McCain Proves Himself Right

"The issue of economics is not something I've understood as well as I should."
- John McCain, NYT 01/14/08

"I still believe our fundamental underpinnings of our economy are strong."
- John McCain, ThinkProgress 01/23/08

He had it right the first time.

This failure to recognize the reality of the economic situation reminds me a lot of his failure to recognize the problems that we're facing over in Iraq. I'm sure the "next six months" will be vital to determining the future of the economy...

The issue of economics is not something McCain or Bush understand very well.In the next year we are going to have to realize that global warming and energy conservation will affect our lifestyle so deeply that we won't be able to read one morning newspaper that hasn't got an article about the economic impact of these two science issues on our
purchase of a car, a house, an investment portfolio. The outrageous ignorance revealed in Bush's track record on these issues is boldly published in Conversations with Gore Bear and Bush Bear Calendar 2008 on the science web site www.starchildscience.org. No one will misunderstand why we are in the trouble we are in after reading 13 months of conversations between Gore Bear and Bush Bear.

Please understand and emphasize to the United States community that when a person finishes last in his class at Annapolis even when his father is already an Admiral that is a stupid person. John McCain is that person! Also explain to the unwashed that a person seldom gets any more intelligent as they get older. They may get braver and they may get more experienced, but their capability to handle things that require intelligence doesn't improve with age. Why Democrats don't emphasize that in response to his self anointment as a knowledgeable hawk is just beyond me?
