McCain's Defense of NAFTA: Cheap Flowers
Posted by Michael Link on July 7, 2008 at 03:28 PM
Jobs first!
"I buy flowers a lot cheaper when they are grown in Colombia than when they are grown in South Carolina. It has never been my ambition for any child to grow up to work in a textile factory. I would much rather have them work in a BMW plant or high-tech factory or other kinds of employment for which we can provide the training and education."

I post a comment on the open thread. I do some other work on my computer, I go eat lunch, I stop by the Art Store and talk to my friend. I get back to my computer, and try to post. It tells me that "too many comments have been posted by you in a short period of time"! ???????????????!!!!!!!
What kind of crap is this?
McCain never heard of trying to make ends meet, obviously.
BMW factories ship money overseas, "hi-tech" factories need fewer employees because they use robots. For that matter textile factories can be high-tech too. BUT that doesn't mean that the factory owners will pay living wages or give decent benefits.
Every time McCain takes a step, you can hear his brain rattling around in his head like a BB in a boxcar.
What I don`t like about John McCain is he tells you what it is period. There is an unspoken sentence at the end of every story and it is that is the only way it is or we`re fighting. Sign of being not open and he has a bullying way about him.Very poor presidential material as we`ve already experienced!
I cannot believe he said that. Why doesn't the main stream Media call him out for his foolish remarks ?
