Fred on Florida Delegates: "Uh...I dunno"

Posted by Mike Gehrke on September 14, 2007 at 12:59 PM

The RNC recently voted to strip Florida of half its delegates for breaking primary rules. So what will Fred Thompson do if he receives the party nomination? Will he allow all of Florida's delegates to attend?

"Uh, well, you know, it could be. But I don't know. I haven't thought about that. All I know is I'm not going to get into intramural party politics."

"I don't normally get involved with Republicans. They're too high matainence since the Religious Right took over the Party."

"Besides, I don't like working a room when it's so much easier to film a UTube commercical instead. Who wants to operating without a script and go to church regularly?"

"There are Republicans in Florida? I thought they all moved offshore for tax reasons. Didn't Limbaugh set up a radio studio/drug store somewhere down there?"

"Are you sure that I couldn't continue lobbying for pro-choice organizations and military dictators while I campaign? Couldn't I count those fees as campaign contributions? Bribery, you say?"

These and many other comments were recently overhead in a men's public restroom at a municipal airport.

Any names or events presented here are fictious and are not based on real people or any actors seen on a law and order type show. Da Dum.

Fred's just so average, it sort of hurts. It's important to ask the question: "Do we need another average person as President?"

Dare I propose that the job of President calls not for an average Fred, but for an individual of exceptional vision and ability? If another moron adorns the office of the presidency, our nation probably won't survive the experience.

Fred hasn't got what it takes to make a great President, and if ever we've needed a great one, the time is now. This is not the time for President Fred Average; there's never been a time when average was really good enough to make a President.

You can be sure that Republicans will cheat in every dark corner they can!

God Bless the Democrats in those things that are right and defeat them in those things that are not your will. In Jesus name, Amen.

Holy Father this applies to the Republicans, also.

Well, ya know what, half of Republican representation is 100% better than 0% of Democratic representation. As a registered Florida Democrat, from N.E Florida, I'm one of the few retired Marines who votes as a Democrat. However, Dr. Dumbass....errr Dean doesn't seem to think we are worthy of having ANY of our votes counted at the Democratic National Convention, because we, the people of Florida wish to have our primary votes actually matter!
I know! How dare we actually wish to be heard in the primaries; in any meaningful way! The DAMNED AUDACITY of we, Floridians! I mean it's not like we have any electoral votes or anything, right?
I guess not.
The party platform states:
"The 50-State Strategy
The Democratic Party is committed to winning elections at every level in every region of the country, and we're getting started right now with a massive effort to fund organizers on the ground in every state. The ultimate goal? An active, effective group of Democrats organized in every single precinct in the country.

Party Platform
The Democratic Party has a long and proud history of representing and protecting the interests of working Americans and guaranteeing personal liberties for all."

I guess that is just bullshit! Because if we Floridian's don't change the date that WE chose as our primary date, we will not be represented by a single delegatory vote at the convention.
I didn't make this up, but Rod Serling must have. Unfortunately it's true. My own party just told me to screw off!
Okay! I will!
Fix this BS or I'm voting for a Facist...err republicant.

The fact that I even had to write this is appalling and disgusting!
Perhaps like our President, Dr. Dean would have done better to show up and shut up then, rather than hide and mouth off now!
Kiss my big white Floridian Ass HOWIE!

I swear to God almighty, if you don't want my vote, I will take mine, and ALL that will listen, to someone who will. I didn't serve for "this" as a "reward". I only served to protect our right to be heard. HOW DARE YOU!!!~@!!!!!
