We have not the money, the manpower, the will, nor the economy to sustain another 5 years much less 95 years. This nation is tired, in debt over its head, and its infrastructure is crumbling, while we are turning our backs on those who have gone to this "war" and returned damaged both mentally and physically, and left to joint the ranks of the homeless.
We have gone from a first world nation, who was respected, to an incipient third world debtor-nation that is sneered at by the world community, and who is deeply in debt to our enemies.
Our Constitution which has served us well for over 200 years is in tatters, our flag disrespected even by former allies, we are being ruled by an oligarchy of the rich and greedy fronted by a grandiose, sneering, wannabe despot whom, I highly doubt would be able to pass the very tests that his "Every Child Left Behind Act" demands of our children, while he has despoiled the economy and the infrastructure of this nation for the benefit of his corrupt cronies, and the bought-off corporate media lies to us!

Let's now focus on turning this country around and rebuilding it, restoring its shaky foundations, both governmental and infrastructural.
Let's give the mentally and physically injured from this debacle of lies the support and the aid they need and have richly earned to repair their lives.
Let us put the fair burden of paying for this fiasco back on the backs of the rich and greedy who have prospered from the destruction of both our country and of Iraq.
Let us help the poor, the disabled, the elderly as we should have been, and as has been stated in the Preamble of our battered Constitution.

With the war in Iraq nearing its five-year anniversary, Portland's internationally known peace movement has changed tactics in the hopes of broadening support, creating year-round opposition to U.S. foreign policy and perhaps making the city a sanctuary for AWOL soldiers.

Organizers are also working through internal debates about the breadth of the movement's mission and the role that younger, more radical groups will play in this weekend's rally to protest the war.
Saturday's events, which run from morning to night and include a 2:30 p.m. march through downtown, are only a small part of the local movement's ambitious plans to reinvent itself.

"I think people are recognizing that we're not going to have a big march and the war will end," said Kelly Campbell, of the American Friends Service Committee and one of the event's organizers.

The shift in strategy started last year with the formation of the PDX Peace coalition, an umbrella group created during planning for the 2007 rally.

One of the coalition's priorities is money. Its leaders want to pressure Oregon's congressional delegation to stop funding for the war and educate people about how much it costs. Another calls for supporting soldiers, their families and their resistance to the war.

As thousands of protesters marched through downtown Portland in a torrential downpour Saturday, one man held a sign that seemed to capture the overriding sentiment of the crowd: "I can't believe we're still protesting this war."

After five years of war in Iraq, Portlanders did what they do best: They took it to the street, chanting to end the war in Iraq and bring the troops home.

Although there was no official tally of the number of marchers, protesters packed 31/2 city blocks and included senior citizens, war veterans and many families with children.

"We worked really hard to make this a family-friendly event," said Rachel Larson, executive director of Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility, which helped organize the event. "In the peace movement, so often nothing happens beyond the rally. We wanted families to take the spirit of the day home with them and deliver the message that we can be a peaceful nation and we can have a better life."

Among Saturday's more poignant images was a tiny 4-year-old boy who held a sign that said, "This war's older than me." Another small boy rode in a Radio Flyer wagon decorated with a sign that said, "War leaves every child behind." A gaggle of preteen girls wore yellow signs on their backs: "Imagine . . . It could be different."

John Arnoldy, 55, showed up for the march and rally with his common-law wife, Noreen, and dog, Rex, who howled loudly through several city blocks.

"He's crying for peace," explained Arnoldy, who carried a sign that read, "WWJD?" meaning, "What would John (Lennon) do?"

Arnoldy said he made the sign (covered in plastic to protect it from the rain) five years ago and has carried it at rallies ever since.

"I'm going to keep it until the war is over," he said. "I pray to God that doesn't mean five more years."

Organizers said nearly 100 local organizations and businesses joined to sponsor the march, which began at 2:30 p.m. in the South Park Blocks. The route began at Southwest Park and Madison streets and wound through downtown, much of it on Broadway, and back to the Portland Art Museum.

How come in all the Iraqi budgets is Iraqi Oil money put in as part of the solution? Instead the put the amount needed and hide oil receipts as there were no there. To make matters worse anywhere from 20 to 55 % of the budgeted money, cannot be accounted for.

