESTIGATE! IMPEACH!! INDICT!!!
When we fail to assign responsibility accurately, we end up not being able to bring the responsible people to account.

Excellent point.
We are all shocked how easily the Democrats gave in. Is that the will of the American people?
Why not re-issueing the bill over and over again until the Presidency of Bush ends.
O yeah, you have to be bi-partisan crooks and liars. While the troops butcher more and more innocent civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan.
That raises the question wheter the American people would have supported Nazi-Soldiers.
But kicking doors in Baghdad and Afghanistan and dragging old men and their sons out of their clay huts for torture is a heroic act of American troops.
This nation must be sick and rotten.
Hi,
The president just vetoed a plan that would bring our troops home from Iraq this year.
There's a huge amount of pressure right now on Democrats in Congress to compromise and give the president what he wants. We need to make sure Congress stands firm on a deadline to end the war--instead of sending another blank check.
Can you help out by signing the petition at the link below? It'll only take a second.
Thanks!
From www.orbat.com:
The compromise with President Bush that the Democrats said they want to discuss turns out to be an abject surrender. They will drop their insistence on a timeline for withdrawal, essentially giving the President the blank check he has insisted on for every aspect of the GWOT and Iraq since the start.
The Democrats say they have made their point. Let's applaud with one hand. The truth is Congress does not want to end this war. The President is congenitally unable to admit he has made a mistake on Iraq, and has convinced himself that blind stubbornness equates to a principled stand. He has a one point strategy: keep fighting and let the next administration deal with the mess.
For their part, the Democrats also have a one point strategy: keep verbally opposing the war without taking the responsibility for ending it by refusing money. This way they can continue to blame Mr. Bush.
Both sides ignore three small matters. First, the military has been committed to an unwinable war and subjected to a repeatedly-failed strategy. But who cares if a 1000 or 1500 Americans a year continue to die, to say nothing of the thousands more who return each year with horrific wounds that cripple them for life. Second, huge sums of money are being wasted, helping to reduce the economic strength on which depends American hegemony. Third, and most important, few seem to care that the insane and inane focus on Iraq is crippling the US ability to take on other threats that are far worse than that ever posed by Saddam.
A pox on both your houses!
Bush Repeats His Devious Message With A New Insulting Twist!
By Jean-Pierre Ady Fenyo, Philosopher
(also at DNC partybuilder BLOGs)
"If we were to leave Iraq before the government can defend itself, there would be a security vacuum in the country," Bush warned. "Extremists from all factions could compete to fill that vacuum, causing sectarian killing to multiply on a horrific scale."
"The Al-Qaeda terrorists who behead captives or order suicide bombings would not be satisfied to see America defeated and gone from Iraq," Bush said. "They would be emboldened by their victory, protected by their new sanctuary, eager to impose their hateful vision on surrounding countries, and eager to harm Americans."
These statements show that Bush does not want to respond to what we Democrats have really been saying and suggesting! Bush deliberately distorts public perception as much as he thinks he can, by making it sound like we Democrats are for a full, sudden and dangerously naive pull-out from Iraq!
Nothing could be further from the truth!
What we have always said, since just before The Baker-Hamilton Commission's report and reccomendations on solving the Fiasco in Iraq, is that we need a change in specific tactics, strategy and mission. We need to recognize, as the Baker-Hamilton Commission agreed entirely, the fact that this has become a Sectarian Civil War combined with guerrilla tactic attacks on our troops and some terrorist attacks too. That history has shown over and over again, without exception, that, short of committing genocide, which America is never willing to do, conventional military force is senseless against guerrilla attacks and in a civil war situation! Thus, without a massive, intelligent and thorough diplomatic and political effort, without changing our tactics, strategy and mission goal, the situation in Iraq will only get worse, much worse!
