Will McCain Denounce Bush's Remarks

Posted by Michael Link on May 15, 2008 at 01:56 PM

Bush made some outrageous comments that "Democrats are in favor of 'appeasement' of terrorists in the same way U.S. leaders appeased Nazis in the run-up to World War II."

Governor Dean has responded (emphasis mine):

"On the same day John McCain is talking about putting partisanship aside, the President launched a cheap political attack while on a state visit honoring the 60th anniversary of Israel, one of America's greatest allies. Bush's outrageous comments are an embarrassment to our country, not based in fact and bring us no closer to our goal of ending terrorist attacks against Israel and bringing peace to the region. If John McCain is really serious about being a different kind of Republican, he'll denounce these remarks in the strongest terms possible."

This is the very reason, if barack doesn't chose hillary he should chose biden for vp. Biden's instant reactions is, "that is bull shit." We can't have, like in 2004 elections, two low key, super sweet, nice talking candidates. We can get their, maybe the next election, but this transition will require a vp that is tough and can get away with calling the republican propaganda what it is, no holds barred.

correction- choose, reaction, there

Great job in the House today, I caught the beginning of it and a republican senator said an independant magazine, "Investors Weekly, of something close to that" said the dem house is acting like a dictatorship. Ohhh Reeeaally? If Investor Weekly was the investor in Iraq, instead of the American People, they would have pulled out in 6 months. So far the return on the 3 trillion dollar investment is over 4000 american soldiers dead, countless innocent Iraq people dead, (countless because they are apparently not important enough to be counted by the republicans), Thirty thousand mamed soldiers, I could go on and on. No, Investor weekly wouldn't put a dime in this investment, No Good Return!

Bush said DEMOCRATS are like the Nazi appeasers... now that's IRONY. It's also insulting. Our military is "stretched to the breaking point," according to a General, our budget is busted from the war, and he's fueled international hatred because of the cooked up war... but it's the Democrats fault for not going along with his "fiasco." Unbelievable! That's totally insane. I hope Democrats don't let him get away with talking that trash ON FOREIGN SOIL.
