More Dishonest McCain Attacks
Posted by Matt Ortega on August 8, 2008 at 01:53 PM
Throw John McCain's latest dishonest attack ad on the heap of other dishonest attack ads released by their campaign.
John McCain is running an entirely negative campaign. That's what happens when you run on the politics of the past and the failed policies of George W. Bush. He has absolutely nothing to run on. At all.
So all the McCain campaign has left are flat out, bald-faced lies.
ANALYSIS: The McCain campaign's oft-repeated assessment of Obama's tax proposals is based, in several instances, on outdated material that has been widely debunked. Obama has said his plan would raise taxes on single people making more than $200,000 and couples making more than $250,000, which by all measures doesn't add up to middle class.
See the Obama campaign response below:
“This ad is a lie, and it’s part of the old, tired politics of a party in Washington that has run out of ideas and run out of steam. Even though a host of independent, nonpartisan organizations have said this attack isn’t true, Senator McCain continues to lie about Senator Obama’s plan to give 95% of all families a tax cut of $1,000, and not raise taxes for those making under $250,000 a single dime. The reason so many families are hurting today is because we’ve had eight years of failed Bush policies that Senator McCain wants to continue for another four, and that’s what Barack Obama will change as President,” said Obama campaign spokesman Hari Sevugan.

Unfortunetly, negative comments and ads WORK!
Obama and the DNC and other Liberal groups MUST start hitting home!!!
Did you all see the moment on TV the other day, (or the youtube video now), where McCain was asked a double question, and totally lost it? could not remember a couple seconds later what the question was? They then altered the video and are running THEIR version on the net.
It was absolutely scary to watch the man blubber and not be able to remember ! This Old Man MUST NOT become President of our country, or we are truly doomed !

Good Morning,
Analysis the just of the republican argument.
If the Democratic Party and Obama cannot or will not respond to negative ads from a political opponent, what is their response to a terrorist attack?
Are they going to bury their head in the sand and hope it goes away?

So, now we are all to ignore Edward's lies?

I hate to tell you but Obama also flubbed a statement he made in a speech - and it was reworked.
Duh.

And by the way - isn't it age discrimination to call McCain and old man?

Matt,
It appears that the front page KA blogs have become only a place for trolls to play.
Is this to remind people who come to the DNC blog how awful it is to be a republican?
Would it not be a better idea, if that IS the purpose, to open a string FOR THEM, and block them from the rest of the blogs so we can have a place also?
Open thread maybe could be OURS?

Thats funny. Bush and his Repug lapdogs are the main reason terrorism is on the rise. And McCain IS an old man, because he believes killing and stealing is the only way for our country to get ahead just like other old timers like Caesar Alexander.and Bush. Its time for a change.

my dear ex-dem ( or is that you, MN Thomass or Danny the Fanny, playing your games?)
there is 'flubbing' a statement and then there is an outright, clear sign of Senility which is a symptom of old age which proves this man is not capable of good judgement and to be the leader of this country!
So it is discriminating to call McCain "Old"? Well, when you are with your Republican friends, what do you call Obama, just out of curiousity. Bet it is a lot worse than the term 'old"!
So go peddle your hatred somewhere else there old sicko! If this is all you have to do with your time, (trolling hatred on blogs), then you need help!!!!!!!!!! duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Distract....
Bring up John Edwards infidelity and harp on that. Despite the fact that what he displayed was a silly human fraility, bring it up again and again.
Ignore the crimes of the Bush regime.
Ignore Iraq.
Ignore the lives it cost.
Ignore the shredding of our Constitution.
Ignore torture.
Ignore corrupt governance.
Ignore the deficit.
Ignore the economy.
Ignore the veterans coming home without proper care.
Ignore global warming.
Ignore http://www.republicansexoffenders.com/
Ignore McSame's lobbyist problem.
Ignore McSame's affair.
Ignore McSame's 61 flip-flops!
I could go on and on...
But, no.
John Edwards had an affair!
(I guess the MSM forgot to tell some folks that John Edwards dropped out of the race a few months ago...)

HOPE! CHANGE! We are who we've been waiting for!
I'd much rather have this old man as president than a truly naive, inexperienced young man as president any day. And I'll tell you what Republicans call Obama in private - we call him what he is: a hopelessly out-of-touch elitist.
John Edwards for VP! Drill here, drill now!
