What Does Fred Thompson Believe About Anything?

Taking his cue from Mitt Romney, lobbyist Fred Thompson starts changing his position on Global Warming.
From the NH Union Leader editorial page editor, Andrew Kline.
He told the global warming guys that climate change was real and that the United States needed to address it. He mentioned working with other nations to find solutions, but he had no specific agenda. (Afterwards, the activists said they were not satisfied with his answer.)
It's no surprise Fred doesn't want to talk about specifics, he's probably just learning about his new found position on global warming.
At the end of July (a mere month and a half ago) the Washington Post pointed out that Fred Thompson was mocking climate scientists for their studies on global warming.
Scientists who insist that global warming is ruining nature, he said, are like those true believers four centuries ago who insisted that the Earth is flat. "Ask Galileo," he said.
Mitt Romney would be impressed.

Hmm...does he know who "Galileo" is?
He was that guy who fought against religious interests for science. You know, when the Catholic Church decreed the Earth was flat, he used observations to prove that it was round.
Now a lot of entrenched, nonscientific entities have put a LOT of money into convincing you that climate change is a myth. I'm not sure anybody really "belives" that, but so many people are so beholden to oil/fossil fuel interests that it would cost them a lot of money to acknowledge the problem.
So, the RCC (established non-scientific entity) claims Galileo (scientist) is wrong about the shape of the earth (science).
Now, the oil companies (established non-scientific entities) claim that the scientists (scientists) are wrong about climate change (science).
Who sounds more like Galileo, Fred Thompson or a scientist?
Those morons who believe the earth is 6000 years old would be impressed with Fred Thompson's scientific knowledge, the rest of us might take it with a grain of salt. Or maybe a pillar.
As Nixon once stated Thompson is dumb, to stupid to think for himself. He is a Watergate puppet following the lead of others while doing nothing himself.
Fred thompson is nothing more than a joke. Watch in the coming months. Watch for his first debate against REAL politicians. People that understand foreign policy, etc.
Haven't we all noticed that the repuke party only wants a puppet on screen while the real agenda is hidden in back rooms. What better one than another actor that can at least memorize his lines better than bushnit!!!
Freddy cheeseball is a second rate actor and corporate bag man. If you make the price right, Freddy will say anything you want.
About Fred....he agrees that we should not pre-judge Bin Ladin. I know someone else who said that and got blasted out of the water....his initials were HD. He said let the judge and jury decide. He's chairman of something now, I think.
Poor Fred, he should have known better.
And NOW to the Democrats in congress and what do they stand for? Are they going to be Fast Trackin' on the trade deal?
Looks like it.
I personally think that Fred Thompson's nomination as the Republican candidate is the the best thing that can happen to the Democratic Party. In all reality the only candidate from the Republican side that even has a shot at Presidency is the former NYC mayor Gulianni. He is probably the only Republican candidate that would possibly carry New York and New Jersey, thereby ensuring many of so needed electoral votes. As we all know the South will vote for any Republican candidate over a Democrat, no matter who represents the Democratic Party. So, are we really doing any good by talking down the candidate with the least possible chance of winning? Even Mitt Romney will probably carry more northern states than Fred Thompson would.
What we prabably should really be concerned with is the fact that while our focus has been shifted to Fred, strong candidates like Gulianni are putting their best fundraising gurus such as Sam Karaman and David Perone in stratagic states where funds would typically be misappropriated to weaker candidates. But would a person of jewish russian descent like Sam Karaman be able to tab into the deep pockets of southern elite as easily as he has in the past for Gulianni and Bloomberg? Or are there enough Italians for Perone to pull off his mission? While that remains to be seen, I do know that Gulianni still remains the only Republican candidate capable of carrying the Northeast and therefore is the only threat to our civilized way of life!
