Rudy: 9/11 Changed My Position On Gun Control

Here's the quote:
I also think that there have been subsequent intervening events -- September 11 -- which cast somewhat of a different light on the Second Amendment and Second Amendment rights. It doesn't change the fundamental rights, but maybe it highlights the necessity for them more.
You can watch it for yourself right here.

can rudy complete one sentence without uttering the phrase "9/11" how do 4 planes supposedly highjacked, change the need for gun control? would the 2nd amendment allow us to carry the guns on a plane to combat the terrorists? if you were allowed to carry a gun, wouldn't terrorist also have them on the plane? shoot outs at 40,000 ft are probably not the way to go. Rudy also said he decreased violent crime in NY, all while NY was one of the toughest cities to own a hand gun. isn't that totally contradictory? if he allowed hand guns in NY maybe the crime would have gone to zero???? so is Rudy responsible then for the murders that did take place?? maybe he should have made this statement while riding on a firetruck, would have made more sense.
Oh Rudy ... how very lame of you! 9/11 has nothing to do with your views on gin control. Running for Prez has everything to do with it.

It is Red Necks that think they have to have a need for a gun to protect themselves.
It is little old widow ladies that don't need a gun!
You can have gun CONTROL without guns being BANNED.
I'm a Democrat who believes the Second Amendment isn't just filler. You have to understand that people really BELIEVE that gun control means that they will take away your rifle for hunting, your shotgun for skeet shooting and duck hunting, and your pistol that you keep just in case.
You can make the case that less guns = less deaths, but the problem is that the US already has too many guns in circulation among the populace to make gun bans effective or even worth doing.
The trick is, make penalties for crimes committed with guns extremely severe so that criminals in a lot of circumstances will not use them. (This is not to say that criminals will not use guns, since most criminals don't expect to get caught they don't plan for the eventuality.)
I think most reasonable people, even (and sometimes especially) the ones that own guns, believe that a reasonable amount of control is good.
