From the NY Daily News:
All-but-declared GOP presidential candidate Fred Thompson is shilling for a company whose co-founder was accused of secretly tapping into people's bank accounts.
The ex-"Law & Order" actor is airing a one-minute radio spot around the country for LifeLock, an identity-protection company co-founded by Robert Maynard.

I thought he was going to announce on the 4th of July. What happened?
Maybe his ties with Scooter Libby's defense fund or the info coming out about his K-street lobbying career, especially for foreign govenments and dictators,is not polling well in focus groups?
Nah, it's probably the rented red pick up truck reports from a past election that have slowed down his momentum. That kind of deliberate conning of the rednecks gets lots of anger going in red states. I just saw another story on CNN about it.
This guy has played more corrupt character roles in real life than in his acting career.
Freddy boy is a cheeseball second rate actor and corporate bag man.
Folks, I really hate to break this to you, but any number of people can find out what's in your bank account. It's not even hard.
It's technically against the law--but a lot of people in business wink at this. If they want to know, they WILL know. If you have a telephone, they can get everything they want. I think most people have no clue how little real privacy they have. What little you had has been given to AT&T. Hope you trust 'em. ^o^
You guys are a gas. Red states, CNN, Focus Groups. Yeah what ever. You guys watch too much TV
Fred said it all in the most heartfelt speech I ever saw him make. Hiding behind his character as a corrupt Right Wing Cult leader he gave a long speech about the joys of being a corrupt Right Wing Cult leader.
It was the last of the last season of the TV show Wiseguy. If someone can find it and youtube it, it would stand well as the heartfelt reasoning for the Culture of Corruption
