Good morning, all.

Good morning, all.

Hey, I'll trade shoes with Cindy McCain any day. Then I'd take those $10,000 designer numbers and sell them on Ebay.

So the Blue Star mother is using her child in Iraq the same way Palin is using her baby in the campaign...as a prop? Cindy McCain swore she would never involve her children in any political stunts, but here she is 27 days before the election doing just that. Desperation reigns in those 11 mansions?

I can't wait to see what else will come out of sweet Cindy's mouth. John McCain is such a coward he's sending out his wife to do his dirty work...and he thinks we all don't know what's going on here?

McCain can vote against a war appropriation on principle; but if "that one" votes against one without a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq, he's a moral enemy of the people and killing our troops?

Palin and Cindy is out there waving a rally flag for the lunatic fringe who are yelling, "Kill him". They need to take a good look into their souls and decided if this is the way they want to meet their Maker someday...designer heels and all.

Good morning, Sandy. At that same Cindy hate fest someone yelled out "Off with his head!"n regard to Obama.

If that bitch wants to inject her crap into the campaign maybe she can open her tax records.

After all, now that she has injected her kids into the political arena she has no excuse like "I don't disclose my finances in order to protect my kids".

Well, Cindy, your kids are now part of the process thanks to you and your Botoxed mouth.

EJS: The Republicans have been targeting voters in heavily Democratic areas throughout the country. Here in Montana, they tried targeting Butte-SilverBow county as well as other traditionally Democratic areas around the state. This has been brought to a halt, by public anger(even a lot of Republicans thought it was unfair, particularly since they had challenged deployed soldiers, a District court judge, and our Republican Lt. Governor's speaking out against it.
People need to write irate letters to editors, as well as telling the Republican leadership that you're not standing for it. Also, even get Republicans will protest if it can be proved that many of these people are older retired veterans, and active duty soldiers.

It's called voter suppression. It's been used since the civil war to stop the poor from exercising their right to a ballot on election day.

Since 2000 when the Republicans got control of most of the voting apparatus in this country, they have been working hard to perfect it. It's going to take time and a big effort by average citizens to take back their democracy.

There are far too many well-paid Republican operatives doing this and other sleazy dirty work as the tools of the top 2% of the wealthy. They are being slowly turned back. Making the public aware of their activities is the fastest way to stop them in the future.

Thanks for sharing the info.

DPD,

Hey, who is the real Cindy McCain?

How did her father acquire that beer distributorship? Why has Cindy so often been involved in partnerships with those that get in trouble with the law? Why was her father in jail?

And right you are...why hasn't she released the family tax returns?

Cindy McCain was right before she started getting desperate. The children of a candidate shouldn't be brought into a campaign. But now that SHE was become a member of the pack of Republican attack dogs, we have a right to find out a lot more about her lineage.

She's no debutante. She has links to the Mob and has had them her entire life. It's time for voters to see those tax returns and find out about the "family business."

Well, mission accomplished, Bible Spice.

A racist loonie threatened to kill voter registration officials because he couldn't vote early against Obama.

OCTOBER 8--Angered by a delay in the receipt of his voter registration card, a Louisiana man today threatened to shoot election officials, claiming that he urgently needed to cast a ballot to "keep the nigger out of office," according to police.

Update. Cindy is a big Botoxed LIAR.

Why do these chronic liars think nobody is ever going to fact check their BS? That vote of Obama's that "sent a chill up my spine because my son was there"?

Her kid WASN'T IN IRAQ at the time of that vote.

So I wasn't the only one who noticed that strange noise?

Isn't it a marvel how fast ordinary people can now react to what's going on and do something quick to spread the word? We have a wealth of satirical humor in this country especially among young people.

Mark Twain and Will Rogers would be so proud to see how the little guy can now stick it to the rich hypocrites so easily. Huck would probably have been a computer geek in a contemporary setting. Can you just imagine what Twain and Dickens would be writing today?

btw, you might want to check out the NBC website. Leno did a great piece last night featuring McCain's nasty grin and weird facial expressions at the last debate.

