McCain Bamboozles Seniors On Social Security
Posted by Kombiz Lavasany on June 12, 2008 at 05:54 PMSomeone should tell John McCain that if you're going to misrepresent a position you've held, you should probably not have held the opposite position on video.
This afternoon at a New Hampshire townhall, John McCain was challenged on his policy to divert part of the Social Security taxes into the stock market. McCain claimed that "I'm not for quote privatizing Social Security, I never have been, I never will be." Thought, shortly after the 2004 elections McCain told a questioner that "...without privatization, I don't see how you can possibly, over time, make sure that young Americans are able to receive Social Security benefits."
You can watch both clips on YouTube. It's remarkable -- another direct contradiction on a major issue. Makes you miss Mitt Romney.
