Majority of Americans Believe Democratic Control of Congress Is Better for the Country

Speaking of polls...
As President Bush's approval rating drops to near-historic lows of 26% (ouch!), a majority of Americans still believe that Democratic control of Congress is better for America, according to a new CNN/Opinion Research Poll released Friday.
57 percent said they believe Democratic control of Congress is good for the country, as opposed to 31 percent who said it is not.
...Fifty-three percent of 907 poll respondents who are registered voters said they would vote for a Democratic candidate for Congress if elections were held today, as opposed to 41 percent who said they would vote Republican.
Overall, 51% of respondents have a favorable opinion of the Democratic Party--compared to just 36% of respondents who have a favorable opinion of the Republican Party.

That's the same poll i read last week on political wire and it also said some of the public wants to see the republicans back in charge which is nuts.

I have always thought that control by the Democratic Party was best for our great country, but I must protest the push for amnesty and citizenship for those who have broken our laws and entered this country illegally. You need to spend more time listening to the democrats from the western states to REALLY hear what your constituants want. That is NOT happening yet.
Come on. You/we have a chance to change the mess, but NOT if you keep pushing for amnesty and citizenship. YOU WILL NOT ELECT A DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT WITH THAT PLATFORM.

I'm with Violet!
Eventhough Bush is a Bastard, Democrats are falling in lock step behind The Great Pumkin-Kennedy. He wants to give international law breakers amnesty. Hell! We can't get amnesty if we break the law! More evidence that it doesn't matter who's in office; they will do what they want, not what Americans want.
In American, local, state and federal governments lack the backbone to do the right thing because they lack values. They're are afraid of twelve million illegal hispanics, not 100 million legal citizens. Only 35 million legal citizens will vote democratic anyway. The odds are in favor of the united hispanic population.
The people scatter like sheep before the wolf.

DNC - don't congratulate yourselves so soon.
Some of us dems are gettin ready to walk. Why? We are tired of inaction when we are in the need of impeachment and leadership. Nothing less. I WILL LET ANOTHER REPUBLINUT GET ELECTED if you don't start stepping up to your presumed values. Impeach. Or else.
As it goes: No matter how good lookin yhou are, someone somewhere is sick of your shit.

First off the DNC has nothing to do with this mess the dems in congress are in the anger should be directed at the DLC and Rahm Emanuel.
Furthermore i don't think leaving and distrusting the party isn't the way to go that to me is a defeatist additude, the best way is to elect real progressive dems and vote out the phony ones DLC,Blue Dogs and such and give us 290 in the house and 67 in the senate that to me is the way to go and sending the right message.

I strongly recommend that our country including the congress to send more people to pull down communist parties around the world.
Communist parties confiscate wealth and torture people.
PLEASE PULL DOWN THEM---NO MORE COMMUNIST PARTY ON THE WORLD!
