WE THE PEOPLE, the 70% MAJORITY COMMON POPULATION, have been doing all we can to get a democratic candidate to represent the 70% MAJORITY COMMON POPULATION, but the autocratic DLC CANCER HAS SET ITS ROOTS into the political LEFT and is in the process of metastasizing. Having another cancerous DLC NEW FAUX-LIBERAL-REPUBLICAN LITE CANDIDATE to further the DLC metastasization of the political LEFT is meaningless, as DLC NEW FAUX-LIBERAL-REPUBLICAN LITE CANDIDATES will NOT represent the 70% MAJORITY COMMON POPULATION.
Right now the 70% MAJORITY COMMON POPULATIONS BEST Democratic Party CHOICE IS TO "WRITE IN" --
Mike Gravel for President [NOT DLC] and GRAVEL HAS GRIT
Dennis Kucinich for Vice President [NOT DLC] and KUCINICH HAS BACKBONE

NO REPUBLICAN EVER REPRESENTED THE 70% MAJORITY COMMON POPULATION, EVEN A GOOD REPUBLICAN WILL BE FORCED TO FOLLOW THE RIGHT WING EXTREME.
WE THE PEOPLE, the 70% MAJORITY COMMON POPULATION of the political LEFT must do radiation therapy on the DLC NEW FAUX-LIBERAL-REPUBLICAN LITE CANCER to save the political LEFT from destruction. Dialectic Rhetoric Therapy has been shown to be a truly beneficial form of radiation therapy for the removal of the huge RIGHT WING DLC cancer from the political LEFT.
Remember, COMMON POPULATION DEMOCRATS don't use propaganda, unlike the GOP, COMMON POPULATION DEMOCRATS use dialectic rhetoric, as dialectic rhetoric IS "Fair and Balanced", unlike the misleading "fair and balanced " propagandized rhetoric of the FOX Network.
POWER TO THE PEOPLE
For the United States to be able to get out of the REPUBLICAN Bush War in Iraq, the REPUBLICAN LITE NEW FAUX-LIBERAL DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP COUNCIL, DLC, that COOPERATES to keep the United States in the war, must be unmasked for the REPUBLICAN RIGHT WING EXTREME ORGANIZATION that it is:

This IS the DLC's website. Be sure and open this site because Hilary Clinton and Bill Clinton are front and center with their REPUBLICAN LITE NEW FAUX-LIBERAL PROPAGANDA that is against the 70% MAJORITY COMMON POPULATION.
The following is an alphabetical list of some members of the DLC, if you are unsure as to whether your Senator, Representative, Governor or Mayor, is of the DLC, then use their names and SEARCH this site to find out if they are members of the DLC. There are only a few democratic members in Congress who haven't been led to the autocratic RIGHT against the best interest of the 70% MAJORITY COMMON POPULATION:

The BUSH-DLC RIGHT WING EXTREME Regime Strategy hasn't worked from the get go. It is time for Congress to quit allowing the BUSH administration to continue whipping a dead horse and bring our troops home.
Any good Christian knows that the LORD provides and there is no reason any good Christian should be killing and stealing resources to provide for ones self, as the RIGHT WING EXTREME BUSH administration is doing in Iraq, Afghanistan and now Iran is on their war mongering "Project For The New American Century" agenda http://www.newamericancentury.org/.
Today on Star Jones on Court Tv, a Republican woman said "Why have peace, when we can have power?" The Republican candidates in their last debate refuse to acknowledge that 9/11 took place almost 1 year in the Bush administration, that Secretary Rice admitted not to be concerned with terrorism, and that Pres. Regan's non-military action when Marines were bombed in Lebanon emboldened the enemy. Also, the Republican dominated House and Senate gave authority to the President to invade Iraq. The Democrats were in a minority in any scenario at that time.
Not sure I believe anyone right now. Dems. are not keeping their word either.
Spartacus:
There were Democrats (DLC-democrats) in the House and Senate and they DID NOT STAND AGAINST THE WAR. DEMOCRATS could have got into a block and taken a strong position in opposition to the war, but DLC DEMOCRATS did not. Hilary Clinton IS one of the war mongering DLC that did not oppose the war; and she DID NOT OPPOSE the $59 TRILLION NATIONAL DEBT for hidden taxes either that the REPUBLICANS have obligated ever man, woman and child in the United States to pay back together with interest which probably won't get paid until Jesus comes. You can rest assured that WE THE PEOPLE, every man, woman and child in the United States WILL BE PAYING INTEREST on that debt until Jesus comes; and, with the DLC cooperating with REPUBLICAN PERPETUAL WAR, unless WE THE PEOPLE get rid of the DLC, we will undoubtedly be in REPUBLICAN PERPETUAL WAR when Jesus comes as well.

