Posted by Matt Ortega on September 16, 2008 at 03:45 PM

CNN ran a segment earlier today that debunks a few of the many lies coming from the McCain campaign.

To read more about McCain's lies, read our Count the Lies page on McCainpedia where the counter is currently at 54. (But likely not for long.)

Her "trip to Ireland" was a refueling stop? Does that mean I can say I toured Japan because I spent an hour and a half in the Tokyo airport waiting on my flight to Seoul Korea? ;-D

I've been fact checking both ways in this contest. I'm concerned that the last Obama radio commercial said that the Republican platform was "against all stem cell research" but the official platform says "Taxpayer-funded medical research must be based on sound science, with a focus on both prevention and treatment, and in accordance with the humane ethics of the Hippocratic Oath. In that regard, we call for a major expansion of support for the stem-cell research that now shows amazing promise and offers the greatest hope for scores of diseases – with adult stem cells, umbilical cord blood, and cells reprogrammed into pluripotent stem cells..."

So in that case the ad should be edited or removed.
