Heard Dean was doing some door to door in NY yesterday. Good for him.

I thought about this interview he did with Colorado's Square State blog. Very candid and interesting. He said he had to get to American Samoa before his term was over. He has met the goal of going to the other places.

Colorado's Square State blog has a tremendous interview with Dean up today.

Thinking about our success in MS and other special elections...and the fact that two Democrats are leading in Alaska..

Dean said "We're going to places like MS and Alaska, talk to them, tell them who we are."

He needs to stay on to be sure the plans he put in place don't fall apart.

After the invasion of Iraq there was much talk among conservatives about invading Syria. Then Secretary of State Colin Powell was heavily criticized for taking a trip to Syria to talk to its leadership. Newt Gingrich said, "The concept of the American secretary of state going to Damascus to meet with a terrorist-supporting, secret-police-wielding dictator is ludicrous."

What did John McCain have to say about the trip? Despite the fact that John McCain believed that Syria was a "state sponsor of terror," was "harboring terrorists," and were sending "Syrians in to fight Americans," he thought it was worth talking to them, saying that Powell's trip was "appropriate." Chris Matthews is on Obermann bellyaching to Rachel Maddow about politicians using buzz words that don't mean anything to shut up the opposition and stop a debate of the issues.

He's about eight years too late. Why has it taken this long for any of the MSM to question how our democracy has been stiffled? I suppose it's because they now see which way the voters are trending? Or perhaps it was because they were an intricate part of the operation.

Rove played them like a violin and they begged for more. The media divas all wanted the personal attention Jeff Gannon got?

No more embedded media...ever. Is it too late. Do we have whole generation of broadcast "journalists" who think Katie Couric is a genius?
