His 15 Minutes Are Up

Fred Thompson's not exactly a smash at the Box Office:
But since the heady days of late spring, when the Fred Thompson fever seemed to infect the GOP, Thompson's pre-campaign has been more "Gigli" than "Gone With the Wind."
He's posted lackluster fundraising numbers. He's faced repeated questions about his lobbying career, his years in politics, as well as his position on abortion.
An announcement rumored for June was pushed back to July, and now early September. His political speeches have been received coolly, with few grand pronouncements or policy proposals that have lived up to his hype.

There has been such a big furor about Vick's dog fighting. I think the outrage is very appropriate.
Such brutal cruelty to animals should not be condoned.
Wasn't Dr. Frist (now an apparent supporter of Thompson) do cruel experiments on cats. How come the media and anybody else shown just as much outrage with Dr. Frist. Isn't there some sort of a law against such cruelty. How come there is no legal action against Dr. Frist.
One more example of double standards and hypocricy by the radical right. One more failure by the media

So he's now going to jump into the fray because he's become so lukewarm? That makes a lot of sense.

We have had enough "cowboy diplomacy" and actors acting like politicians. This is reality. Welcome.