Today, on the fifth anniversary of the start of the Iraq war, it's tempting to render all kinds of judgment on critical questions: Is America safer today because of the war? Are we winning? Was the decision to go to war flawed or purposely misleading? What went wrong with the occupation? What effect has the war had on America's allies and enemies? When will the war end? These are natural questions to ask. But answering them would be premature.

That's because conclusively evaluating the war requires much information that is not presently available. Published sources offer conflicting accounts of the Bush administration's prewar deliberations, leaving unclear what exactly top administration officials knew and believed about Iraqi WMD and Iraq's potential for democratization. Thus, we must await the release of classified government documents, several decades from now, to judge the decision on the basis of what was known at the time, which is one way that future historians will assess it.

Part I

Matthew 24:4-8 "See to it that no one 'MISLEADS' you. For many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ, and will mislead many. And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see 'THAT YOU ARE NOT FRIGHTENED, for those things 'MUST' take place, but that is 'not yet the end'. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But 'ALL THESE THINGS' are 'MERELY THE BEGINNING' of birth pangs.

Wars and rumors of wars:
Since the beginning of the church age there have been wars and rumors of wars. These words and this warning have been the same throughout the church age and wars and rumors of war shall continue.
In the 1900's we saw World Wars 1+2, the dropping of atomics bombs on Japan, and other major wars. These things will continue and you 'could' even see another use of nuclear bombs of some sort, especially by terrorist. Even so, we have seen wars and rumors of wars from the beginning. They have become more frequent and happened with more destructive weapons and with greater loss of life. Even so the Lords words remain "see that you are not mislead, see that you are not frightened, and know that 'these things' are merely 'THE BEGINNING' of birth pangs.

Famines and earthquakes:
Since the beginning there have been 'famines and earthquakes', yet we are seeing an increase of both. Again His words would be the same, "see that you are not mislead, see that you are not frightened, and know that 'these things' are merely 'THE BEGINNING' of birth pangs.

Saying 'I am the Christ'
I think that the church is not seeing the real meaning of what is being said here. You do see 'some', yet it is 'VERY FEW', who come saying 'they' are the Christ. Throughout the church age it has happened, yet it is rare and very few follow such people.
I think the Lord is saying something even more clear and plain, yet we have not been seeing it. For we have seen many 'COME IN HIS NAME' and say that 'HE IS' the Christ, yet they are misleading MANY!!! How is this? Its through cults 'and or' "DEAD RELIGION" which leads people 'to religion' and not to a 'born again' relationship with this living God! I'm talking about groups such as the Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons and the endless other cults and religions which, come in "His name" (Jesus), say that 'HE IS THE CHRIST', yet they are misleading many astray.
I'm also talking about the endless 'DEAD', 'so called churches', which are nothing more than, dead mens bones. Man made 'RELIGION' which misleads many into thinking that joining a denomination, or group, or church (as in a building or group) is enough to get them to heaven through works. The works which they most often point too is how much, and how often, you give. This is what we have seen throughout the church age that is increasing in these last days. We see many coming in 'HIS NAME' and 'DECLARING THAT HE IS THE CHRIST' yet they are 'MISLEADING MANY'. They do not know Him nor the power of His resurrection! They only lead people to religion, the law, and the works of man.

