Brownback Thinks He Has a Uterus

During Tuesday’s presidential debate, Sen. Sam Brownback (R-KS) repeatedly motioned to his stomach as he argued against pro-choice policies, while saying things like, "Here in the womb." Brownback argued specifically for prohibiting rape and incest victims from obtaining an abortion. ThinkProgress has the clip.

Yeah, it's a shame he thinks he has a brain...or a heart either.

LORETTA: It's every man's right to have babies if he wants them.
REG: But... you can't have babies.
LORETTA: Don't you oppress me.
REG: I'm not oppressing you, Stan. You haven't got a womb! Where's the foetus going to gestate?! You going to keep it in a box?!
JUDITH:
Here! I-- I've got an idea. Suppose you agree that he can't actually have babies, not having a womb, which is nobody's fault, not even the Romans', but that he can have the right to have babies.
FRANCIS:
Good idea, Judith. We shall fight the oppressors for your right to have babies, brother. Sister. Sorry.
REG:
What's the point?
FRANCIS:
What?
REG:
What's the point of fighting for his right to have babies when he can't have babies?!
FRANCIS:
It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression.
REG:
Symbolic of his struggle against reality.

I say again, if it were men who were the sex that had babies, Abortion would not even be an issue! It would be a sacrilege! There would be no debate on what they could do with their bodies and organs.

Try telling a man what he can and can't do with his penis!

If it wasn't for Sandra Day O'Conner, there's one thing they couldn't do with it. Leave it up to a woman to understand what's private and what's Big Brother out of control.

But she sold out and retired. Nevermind.

what right does he have to say that a woman that was raped has to live with a product of that event for 9 months...If it were me I would just find a different way to get rid of the baby and that would just probably cost me my life too...

There is a scary thought... though no matter how out of touch I think the Neo-Cons are somebody always comes to surprise me. I just wished that it was a good suprise like a conscious or soul.

Sorry, this is where you all lose me. If this guy is saying that he is for protecting an innocent victim of the rape (the child) then his motives are not evil.

Evil, No, not at all. But lets take a second. Why should he even have a say in what I do with my body. Furthermore, lets say that aborton does become illegal... Are any of these people going to be around to help me take care of this child? Are they going to watch it while I go to work or Feed and clothe it?? If not then why should they have a say in what happens. What I do has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with anyone else. Because after that baby is born, these people could not care less!!! So if you are not going to take an active role in this childs life...dont even try to force me to have it if i do not want to. Just an opinion.
