Rove Still Refusing to Testify... In Person

Posted by Michael Link on May 13, 2008 at 05:14 PM

The latest is that he's now offering to testify in writing, but not in person.

Of course, this prevents follow-up questions and allows for lots of other issues that would be avoided if he simply bothered to show up in person. However, it appears that the written testimony would be public, unlike his previous position that he would only discuss it behind closed doors with no paper trail.

The testimony would be about the prosecution of ex-Governor Don Siegelman. TPM Muckraker notes that "Chairman John Conyers (D-MI) has yet to indicate what he thinks of the offer. We'll let you know when he does."

Why, he can't afford to testify. He is too busy trying to get Republicans elected.

He has promised if he can't get them elected they will steal more elections. After you steal one it gets easier to steal again and again.

Beware all Democrats if you find your election is gone and you don't know how or when it happened, that is par for the course.

And of course there is the always the Supreme Court willing to give them the election if there is a dispute.

Since OBama has most of Clinton's Cabinet Members on his Cabinet, will he run his Policies similar to Clinton's Policies?

Clinton said she learned what to do and what not to do the first time she was in the WhiteHouse. She said, a lot will be Democratic Values but she will run her Policies differently than Bill did!

I know what Conyers should do. he should refuse Rove's offer and have him arrested for refusing to testify. Because by arresting him, Karl Rove will have no choice but to testify in order to get an lighter sentence. Rove deserves to spend the rest of his life in federal prison for stealing 2000 and 2004 elections and for sticking Crawford Texas's village idiot in the White House when no one wanted him to be President.

Bush's first pardon would be for the big slug, SHOULD the Dems get the guts to throw his ass in prison! And rove knows it, so he still arrogantly does what he damn well pleases !

I think a lynching is more in order !

If he has been supeoned and does not show up you put a warrant out for his arrest. Just like any other citizen that does not show up for court. If the committee can't do that, then file a suit against him in court. Let Rove know who is boss.

virgo has a point. Cuff him and stuff him now, and Bush will have him pardoned before 20 January.
