What about Nixon!?!

From today's Washington Post online chat with Karl Rove:
Columbus, Ohio: "You boldy predicted that Bush’s approval ratings would rebound — instead he is, according to Gallup, the most unpopular presdient [sic] in history. Will you finally admit that your vision for this nation has been overwhelmingly rejected by the majority of the people?"
Karl Rove: "Get your facts right — there are at least three president who had worse approval ratings, Truman, Johnson and Nixon."
1. That's his defense?
2. Rove is wrong, anyway.

Do click "wrong" to read a good blog with the stats and astute comments like:
Let’s see, Rove was wrong about creating a permanent Republican majority by politicizing 9/11 to win short term gains in the 2002 elections; was wrong about having “the math” before the 2006 elections; and was wrong in 2000 about sending Bush to California which he had no chance to win thus helping Bush lose the popular vote. He did correctly bet in 2004 that having anti-gay ballot initiatives in key states (hello Ohio) would bring out the bigots and put Bush over the top. That and the sheer audacity of getting a talking monkey elected president are pretty much what pass for accomplishments on turdblossom’s resume. Wouldn’t put a whole lot of faith in his predictions on the future. Bush will be remembered at best as the worst two term president in U.S. history, at worst as the president who bankrupted the country and destroyed its international influence. Ironically, the success of the next president — almost certainly a Democrat — will play a large role in determining where on that spectrum he falls.

Kinda reminds me of all that backwards talk they did with 'No' translated to 'Every Child Left Behind' now applied to the 'Be all that you cannot be in the big business of higher education' for GI Joe...not to mention the healthcare..and now this by the Ghost McBush...ugh!
Just how stupid do they think we are? It is futile when you look at how the chimp came to the Canton/Akron area and slapped the steel workers on the back one year and the nest year Timken laid all the workers off. Canton and Akron are full of boarded up houses and Cleveland even worse. These things are staring struggling families and the below the radar population of homeless and handicapped in the face and will not be forgotten along with the new evidence of the fraudulent elections of 2004.
Ohio is in a mess thanks to Coingate and golfing trips to Scotland on the public dime by those who thought they were above the law. Workers of this state remember too well such recent events, pocketbooks are too slender and too many houses up on the hill are now in foreclosure or reduced for a fast sale. The lack of ethics, the sense of betrayal, the anger is all there just beneath the veneer and the story here has been too real.
No games here and no chance for Ghosty McBush to foolem like Noe or Ney or even DeLay's telemarketers - they all got caught and more comes up all the time with investigations ongoing. No, it don't seem like this obnoxious talk show b.s. gets swallowed quite as gullibly anymore round these parts what with the vets bein so needy and so many hungry folks without jobs and can't even keep up the rent so all the landlords are sellin' their properties, what a mess. Nah, Ghosty McBush and Co. blew it, the old farts club has about a snowball's chance in hell. Even this poor old state is stayin' blue this time and reading this crap just makes us all the more disgusted.

Yeah, Bush is definitely the worst president in American history. alright. MarieDNC, I honestly think the whole state of Ohio is practically jobless thanks to Bush and his greedy parasitic executive buddies. Bush preached on about how globalization would benefical to this country and to my home state of Ohio. I think globalization is nothing more than a buzzword that stupid people like Bush use to make them feel smart. Because I haven't really benefitted from this free trade and globalization bull. The jobs are still leaving this state. Ohio is going to stay blue for a long time because we have seen and experienced what happened everytime a Republican is elected to office here. The only reason that antigay ballot initiative passed is due to the actions of a weaselly little right-wing nutcase named Kenneth Blackwell who was the former Secretary of State in 2004. As for Rove, I hope he gets exactly he deserves for getting an moronic right-wing war criminal into elected office and duping the people of this country twice with his lies and deception.

I wonder if he (Bush) ever thought of asking himself, "Ask not what your Country can do for you but Ask what You can Do for your Country?"
Or thinking of the small people (small in wealth)that have to live with his choices? Live or die, does he think how much hurt he has caused?

Thanks Darien and oneforall, you make me so glad I am not alone. I love my fellow DEMS!
Listen all, you Northeasterners, Midwesterners, Southerners and Westerners. This land of ours is so beautiful and we work so hard to make sure everyone gets fed but its gettin' hard to keep this broad based middle class thing goin' out here in the rural, in the suburbs, in the urbs.
I do know that I will vote DEM if it's Obama or Hillary, I am stayin' BLUE and you had better too if you want a country in the future and like Grandpa said, "do not sign on the dotted line!". If you ain't saved up for it and cannot afford it don't, because if you do and you lose your job, well, this is how we all been feelin' back here and Johnny speaks louder to the whole heart than I can, here's a reminder of what's in store for you if you do not stay blue!