The next event that is more than a mere birth pang:
The next 'main event', that these birth pangs will give birth too, that will bring us into the tribulation, will be an asteroid hitting in the Atlantic Ocean. This, I believe, will cause the downfall of America as the worlds number one superpower and worldwide dominating force which most of the worlds finances revolve around. As this asteroid hits (in the atlantic ocean) it will cause the sudden downfall of America as the worlds number one economy, military, and consumers of the worlds goods. The asteroid will cause the world to go into turmoil as America falls, and also from the effects of the asteroid as they spread around the world. It will cause, and be the thing, which the tribulation revolves around.
The asteroid will cause 'HUGE' waves that will travel across the Atlantic Ocean as seen in Luke 21:25+26 and Rev. 8:8+9. They will be the greatest tidal waves ever recorded by man. There will also be endless fires, as debris and burning rock is kicked up into the air and cast for great distances (Rev.8:7). A giant cloud will rise up over the earth and spread throughout the tribulation as seen in Joel 2:30 and Rev. 6:12-17. It will cause an acid and sulfur rain to fall upon the earth. Most of the earths water supply will be ruined by the acid and sulfur that will rain down from above (Rev 8:10+11).
This will also begin the "coming of Elijah" as Gods Spirit will be poured out upon the Saints on the earth, as seen in Joel 2:28-32. The Saints will begin to preach the three messages, of the three angels, as seen in Rev. 14:6-13.
The Antichrist and the kingdom of the beast will dominate all mankind from from every nation, tongue, and land. But the Saints will also preach the three messages of Rev. 14:6-13 to the same nations and peoples. It will be a time of great spiritual power for the church, as the Spirit of God is poured out upon her. This will happen once the church is freed from the 'BONDS OF BABYLON', at the fall of Babylon. Worldwide the church will be free from the binds of the world which now hold us captive, as this entire worldwide system falls. The church will need this power and anointing as she
preaches the gospel in power, and as she is persecuted by the world and the Antichrist.
As seen in The Book of Revelation, Babylon (the USA is the center, strenght, and power, of Babylon) will fall as this great millstone (the asteroid)is cast into the sea as seen in Rev. 8:7-12, Rev. 18:4-19, and Rev. 18:21.
If you want to read about the fall of Babylon, what it was like, and its purpose, read Jeremiah chapters 50 and 51. Also read Isaiah chapter 13.
Some have told me that God has never used a 'force of nature' to bring down a kingdom or peoples. Yet Jesus said these words in Matt. 24:37 "For the coming of the Son of man will be just like the days of Noah." As we know, God brought an end to life, as it was know in those days, through a 'force of nature', the flood.
As America falls from power and the world is in turmoil from the effects of the asteroid, 'ALL' the world will look to a NEW WORLD LEADER AND POWER. The world will easily be mislead into the kingdom of the beast as food and water become scarce. As seen in Rev. 8:10+11 and Rev. 16:4 the asteroid will cause the earths water sources to become undrinkable. This will lead to the Antichrist and the kingdom of the beast to require a mark (the mark of the beast) for people to buy or sell. People will be glad to take this mark for food and water. The Saints will know better and be warning the world of this mark, the beast, and the Antichrist. For the first 3-1/2 years of the tribulation the beast will only verbally attack the church, as the church warns against the beast and the mark (Rev. chapter 12 and Rev. 14:9-13).
The Antichrist and the kingdom of the beast will be promising to bring peace and stability to the earth as America falls from power and as the effects of the asteroid spread around the world. The Saints will be warning against these very same things. For the first 3-1/2 years of the tribulation the kingdom of the Antichrist will be bringing peace to the world, as the world is in turmoil. The Saints will be warning the world of the outcome of this.
Don't you see why Yeshua (Jesus) said, "if it were possible even the elect would be lead astray" in Matt. 24:24? Look at what He is saying there. "For many false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect." He is clearly talking about the time of the tribulation as seen in Matt. 24:15-23 which leads to verse 24. Do you see it? There will be false religious leaders saying that these things are not the Antichrist, the beast, or his mark. They will say 'look at the good he is doing'. He is bringing stability, peace, food, and water. He is only serving God, for our good. Even DEAD, RELIGIOUS, 'so called' church leaders will be following this as, FALSE PROPHRETS! How easily many will be mislead. These false prophets "will show" GREAT SIGNS and WONDERS!! They will be saying, this is good, and that it is the only way through these hard times which have come upon the earth. They will be blind to the truth and only concerned about the natural! Thats why the Lord says to His people in Matt. 24:13 'But the one who endures to the end, he shall be saved'.
Even the Jewish people will follow him (the Antichrist) for the first 3-1/2 years of the tribulation. But at the middle of the tribulation he (the antichrist) will go into the temple and declare that he is God and that he must be worshipped. This will be the point at which the two wittnesses in Rev chapter 11 are killed and three days later ressurrected by God. At that point the Jewish people will turn to Yeshua (Jesus) as their messiah and prepare for His soon return. This will cause the Antichrist to turn against the Jews and the church. This will be the time of the 'coming of Elijah' to Israel.
For the last 3-1/2 years of the tribulation, the Antichrist and the kingdom of the beast will openly and violently persecute the 'NOW BELIEVING' (in Jesus) Jews, and the worldwide church as a whole, as seen in Rev. 12:13-17 and Matt.24:13-22.