What we Democrats want is to reposition enough of our troops to the borders and out of the middle of this sectarian civil war! We want to reduce our presence in Iraq sufficiently so as to provide breathing space and restore confidence in the U.S. as a nation that knows its limits and respects the need for compromise, cooperation and constructive dialogue! Dialogue and diplomacy rather than giant stick, short carrot threats and intimidation! After all, so long as the surrounding predominantly Sunnite Arab nations, as well as Turkey and predominantly Shiite Iran (who are not Arab nations) fear that they will be the next ones to be invaded, they will do nothing to help bring an end to most of the hostilities and violence in Iraq! Like it or not, Iraq's neighbors, especially Saudi Arabia and Syria, cannot afford to allow America to even appear victorious!
All of these facts show how wrong Bush and The Bush Administration is on the Fiasco in Iraq, which their unintelligent and very dangerous foreign policy caused in the first place.
The longer Bush ignores the advice of the overwhelming majority of prominent American international security experts and former directors of the CIA and the military intelligence community, as well as former Presidents Carter, Clinton and to some degree Bush's own father, the more he will be held accountable for the deaths of our U.S. troops!
This unintelligent overall misnamed "War On Terror" has actually increased the number of terrorists and terror attacks. The only two reasons why we have not experienced any significant major attacks on the U.S. mainland since 9-11 is because we have so many patriotic, dedicated lovers of The Constitution like you and I, who have been vigilant and because we have been rather lucky too! While the Bush Administration has been throwing good money after bad on the Fiasco in Iraq, and diverting our efforts away from the real danger in Afghanistant and elsewhere, we have failed to create the super hi-tech, ultra-efficient, anti-terrorist, stealth, ninja-like, precision-targetting special forces units we need to effectively fight The Global Fight Against Terrorists, as it should properly be called! A "War On Terrorism" is impossible to fight and win without committing genocide and eventually causing The Final World War! A Global Fight Against Terrorists can be fought very effectively, but only with enough international cooperation and support from our historic allies, such as France and The U.K., and other nations! A "War On Terror" war gives any sitting President too much power and helps corrode and destroy Our Constitution! The failed foreign policy and dumb domestic policy of The Bush Administration has cost us dearly, way too dearly, in heroic lives lost for no good reason, in vast amounts of money that could have been used to save American lives from poverty, crime and corruption here at home, and Bush's massive failure on foreign policy has severely damaged our foreign international security interests and our economic trade and commerce interests! Because of Bush's arrogant, pseudo-cowboy gung-ho gunboat diplomacy, because of his failure to work with other nations to combat al-Qaeda and all other terrorists, because of his stupid idea of naming and thus threatening Iran and Syria openly he has weakened political progress in those key regional nations, and all in all his disastrous foreing policy has reversed decades of hard foreign policy work by previous U.S. administrations, both Republican and Democratic!
America is beginnig to see that all of this is true! That we Democrats are more right on Iraq than most Republicans! America is beginnig to see how this Bush administration is willing to play really dirty politics of confuse, obfuscate, divide and conquer the public for political gain, eternal power and ultimately for excessive wealth, MONEY! Bush's message is pure fear-mongering and actually serves the very interest of bin Laden and other terrorist enemies of Our Country, The United States of America! And even the top pseudo-Republican presidential candidates are doing the same thing when they dare lie and imply that we Democrats are weak and willing to endanger our country! When Bush, Cheney and Giulianni, to name the most prominent few, say that voting for us Democrats is the same as voting for the terrorists, the same as endangering our national security and surrendering to the enemy, they are not only lying through their teeth, but they are basically saying that there is no need for elections and democracy in America, and by so doing they threaten to do what sick bin Laden, al Qaeda and other terrorists could never accomplish! The pseudo-Republicans are threatening to hand over our democracy and freedoms to sick bin Laden, al-Qaeda and all of America's enemies!!!
Bush should do the right thing and put and end to this dangerous politics of fear-mongering and lying! NOW!

How can we afford not to impeach president bush and VP cheney ?
Future generations, very soon will not be forgiving with us. It will go as follows.