Dems Hold All the Cards on Iraq, So Why Are They Folding?
by Arianna Huffington
Remember earlier this summer when Harry Reid and the Democrats vowed they were “going to hold the president’s feet to the fire” on Iraq? Well, now it appears they’ve decided to play footsie with the White House instead and take what one Democratic strategist calls “a more nuanced approach” that includes backing off demands to set a firm withdrawal date.
In anticipation of next weeks’ inevitably sunny side up — and statistically cherry-picked — report from Gen. Petraeus, the White House has cranked up its spin machine, and the Democrats are falling into their default duck-and-cover mode.
So we get Bush hopping off a plane in Australia after his eight-hour photo-op layover in Iraq and telling the Deputy Prime Minister: “We’re kicking ass” — while Democratic leaders let it be known they are hoping “to manage expectations” by lowering their sights on Iraq.
Bush is certainly not kicking ass in Iraq but next week he may be kicking ass in Washington.
Just last week, Reid was promising “I will not let these Republicans hide. When the Senate returns to Washington, I will force them to take vote, after vote, after vote on bringing an end to the war in Iraq.”
Now the air on Capitol Hill is full of talk of “bipartisan compromise” and even Ken Salazar’s insipid proposal, which Reid himself had previously rejected as a “toothless tiger,” is getting renewed interest.
“I can’t believe how Democrats are playing this game,” a Republican strategist told me the other night. “They hold all the cards — and they are folding.”
This spineless approach is the last thing Democrats need. Do they have no memory of 2002 and 2004, when caution and timidity led to defeat? If 2008 doesn’t turn out to be a landslide for Democrats, it will be because of the seeds of caution being planted now.
Perhaps the weight of Katie Couric’s take on Iraq — “real progress has been made there in terms of security and stability” — was too much to bear. In the same way that once Cronkite turned against Vietnam Johnson knew the war was lost, it appears the Democrats believe that once Couric embraced the surge, it could no longer be resisted.
So next week, the collective wisdom of 16 intelligence agencies and the Government Accounting Office may be eclipsed by the cherry-picked stats of Petraeus and the administration. As the Washington Post reports, apparently certain kinds of violence in Iraq just don’t count in the eyes of the administration. Literally — they aren’t being counted. Shot in the head from the front? Doesn’t count. Shiite on Shiite bloodshed? Doesn’t count (this despite escalating warfare between rival Shi’a groups in Basra). Sunni on Sunni violence? Doesn’t count. As those radicals in the Iraq Study Group put it in their report: “Good policy is difficult to make when information is systematically collected in a way that minimizes its discrepancy with policy goals.”
And good political strategy is difficult to make when you are constantly wondering how your decisions will look in a future attack ad. “This administration’s capabilities of having Rose Garden press conferences and the kind of punitive rhetoric they’re using is concerning to Members,” explained Rep. Ellen Tauscher. “I don’t think we have a vehicle [for withdrawal] that will get 60 votes in the Senate. In the absence of that, we’re naked.”
Well, better naked than castrated.
The Democrats’ thinking on this is unfathomable — it makes no sense logically, morally or politically. They have the majority of the American people wanting to bring this war to an end; a constant stream of tragic news from Iraq; and a president committed to “stay the course” despite all evidence that the course we are on is taking us over the cliff.
It’s time for Democrats to stop sounding the retreat on ending the war and actually pay attention to John McCain, who said that if they “are serious that we ought to stop the war” they should “bring up a bill to cut off the funding and end it.”
McCain is right. Exercising their Constitutional power of the purse is exactly what Democrats need to do if they are serious about ending the war. And if they are serious about winning in 2008.
Tell Congress: Bring them home
Congress has the power to start bringing our troops home immediately. It is critical they use it this September. A compiled petition with your individual comment will be presented to your Senators and Representative when you click on the link below:

