Kicking Ass: The Democratic Party's Blog

Rudy Won't Rule Out Kerik Pardon

Posted by Michael Link on November 9, 2007 at 10:24 AM

ABC News is reporting that Bernard Kerik will be indicted, causing more headaches for the Giuliani campaign that continues to stand by him. And if that's not enough, today the NY Daily News reports that Giuliani won't rule out pardoning Kerik if he was convicted and Giuliani was president.

People are tired of Bush-style cronyism that led to Giuliani recommending Kerik for the top Department of Homeland Security post, and for the same reason, this won't play well either.

So what is this whole indictment about? For details, see TPM Muckraker's take on this.

And as a side-note, Giuliani said he'd pardon Scooter Libby. What a platform to run on...

I've been looking for three days for some analysis of Tuesday's elections. Doesn't the DNC have something to say about them? Hello? Anybody out there?

And in addition to that, I wrote something about the elections a couple days ago on this blog.

Thanks, Corinne.

The Giuliani Crime Family hasn't even been nominated by the GOP faithful (although it has been annoited by the Pope of the 700 Club)...and The Godfather is already granting favors and pardons?

I wonder if Bush will pardon Kerik? It would be a fitting end to his distinguished reign as King of the United States and Emperor of Iraq.

It's all well and good for you (collectively) to whine and moan, to point fingers and criticize; but: you all just aren't doing anything about it. You're lying down like a bunch of passive pu - - well, puppies, for the purposes of this place. You (and I've been a registered Democrat all my life) are going to let this opportunity and this election slip away, again, and you're going to get bushwhacked again (albeit by someone who has a few more grey cells, if not principles, than that creep), and you'll continue taking it just like the woman did in "Last Tango in Paris" when Brando went for the butter.

Stop bitching! Start doing something!
