Kicking Ass: The Democratic Party's Blog

FNC= Freddie News Channel

On Fox News this weekend, Fred Thompson claimed Fox News was biased -- against him. Huffington Post ran the numbers and here's what they found:

In October, the first full month after officially launching his presidential bid, Thompson had more than an hour of on-air television face time, something matched by only four other presidential candidates. Almost 95 percent of that was spent on the Fox News Channel, National Journal reported. By comparison, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney appeared on-air for 48 minutes during October, and only 43 percent on Fox News. Even former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani - who some have claimed receives, how to put this, preferential treatment by the Fox higher-ups - got less play from the network than Thompson. The former mayor was personally on Fox News for 53 minutes in October, roughly 90 percent of all his airtime.

I think Fred's still bitter from this:

I would strongly advise the DNC to stop wasting their time on the Presidential race and start working more heavily to help the party advance at the state and local level. If the DNC had invested time and money in the Louisiana legislative elections last week, Democrats would not have lost seven seats. I would also focus on holding the chambers that we control by a thread(TN House, MI House, PA House, IA House, and WI Senate), as well as trying to pick up the OH House, WI House, NY Senate, NV Senate, and TX House.

I don't know what happened if what you say is true. Our Democrats are working harder than ever this election season. Dean is thinking like a pro to bring us every advantage possible. I have noticed the Demorcrats are not writing on the Blog as much as they did in 06 when we won a majority in the house and the senate. Maybe they have gone to Party Builder or Move On. How many did we have working in Louisiana? We can not stop for a moment or the Republicans will overtake us. The Republicans are working like mad to hold on to what little they have.

So lets start right now to give for tv ads and work door to door to assure a success on the General Election as well as any local elections for Governors and Mayors, etc.

Of course he would think it is biased, Faux News Channel is in Rudy's pocket since he helped Rupert Murdock get it off the ground. I stopped watching it since they keep defending the war criminal in the White House.