Revelations chapter eighteen. Babylon and the USA and the fall of Babylon.
Rev. chapter 18 This chapter starts with "After these things", we are therefore going to change subjects. We will spend more detail and time on this chapter because it is so important to the endtimes and we who live in the USA.
As we shall see chapter 18 describes (very clearly) the asteroid hitting and that it will cause the sudden downfall of the USA as we know it today.
Bible teachers say that America is not in the Bible, but as we shall see, it is very clearly described in Rev. chapter 18.
Chapter 18 covers the day and hour that the asteroid hits off the coast of the USA. It will clearly show that it is America that is described here in chapter 18. Once we are out of the way as a nation and world power, we will see how the rest of the world, which so depends upon us, will be quickly and totally affected.
We shall see that it is the asteroids affect upon the USA that puts all the world in turmoil. This is what will set the stage for the Antichrist to come, so easily, to power, and why all the world will follow him. That is, all those who have not been chosen for eternal life in Christ, before the foundation of the world.
Rev. 18:1 We see this "VERY POWERFUL ANGEL" meaning we are about to receive a very powerful message from God.
Rev. 18:2+3 We see that this angels message concerns the fall of Babylon.
Remember Babylon was a world dominating power that dominated the world with its strenght, power, religion and wealth. It is the USA that is now that world dominating power and we dominate the world scene by those same means.
Rev. 18:4+5 God is clearly telling his people (the church) to come out of that worldly, fleshly, self absorbing and sinful way of life. If we do not, God says that we shall receive of her plagues, that are about to come upon this Babylonian way of life and world dominating power. This is what Yeshua (Jesus) was saying when he would say "wait, be ready, pray, keep your lamp lit and do not be caught in a trap". "For her sins have piled as high as heaven". We are one of the worldliest, carnal nations on earth. We have more drug use, we have more lust for money, we have more murders, more abortions, more of all the sins of this world than any other nation on earth.
Rev.18:7 To the degree that we have glorified ourselves and lived sensuously, to the same degree we will see torment and mourning. It is the USA "that says", we shall never see mourning, we know that we are safe from the worlds dictators and rulers, we sit as queen of the earth. We would never say that "we are king of the earth" because we say that "God" is king.
Rev. 18:8 We see here that, in one day and in one hour, death, mourning, famine and fire will come, because the Lord God will judge this country and by judging this one country will bring judgement to the whole world. This will all happen in one hour of one day. As I said, a asteroid will hit in a ocean and that will cause the fall of babylon and start the tribulation period and it will all happen in one hour of one day. But the effects will last and grow throughout the 7 years of the tribulation.
As I see it, this asteroid will hit off the east coast of the USA and this will cause the fall of Babylon (the USA is the heart and soul of this entire Babylonian system) in one hour of one day and this will be "day one" of the tribulation period. Did God say it would be on the east coast of the USA? No, but it is plain to see that for America to fall as a world dominating power, and if it is to fall from the effects of a asteroid, then it must strike a fatal blow to the American power source. If a asteroid hits of the coast of Florida it would be a major blow but we would go on as a world power with little problem. If it hit off the west coast, in the pacific ocean, this would indeed be a major blow, but we would and could continue on. But if it hits on the north east coast of the USA and Wallstreet, Washington D.C., Congress and the Pentagon are gone, along with, New York City and other major east coast cities, then the U.S. would be in turmoil and the rest of the world will be turned upside down. As verse 8 says "this will all happen in one hour of one day".
Rev. 18:9 We see that all the other kings and rulers of the earth weep and mourn as she is burning (the USA). What other country would all the kings of the earth be so involved with, so tied into, so affected by, if it fell? It is only the USA that all the kings of the earth look to and so depend upon. This is why, the fall of the USA, will cause this entire worldwide Babylonian system to fall. If this great consumer nation falls, which all the worlds nations depend upon in so many ways, then surely the entire world system would fall because of it.
This is were and how the Antichrist will come to sudden power. He will promises to set up a new world order, and bring stability and peace to the earth. That is why the world will follow him so whole heartedly.
Rev. 18:10 We will be in such torment and under such judgement, that the other countries of the earth will "stand at a distance" and weep, because of what will happen to this country, in one hour. Look at the rioting and destruction that goes on in this country when a sports team wins or loses an important game. Or look at the killings and rioting that can go on because of a police shooting of a known criminal. Its not hard to see the total madness that would go on all over this country if there was such a event as this asteroid undoing American government and power. We are so dependent upon the "system" for food, water, health, safety and our very ability to survive.
After such a disaster, the USA would be covered by tidal waves, fires, flooding, death, looting and rioting. These things will result in the pestilence and famines and death described in this chapter.
Rev. 18:11-16 It is only the USA that, all the merchants of the earth are so dependent upon. It is only the USA, that buys all these things from every country in the world and it is only America that has made the worlds merchants rich from our excessive lust for the worlds goods. Only America so affects the worlds markets, and could stop the worlds merchants from continuing to make their riches. America is that one nation they so depend on for their wealth.
Rev. 18:16-19 You can see here, further why this has to be the USA. Every shipmaster, every passenger (tourist) and sailer and all who make their living by the sea, stood "at a distance". It is only America, that the rest of the world needs ships to get to and to trade with. Only America could cause all the worlds shipping to stop and all those who make their living at sea, to "stand at a distance". Only America could cause these verses to be true "Woe woe, the great city, in which all who had ships at sea became rich by "her wealth", for in one hour she has been laid waste (by the asteroid).
Anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear, should be able to see that this is, and, only could be, the USA, which represents Babylon and its world dominating government and commerce. We are that one power that dominates the worlds shipping, merchants, and money supply.
We also clearly see here, that she will be judged, and that all the world will be affected and that it will happen in one hour of one day.
Rev. 18:20-24 We see here a further picture of the end of Babylon, we see the end of the music, concerts, plays, and bands etc., we see the end of the factories, crafts, lighting and happiness.
In verse 24 we see that this way of life is what has been responsible for the death of all that God stands for. The lust, greed and worldliness that we have come to love has been responsible for the death of godly people and Gods purpose. In these last days the church has entered into this as much as the world has. The church leaders have become greedy for money and the prophets are out telling Gods people, that they should love and desire money, just so they can get more and more money for themselves. They are not being stoned for their godly stand. No, they are dieing a spiritual death as they cling to the lust of this world and teach others to do so.
Jeremiah 5:12+13 They have lied about the Lord And said, "Not He; misfortune will not come on us; And we will not see sword or famine. And the prophets are as wind, and the word is not in them. Thus it will be done to them!"
Jeremiah 6:13+14 "For from the least of them even to the greatest of them, Everyone is greedy for gain, And from the prophet even to the priest Everyone deals falsely. And they have healed the brokenness of My people superficially, Saying 'Peace peace, But there is no peace.

