South Carolina Treasurer Thomas Ravenel, the state chairman of Rudolph Giuliani's election campaign, was indicted yesterday on federal cocaine charges. The former real estate developer, a millionaire, is accused of buying less than 500 grams of the drug to share with other people in late 2005, U.S. Attorney Reggie Lloyd said. Ravenel, 44, is charged with distribution of cocaine, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. The Giuliani campaign said he had stepped down from his campaign post.
Here's Ravenel sharing his thoughts on the world. What's hard to believe is that Giuliani had no idea this guy was on drugs...

Would you buy a used car from this man? He talks fast and says absolutely nothing of substance. If he's not on drugs, he has a real concentration problem.
i can picture this guy lowering himself down from the roof of the humanities building on a rope to gain entry to the freshman english professor's office so he can steal the final exam and have a chance of passing.
there is no doubt he is a true supply sider...there are few businesses that lend themselves to unfettered capitalism as nicely as drug dealing. so he was wheeling about a pound and a quarter of peruvian marching powder....not major but a bit more than a whole lot of folks who are doing very long bids in prison...if he can serve his time in new york bernie and rudy might let him run the vending machine scam in the visitation room where all the principles of the great economists he refers to can be applied...

I think Rudy Giuliani knew about this dirty business his partner was doing. And if he didn´t, he has fault too, because he failed at the obligation of choosing reliable members to stay by his side.