Mike GRAVEL is NOT a DLC Democrat -- ALL toady, vichy DLC NEW Liberal/REPUBLICAN LITE Democrats MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY and the CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES.
I read this quote today on the internet from one of the DNC's lackluster list of Presidential candidates concerning the war in Iraq. "This president has no plan — how to win and how to leave," Biden said. Unfortunately the DNC has no plan nor a spine or enough brass in their balls to do anything. After the last election, I thought that finally, finally we had an election where a clear mandate from voters would enable the DNC to grow a pair and do something to stop the war and the even bigger threat to this country that the President poses. We have a President who doesn' believe in global warming despite scientific evidence that it is happening, we have a President who has said our constitutional rights take a back seat to the war on terror, we have a President who threw out the Geneva Convention and said terrorists don't count, we have a President who let thousands die and suffer in New Orleans from lack of attention yet if an ally of ours has a major catastrophy, we can have supplies and boots on the ground 24 hours later half a world away, we have a President who's main concern is the financial well being of his corporate buddies yet turns a blind eye to the suffering of our own citizens....you want me to keep going because this President has given us so much to worry about and so little to be thankful for. Now Mr. Putin who has been quiet in his own little world is reviving the cold war because our President chooses to ignore common sense and see if he can piss off and turn the whole world against us. Next we will have the old Bear bombers flying overhead with nukes inside ready for the big one, which by the way the President would like to facilitate because he feels he is anointed by God to bring about judgement day. All of which brings me back to my general point.....we need a regime change and the DNC has been so spineless that you will not do well in the next elections. You have lost the confidence of the majority of Americans who though maybe you could or would have the intestinal fortitude to actually do something. With the dismal cast of business as usual candidates that you are sporting, nothing will change and you will be hard pressed to win the next presidential election! You can do more then you think but you have to grow some courage. The President has snubbed you with his tactics and the DNC has folded rather then confronted him for change...Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi talked a tough game but in the end, they just cowered in the corner like the DNC seems to do whenever the President gets on his high horse. It is now even considered unpatriotic to challenge the President and his policies.....why do I hear the framers of the Constitution rolling over in their graves...why don't I hear the DNC doing something about it? Is there a political party out there that will have the courage to stand up for the majority of the American public? We need help, we need hope....we need a plan!
The Democrats keep lying by crying about not having 60 votes! The Cowards don't have the guts to do what's morally right and END THE WAR TODAY!
THE DEMOCRATS NEVER HAVE TO BRING UP EXTRA SPENDING BEFORE CONGRESS!!! And thus end the war!
AS OF TODAY 3,762 members of the U.S. military have died! So that a theocratic state can be created in Iraq!
If we leave, Iraq's will get rid of all outsides!
If Reed of Pelosi bring up additional spending they should be throw out of OFFICE!
Regarding the initial prompt re what can we believe anymore...
I believe that the lies of the Bush Administration, the Pentagon, and even the State Department have compromised our national security, and world security, more than any other factor. As if FOX "news" was not bad enough in its dissemination of White House talking points, skewed information designed to put forth untruths to the American people, and to the world, we now have to contend with more Murdoch trash -- the loss of credibility of information that will come from the Wall Street Journal.
Today, Reuters quoted information from the Wall Street Journal, which apparently is now becoming the vehicle through which the Bush Administration and the Pentagon will surely funnel its misinformation, giving lies a false air of credibility. The people in the Bush Administration have lost all credibility themselves, so no doubt they will abuse a renowned newspaper to which many have turned for trustsworthy information -- a newspaper that is being turned over to Murdoch.
According to Reuters, the Wall Street Journal is quoting military officials that Iran is responsible for a major flow of arms and ammunition into Iraq to destabilize Iraq. A military station is being set up on the Iraq-Iran border to scrutinize, with every piece of modern technology, any material that comes through to Iraq. What is so dangerous to us, and to our soldiers over there, is that we cannot tell what is true and what are lies. We cannot tell if this is just another attempt to provoke an incident with Iran or if Iran is really posing the biggest threat in the area. Past evidence that has been presented by the White House as proof has been debunked by our own military.
Our government keeps telling Iraq's government to get its act together and find a political solution. It would be really good if they did. But, what on earth is our country doing to find a political solution, and why are we actively generating ill will with Iran and Syria when we should be striving to come to a mutual understanding with all countries in this region to bring about some stability? No doubt this will take a monumental effort, but our actions have been to estrange and isolate when communication is absolutely necessary. We seem to be making a tinder-dry situation more incindiary, and this is totally incomprehensible.
Apparently, it is classified who exactly is our "enemy" in Iraq, and what percentage are from which sects, who is fighting who, and where arms are really coming from. One military official said in a news conference that he did not know if the missing US arms were going into enemy stockpiles, and he thought it would be a good idea to check this out. Duh! And what is with our military aircraft that flew from one of the Dakotas to Louisiana the other day, armed with nuclear weapons (though the Air Force says there was no danger). Will we hear any more about this?
I fervently hope that our joint Congress and judiciary will never, never trust this Administration, or any of its appointees again. They are out of control and are endangering the United States and another generation of young men and women who will be called to fight their senseless wars.
We are in the midst of a national tragedy.
Blah Blah Blah. Let's see some action instead of faux outrage just before the big fold. By this time next week, if Dems in Congress are still talking compromise, I'm going to jump out a window.
Kathleen:
I %100 agree with you on the national tragedy comment.
For a nation that seems to have it all together, we sure doing a good job with foreign relations, as well as relations with our own country. I mean, Iran threating to blow us off the planet, the random demands from North Korea, the misreading of China's war games with Russia (which is apparantly nothing new) and propoganda against China due to the whole lead paint deal, I can see how much "progress" we're making. A whole ton of progress.
(Points if you can just feel the sarcasm)
It won't be long before the entire middle-eastern population hates us, because as much as we'd like to NOT admit it, the middle-east is the perfect and stereotypical breeding ground for, of all things, terrorists. What do most terrorists have an agenda against? America. Why? More than likely the same reason a teenager hacks a Myspace account. For the purpose of doing it, or in other words "for the lulz."
Lastly, where are our national defenses? Well, we may as well just consider Iraq our home, because that's where our defenses are. The Department of Homeland Security (or the D'ohs! as I like to call 'em) isn't really doing anything but invading our privacy.
What I forsee is an age where profiling is the only way. With call-tracking and all this nonsense that just isn't going away soon, I forsee a culture where everything is tracked, and people are judged on what they buy. Eventually everybody is jailed for making "suspicious moves" because only the paranoid would ever make it into security.