Who and what is Babylon

1. Babylon would be an END TIME GREAT NATION (Rev 17,18; Isa 13:6).
2. Babylon would have a huge seaport city within its borders (Rev 18:17).
3. The Great City Babylon is the home of a world government attempt (Rev 17:18).
4. The Great City Babylon would be the economic nerve center of the world (Rev 18:3).
5. Babylon would be the center of a one world Luciferian religious movement (Jer 51:44).
6. Babylon would be the center for the move to a global economic order (Rev 13:16).
BABYLON THE NATION
1. Babylon would be the youngest and greatest of the end time nations (Jer 50:12).
2. Babylon would the QUEEN AMONG THE NATIONS (Isa 47:5,7; Rev 18:7).
3. Babylon would be the most powerful nation in the world (Isa 47, Jer 50, 51, Rev 18).
4. Babylon would be the HAMMER OF THE WHOLE EARTH (Jer 50:23; Rev 18:23).
5. Babylon is called a lady, and has the symbol of the Lady (Isa 47:7-9).
6. Babylon would be the praise of the WHOLE EARTH (Jer 51:41).

Revelations was written between AD 90-100, and warned the young Church of the coming persecutions by the Romans particularly under Nero.
Ever since then it has been used by doomsayers to predict the end of the world several times over.
The pertinent thing about Revelations today is the fact that because human despots come and go, there have been several periods in human history that many of the warnings of Revelations can be applied to.
However, as Christ, Himself said, "But of that day and hour, no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone." (Matt 24:36)
There is a warning (Matt 24:4-14) against false prophets as well.
Since these are Jesus' own words, they would have precedence over anything in Revelations.

Ten yeas ago, I attended a retreat. I met a great man of God.

He was not a believer and heard about the Christians. He finished law school and was well on his way to make $$$millions. While he was driving, God called his name. He thought he was crazy. He listened again and found out it was really God that was speaking to him. He thought he was crazy, but the next few nights, his wife was in the car with him also, and God called his name again. God wanted him in the ministry.

He joined the ministries. So, instead of making $5000/hour, he's making like $2.00 an hour translating the Bible.

The Spirit of God is still alive and calling people to his ministries.