The November 2006 election has been ignored by this administration, as does reality that does not fit the right-wing-bizzarro world-view, in general. However, the Democratic majority commands subpoena power. Once the bush administration's machinations are exposed to sunlight, there also will be Republican allies, namely those who have enough spine and maybe a shred of common sense.
Does anybody believe that this is not the worst administration ever ???
If bush & cheney are not impeached now, then the democratic majority will appear as a co-conspirator, co-criminal.
The constitution has been raped multiple times, our image around the world has been shredded beyond recognition, and - IRAQ IRAQ IRAQ IRAQ IRAQ IRAQ
How can you ask the last man/woman to sacrifice their life for one man's personality disorder ???
This is an extremely realistic and to-the-point comment by NYT columnist Frank Rich.
.....
PRESIDENT BUSH has skipped the funerals of the troops he sent to Iraq. He took his sweet time to get to Katrina-devastated New Orleans. But last week he raced to Virginia Tech with an alacrity not seen since he hustled from Crawford to Washington to sign a bill interfering in Terri Schiavo’s end-of-life medical care. Mr. Bush assumes the role of mourner in chief on a selective basis, and, as usual with the decider, the decisive factor is politics. Let Walter Reed erupt in scandal, and he’ll take six weeks to show his face — and on a Friday at that, to hide the story in the Saturday papers. The heinous slaughter in Blacksburg, Va., by contrast, was a rare opportunity for him to ostentatiously feel the pain of families whose suffering cannot be blamed on the administration.
...Yet each man’s [Wolfowitz and Gonzalez] latest infractions, however serious, are mere misdemeanors next to their roles in the Iraq war. What’s being lost in the Beltway uproar is the extent to which the lying, cronyism and arrogance showcased by the current scandals are of a piece with the lying, cronyism and arrogance that led to all the military funerals that Mr. Bush dares not attend. Having slept through the fraudulent selling of the war, Washington is still having trouble confronting the big picture of the Bush White House. Its dense web of deceit is the deliberate product of its amoral culture, not a haphazard potpourri of individual blunders.
Mr. Gonzales’s politicizing of the Justice Department is a mere bagatelle next to his role as White House counsel in 2002, when he helped shape the administration’s legal argument to justify torture. That paved the way for Abu Ghraib, the episode that destroyed America’s image and gave terrorists a moral victory. But his efforts to sabotage national security didn’t end there. ....(goes on to describe Gonzaelez' involvement in the nomination of Bernard Kerik)
.................
- Frank Rich is correct, he is absolutely right.
bush and cheney need to be impeached NOW, better yesterday than today.
Do Democrats hope that the mess will become so stinky that they will come out with the presidency plus a filibuster-proof majority in the senate ? Need enough time to position the Presidential candidates who are milking obscene amounts of money ?
How about our country ?
If bush were impeached in the US Senate it is 100% certainty that so much dirt/ crimes will come out that he will be convicted and removed from office. That would be the day for America to celebrate and thank God. After that, no amnesty please. Full sunshine and full-responsibility in front of US courts of law. Plus money back from Halliburton, Blackwater et al.
Can anybody in the Democratic party muster the leadership to get up and lead our country out of this mess ? The criminals and incompetents are RAPING and pillaging our country. US men and women are dying to satisfy one man's lunacy, meanwhile funds better used for health care, counterterrorism and research are being fed into a black-hole at hyper-accelerating speed.
Our country is being raped as the Democratic congress watches. You have the force to stop this, thus you have a mandate to impeach bush and cheney, the most un-American administration EVER. Clinton was impeached, Nixon was about to be impeached and resigned. bush's crimes and un-American way of governing are light-years past the threshold for impeachment, conviction and removal from office.
IMPEACH bush NOW, IT IS YOUR PATRIOTIC DUTY !!!

Yes the American people can end all the frustration and the misrepresentation of their good morals and Democratic Government in the Iraq war.
