McCain's ethics woes throwback to Keating scandal:

As William K. Black watches John McCain move toward the Republican presidential nomination, he thinks of a day 21 years ago that he considers one of the most troubling of his life.

Black, a senior federal savings and loan regulator at the time, attended a meeting at which he felt McCain and four other senators pressured federal regulators to back off from investigating the troubled Lincoln Savings and Loan.

More of the same from John McCain. Rob Portman was moved out of the White House by Mr. Nussle in July.

Where will they end up?? Keeps the President giddy about all of this.

McCain was doing soo much better, when he stuck to what he believed instead of changing because he wanted the nod from the RNC. When he stood on the Senate floor and voted against Bushes tax cuts, I thought, he is the only republican I like. Now he has changed his tune, can't change his votes, and nobody trusts him. When I saw him in 2006 on a plane with bush sucking up to him I said, "He's sold his sole to the devil"
