Kicking Ass: The Democratic Party's Blog

Rudy's Bad Day

Earlier today it was reported that Giuliani staffers were "volunteering" not to get paid because the campaign needed to save its money for television ads in the big states.

And because the amount of money saved here is small ("about $50,000 per month," according to Marc Ambinder), that suggests they're in an especially tough spot essentially looking for spare pennies that might have fallen between the couch cushions.

So what's the worst thing that can happen when you're in a spot like this? Well, probably having your finance chair leave the campaign.

But it's just all about the money. What about public support, specifically back home in New York? According to the Daily News, NY state Conservative Party Chairman Mike Long says his party is "likely to give an early nod to Fred Thompson if he manages to 'break through' in South Carolina."

It's okay, though -- he'll be the first to tell you this was his strategy all along.

Gee Giuliani, thought you told us all you had to say was 9-11, 9-11, 9-11 and 9-11!

Is something wrong with that strategy when you are trying to get elected president of USA?

Nary Matalin's publisher is the group that has agreed to publish Karl Rove's book. Interesting.

Publisher run by Mary Matalin to publish Karl Rove's memoirs.

Any other publisher would insist on their authors telling the truth.

I think Giuliani is just following the lead of Fred Thompson. Why work so hard...especially when you can spend most of January in Florida with your former mistress on the beach?

These two lazy GOP bums watched Bush get crowned King by the Supreme Court and figure that is their divine right, too?

I would like to see Julie Annie as the Republicans choice. You'll have all the Bible thumpers in the south and the gun crazies in the west writing in Ron Paul's name. We could then beat them with bin Laden on the ticket.

Don't you think Sandy is right?

Don't you think on the Democrats side, Obama is exciting people right now but Hillary is the one who has studies other Presidents and how they got things done?

Don't you think Hillary has learned what not to do and what to do and how to get it done?

Anyway that is my take on the Candidates.