Let us permanently end Republican Administration’s not being careful enough not to run our government with the same corruption that terrorists accuse America of and sensationalize through violence as true.
Hold America’s head up for the beheaded and an American Soldier.
Vote Democratic in 2008! Vote for American Pride!
I am not against War, for the right reasons. Reasons like defending when we are attacked, supporting our close allies and fighting the war on terror. The War in Iraq does NONE of these. Trading blood for Oil so the fat cats can get fatter is BS and America should not stand for it. We need to get out- If the people of Iraq cannot get over their conflicts, which i realize is an almost impossible task, then we have no business being their. We took out Saddam; did what we came to do. We came with to little strength and info. Al Queda only came there because we were there. We need to leave, or accept Iraq as chapter Two of VIETNAM. I do not wish to take anything away from the brave man and women serving this country- they are fine people. I come frim a military family and know of the sacrifice. It is King George that I have a quarrel with- and apparently so does America. In 2008 fix the problem; Vote for a person that is in line with your ideals. Personally I hope to God that Al Gore decides to run. We chose to leave Iraq; Bush needs to bend to the people to be broken by them.
Youngthinker- smarter than your average high-school student.
TAKE OUT THE DEADLINE DATES OF YOUR FUNDING PROPOSAL BUT DON’T YOU DARE TAKE OUT YOUR AGENDA TO STOP THIS WAR DEMOCRATIC PARTY.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE NEXT DEMOCRATIC FUNDING PROPOSAL SETS OUT THE SAME BENCHMARKS AND SAYS THE SAME THING IN THAT IF IRAQ MEETS THE BENCHMARKS AMERICA COULD START TO LEAVE, ONLY THIS TIME WITHOUT A DATE.
JUST TAKE THE DATES OUT OF THE FUNDING BILL FOR THE STUPID REPUBLICAN POLITICIANS.
THE REPUBLICAN ELECT IS HELPING THE PRESIDENT LEAD A POLICY THAT AMERICA IS NEVER GOING TO LEAVE IRAQ WITH A DATE MENTIONED? AMERICA IS NEVER GOING TO INFORM THE WORLD OR AMERICA’S OWN PUBLIC ON WHAT DATE OUR SOLDIERS ARE GOING TO START TO LEAVE IRAQ?
I HAVE NOT ONLY HAD IT WITH THIS WAR, I HAVE HAD IT WITH THE BLATANTLY STUPID REPUBLICAN POLITICS FLAUNTED IN EVERYBODY'S FACE LIKE THE PUBLIC DOES NOT KNOW WHAT INCOMPETENCE IS.
AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED, THE WHOLE ADMINISTRATION AND ALL THE REPUBLICAN PARTY LEADERS NEED TO BE IMPEACHED BECAUSE THEY ARE FOLLOWING THE POLICY AND POLITICS LIKE AMERICA IS NEVER LEAVING IRAQ. WELL I HOPE THE REPUBLICAN PARTY GETS THE MESSAGE IN 2008 THAT NOT ONLY IS AMERICA LEAVING IRAQ THE CURRENT REPUBLICAN PARTY LEADERSHIP IS LEAVING TOO.
I MEAN IT DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE, THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY NEEDS TO BE ASSERTIVE AND KEEP EVERYTHING THEY HAD IN THAT VETOED FUNDING BILL BUT THE DATES.
SOME REPUBLICAN LEADERS ACTUALLY VOTED THAT THEY WOULD NOT SUPPORT PROJECTING A DATE TO LEAVE IRAQ WHILE THEY ARE TELLING VOTERS THAT THEY WILL SUPPORT A DATE FOR LEAVING LATER?
Do Republican Presidential and Congressional Candidates with a place in Congress who voted in support of George Bush that there should not be a deadline date on leaving Iraq in the Iraq war funding proposal ever plan to contradict their selves and leave Iraq with a projected date someday?
DEMOCRATIC LEADERS HAVE THOUGHT THROUGH LEAVING IRAQ: Where is the competition?
