Senator Barack Obama spoke to reporters today and addressed the latest nonsense from the McCain campaign on taxes, noting John McCain's flip-flop on the Bush tax cuts.
It's time for a national election system. Gore did nothing about the 2000 election. Kerry caved in in the 2004 election. There were 'irregularities' in the 2006 election. It's no longer conspiracy theory that parties have kept American citizens from voting on a massive scale. Films like Hacking Democracy and real journalists like Greg Palast have revealed this elephant in the living room. It's time that this issue becomes center stage and a uncorruptable system similar to online banking is put in place.

None of the Republican Party's ideas work...the last eight years have proven it once and for all.
As for their new ideas...the GOP has thrown out so many stupid gimmicks its pathetic. Why would anybody want to be "just like Joe the Plumber." The Republicans really think he represents the average American? Then they deserve to lose and lose big time. We are made of so much better stuff than that.
Joe the Plumber is a fraud. He lies, he owes taxes, he calls people names, and he sees nothing wrong with any of it. That's not the average American...that's George W. Bush and John McCain. They are all peas in the same pod.
Americans care about one another not just themselves. We don't have to lie or act sneaky to make ourselves look important. We are confident in ourselves and only want an equal opportunity to prove what we can do. We are proud of trying to do the right thing even though is may be the hard thing to do.
Republicans say the have all the answers and know who the "real" Americans are. We Democrats are smart enough to know we have to work with other Americans to create the right answers.
I was disappointed that barack's question and answer with his foriegn policy team was completely lost today in between palins clothes and the last question he took. I guess he needed to address bidens gaffe, he did a good job.
Let Obama remain focus. He should not allow McCain's lack of direction and inconsistence to affect his brightest chance of becoming the next U.S. President. He should be very careful with his speech and his running mate- Biden should do same. we shall laugh at last!
Does the DNC site blogger respond to these comments? I'd love to have someone respond to bradblog's question and my question as to why the DNC and it's famous-but-idle attorneys are doing NOTHING about the vote flipping going on in places like Texas and West Virginia. Where are all these supposed lawyers from the Obama campaign? Kerry did nothing about Ohio in 2004. And now it's Obama, doing nothing about vote theft.
our govt should guarantee every american a fulltime job this would keep greedy employers in check our country has always been greedy but now it seems that its not only greedy but mean anything to make a buck nomatter who you hurt
