It was interesting hearing the press talk about the Keatting Five today.

Wasn't that the point of the NYT article? McCain has a history of doing favors for those he likes and doesn't care if it's ethical or legal.

For all his talk of campaign finance reform, he's not that much of a straight arrow when it comes to politically helping his friends.

It's the K Street story all over again. He's a serial offender.

Funny how the K Street corruption issue seemed to fall through the cracks with all the other scandalous behavior coming out of Washington. Thank you, Mr. Foley and Senator Craig.

The Republicans see nothing wrong with doing anything they want as long as nobody calls them on it. Then it's the liberal press being unfair.

Lobbyists have way too much influence in the Capitol. It's time that our federal government paid more attention to American workers than the special interests of large campaign donners.

And the Republicans know it, but they just can't get over their obsession...just like McCain.

McCain is a crook. Remember he was reprimanded by the Senate for his role in the S&L scandals.

Howard Dean stomped all over John McCain today in an interview with the National Journal.

This part is just how I feel. He was asked about the affair.

He has tons of lobbyists on his staff. This is a guy who is very close to the lobbyist community, a guy who has been documented again and again by taking contributions and then doing favors for it. This is not a guy who is a reformer. This is a guy who has been in Washington for 25 years and wants to give us four more years of the same, and I don't think we need that."

So, he doesn't sound any different from any other candidate. He's seasoned and credible. Obama's record isn't anything to brag about. His slum lord friend has yet to go on trial--scheduled to start 2/25 I think. Who in Washington is squeaky clean? At least he isn't a Pied Piper using mass psychology, teenagers, and tons of money (where is it coming from?) and gender bias (indicated in the large male vote he gets) to literally buy the presidency. We will not see another female candidate as qualified, intelligent, and capable as Hillary for perhaps decades. You may not like her; she is your best bet. Pelosi will never be qualified. AS for your Kansas governor, the one who responded to the SOTU address, she appears to be brain botoxed. Her face surely is. Why is this party so bent on getting a Black in the Whitehouse? Do you think that rednecks will sit back for that? Obama is so egotistic that he has set aside the safety of his family to be pres. He doesn't want to work for it, to actually earn it, he wants to steal it. What will this party do one of the many rednecks or neoNazis have their say in a violent way? It's not about his personal life.

It's about his lobbyist life. The man gets in bed with special interests and instead of feeling guilty about it, he says its OK because these are his friends.

McCain is worse than Bush. Bush smirks and calls them His Base. McCain geehaws that they are "my dear friends."

McCain is the heart of why K Street came into power. And it's why he must be taken down and them with him.

What has been business as usual in Washington must become a thing of the past. We need real change and it won't happen unless all the Republicans are swept out of office and K Street becomes a part of history.

Well, america1st, McCain decided the best defense would be a Strong Offense. BLAME THE NYT!

Let's get the little lady in question under oath and ask a few questions and settle this once and for all!
