Governor Dean On Boehner's Deplorable Comments

Governor Dean responded to Republican leader John Boehner's deplorable comments.
"House Republican Leader John Boehner’s comments yesterday are deplorable and he should apologize immediately. Our brave men and women who have given their lives in service to our country and their families have made the ultimate sacrifice, and to say anything less is insulting to their memories and service. Republicans stubbornly refuse to acknowledge that their Iraq policy is a failure, our troops are mired in a civil war and we’re not making the necessary political progress on the ground. Bohener’s comments show how truly out of touch the Republicans are. The loss of a son or daughter is never a small price to pay, especially for a policy which was initiated by Republicans who misled the nation about why we are there. The war in Iraq must end. We need to bring our troops home."

I AGREE THAT THE MEN AND WOMEN THAT SERVE IN THE ARMED FORCES ARE HERO'S. AS FOR THE IRAN POLICY, WELL, IF THE HARD CORE, DO ANYTHING TO UNDERMINE THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, RIGHT OR WRONG, DEMOCRATS WOULD AT LEAST TRY TO HELP OUR COUNTRY RATHER THAN JUST RULE IT. THEN MAYBE THE WAR WOULD BE OVER SOONER THAN LATER. I AM JUST WONDERING? WHAT FOREIGN POLICY DO THE TERRORIST FOLLOW? WE ALL WANT A STRONG COUNTRY SO HOW COME THE DEMOCRATS STAB EVERY REPUBLICAN IN THE BACK IF THE REPUBLICANS DONT SEE THINGS THE DUMBOCRATS WAY?
"A small price!" This is an outrage. It appears he has no idea of the real price. And if it's "a small price," why didn't they pay for it.
I've yet to hear how much it will cost to FINANCE this Trillion dollar and counting war? Financing this amazing amount of money is the kind of thing that makes 3rd world countries buried by debt. This "small amount" could turn America into a third world country. It's no wonder we're in a morgage crisis, and the dollar is so weak.
It's time to talk about the real cost of the war.
If Boehner doesn't thinks it's a "small cost," maybe he has an idea about how to pay for it?
He doesn't even understand what it's cost the military, much less the National Treasury.
Justin, can't you see it's just more lies? Is it true that a 30,000 troop reduction is back to the level before the surge?
Do you really think the troops are there to continue the surge? NO WAY! Have you seen the old men called up AGAIN to serve? Do you really think our NATIONAL GUARD should be there? Did you know that in Vietnam never called up the Guard?
They've tried everything to keep troops for going back, including extending duties far past what the troops thought they had signed up for. Have you seen the commercial offering a $50,000 bonus for signing up? Face it, the military is far too stressed to continue this Civil War in Iraq.
You, Justin, are the partisan who is putting your party before the good of the troops and future. I really don't know how you can sleep at night. I've got a suggestion... go sign up, and go over there so one troop on an extended 15 month tour can come home.
If you think they have not reached the breaking point, please explain the suicide rate. Don't even try to blame Democrats, Mister. You can blame the neo-cons who lied from the get-go who got us there. I suggest you demand accountability if you really want to support the troops.
Anyone expecting anything better than that this from the house Minority Leader hasn't been paying attention.
Mr. Boner is an ass kissing chicken shit. Didn't we just hear that about someone else?
Boehner thinks of the deaths and disabilities of our troops as collateral damage?
Justin - come on now. If you just want to rant with hatred you need to visit the Republican Party blog or Rush Limbaugh. Why is it that the only policies or actions considered legit by you and your kind are the neo con right wing ideas? It is YOU who back stab and spew hatred for those who won't agree or even question the reasoning behind what you do. Did you put your life on the line in Iraq? Do you know the debilitating loss of a loved one who fought there? This has never been about bringing the Republicans down. It is always been about demanding accountability and truth from the people who conjured up an illegal invasion of a country based on lies, who have been responsible for more lives lost than were lost in 9/11, who still let Bin Laden run free, and who continue to let people die in Iraq because they won't admit they could have been wrong. You need to turn off the hate radio, calm down, and remember that this country is for ALL of us. Not just those who would agree with you. You need to quit blaming others because your leaders were wrong. It wasn't the Democrats who made Bush the worst president in American history. He is responsible and Democrats have a duty to this country to call him out and make him accountable. And at the end of the day, its not about what you think or what I think. Its about looking into the eyes of a mother to tell her her son or daughter is dead because Bush (the man who was a coward and ran away from service) is too stuborn to admit he made a mistake.
