Bush Vetoes Health and Education Bill

Earlier I wrote about how your family owes $16,500.00 for the war in Iraq through 2008. Amazing, then, that President Bush decided that he will veto a health and education bill because he claims to be concerned about spending.
Speaker Pelosi pointed out that this was a "bipartisan and fiscally responsible bill" that provides "education for our children, assistance in paying skyrocketing energy costs, veterans' health care, and other urgent health research on cancer and other serious medical problems."
The Republican strategy is based on one premise: make sure as little gets accomplished as possible -- then try to blame the Democrats for the Republicans' obstructionism. It wasn't too long ago that Bush was complaining about Congress not getting enough done, in his opinion. Yet at every opportunity, from Iraq to education to children's health, he prevents as much as possible from getting done for the American people. And his Republicans in Congress aren't doing much better, attempting to block as much legislation from getting a vote as they can.
The strategy is obvious, but as recent election results showed, they're failing to fool the American people.

No worries last I heard the bill was sent to the president with just short of the override numbers needed.Getting those votes with the number of ranking members already on board from both parties should be fairly easy.If you want to fight Bush this is the way you do it.Stall his war funding and turn him into a lame duck a few months early
I`m really glad to see Nancy Pelosi tell the president that no other money will be appropriated this year if w vetoes the spending bill for the war in Iraq. Finally, the real battle has begun. It`s way past time to play hardball and I`m thankful it is finally happening.I know w has the public microphone, but it really doesn`t help when just his trolls believe him anymore.Communicate your clear reasoning Speaker and let the chips fall where they may.Kudos Speaker!
Michael,
One must understand the mindset of the one world; one government rational. In order to accomplish this goal they must ensure that their opposition is unhealthy, this takes the fight out of the opposition, and uneducated, this allows for the masses to be lead around like sheep, or it eliminates the opposition.
Remember Hitler's famous words, "A rulers job is easy when men do not think." Well, unhealthy and uneducated lead to not thinking; think about it!!
If he's not for health and education...nor children's medical coverage, what exactly is Bush's domestic policy?
