Governor Dean on MSNBC

Posted by Matt Ortega on September 5, 2008 at 03:22 PM

Governor Howard Dean was on MSNBC with Tom Brokaw at the Republican National Convention last night. Watch Howard hand it to the Republicans at their own convention.

We have to fire the advertising company! Every ad is dark. No visual interest. Predictable. Repetition works, but come on. No one enjoys watching these ads.

We need to be funny. And ironic. And sarcastic, while not personally demeaning. And visually interesting. And maybe most important, creative.

People have to want to watch.

I'll send some on tomorrow.

Shouldn't this blog have a forum for commercial ideas, with someone gleaning through them for the best?

Why not an ongoing contest? Accept text or iMovies. Select the best and showcase them. This is especially important for counter-commercials. We can use the contest to turn around a response ad in just hours.

"his latest unsuccessful run for President"...

Posted by renaljim on September 6, 2008 at 12:30 PM

Ahem...Isn't that this campaign and isn't he still running for the office of Vice President in this current campaign?

Meanwhile and excellent article:
Palin's Speech to Nowhere by Will Bunch, Philadelphia Daily News

"This was a Speech to Nowhere.

It was a Speech to Nowhere when Palin said that "I told the Congress 'Thanks but no thanks' on that Bridge to Nowhere," because that was a lie, and the worst kind of lie in American politics, a blatant falsehood that showed utter contempt for the American people that Palin pledged to serve, assuming we are too stupid to look up or know that truth, that she pushed for those funds in Congress and while she got great political mileage out of announcing that she was killing the project, she still has not returned the funds to American people." cont...

And while we're on the subject, let's call lies just what they are, lies. Rachel at work clarifying a few things...enjoy!

Oh yes, on waking up to the reality, can someone give a few million folks their homes back? A man from Cleveland, Ohio - one of the capitals of foreclosures - speaks out...

Some observations from the Vets on the fair deal they have gotten in the last few years from the American hero at the Republican convention...

Finally some observations by the candidate who is currently running for Vice President - obviously an astute Democrat qualified for the job and worth the salary, certainly will be taking care of the bills when he gets the time...unlike all the folks who have never been paid back by Enron or Coingate...and millions for a bridge to nowhere?

Enjoy!