Gotta run. later.

It appears that the Republican Party is rapidly degenerating into a lunatic mob. Their murderous rage has overwhelmed any trace of legitimacy they once had. It's goiong to get a lot uglier, people. The racists are coming out of hiding and the brownshirts are gearing up.

Morning All,

Since our brave troops now seem to be again in the spotlight a little bit, I wonder if anyone will ask either McCain or Palin if they intend to do anything about this situation with the Alaska National Guard members returning from war zones:

That waddle in her neck just keeps me mesmerized when they show her up close !

Now wasn't there somebody who kept saying Dems have no chance of getting anymore seats, because as the election goes, so goes the Senate?? heehee

Perfect Storm" Could Give Democrats "Magic 60" in Senate

US Senate. (Photo: knowledgerush.com)
Washington - In the face of an economy in crisis and a deeply unpopular president, some analysts believe the situation is ripe to give Democrats a 60-seat filibuster-proof majority in the Senate in November.

It's "the perfect storm," said Stuart Rothenberg, editor of the nonpartisan Rothenberg Political Report. "You've got Republican voters angry at Republicans, many Americans just petrified about the future...wanting change. And right now change appears to be coming in the form of Democrats."

see my post on prior thread.

MAKE SURE people call ahead to confirm they are registered in those swing states! Tell them no SS cards are necessary. Tell them to confirm where they go to vote, and if they have moved, to get their cards in.

Governor Dean warned us in 2003 about the huge deficits, and he said they suited the Bush administration's plans to deprive Social Security and Medicare of funding.

What Dean predicted in 2003 is live and in full color today

"I think their principal motivation is to undo the pillars of the New Deal, particularly Medicare and Social Security, by making the budget deficit so big that those programs can't be sustained," he said at a lunch with USA TODAY and the Gannett News Service."

BOISE -- We are less than a month away from the November election and fundraising efforts are strong for each presidential candidate.

The most recent numbers released from the Federal Election Commission may be surprising to some.

Idaho has already been colored in red on political maps and the state is well-known for being the most Republican state in the union, but when it comes to fundraising for the presidential candidates in 2008, Barack Obama is raising more money in the Gem State.

FEC numbers show Obama with a little more than $500,000, while his rival John McCain has raised just over $350,000.

Both conservatives and independants balked at his plan to grossly overpay for mortgages that are in trouble so now he has yet another NEW plan! And, of course, it's more costly to the taxpayers and of course it's more generous to financial institutions! Flip-Flop McLame strikes again!

McCain changes homeowner plan
Mike Allen Thu Oct 9, 12:29 AM ET
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) made an overnight change in the homeowner bailout he proposed at Tuesday’s presidential debate, making it more generous to financial institutions and more costly for taxpayers.

McCain's staff says it was always meant that way.

When McCain sprang his surprise idea at the start of the debate in Nashville, his campaign posted details online of his American Homeownership Resurgence Plan, which would direct the government to buy up bad home mortgages, allowing strapped people to keep their property.

Let me get this straight,
Republicans call Democrats socialists because they want the government to provide a government sponsered alternative to conventional Health Insurance.
Republicans call Democrats socialists because we want safety groups like Consumer Products Safety Commission and the Agriculture Department to inspect our foods and other products to ensure they are not tainted.
But, it's not socalism if the Republicans want the Government to Bail them out by taking OWNERSHIP STAKES in the entire financial industry that they have completely screwed up!

US May Take Ownership Stake in Banks
Wednesday 08 October 2008
»
by: Edmund L. Andrews and Mark Landler, The New York Times

Washington - Having tried without success to unlock frozen credit markets, the Treasury Department is considering taking ownership stakes in many United States banks to try to restore confidence in the financial system, according to government officials.

Treasury officials say the just-passed $700 billion bailout bill gives them the authority to inject cash directly into banks that request it. Such a move would quickly strengthen banks' balance sheets and, officials hope, persuade them to resume lending. In return, the law gives the Treasury the right to take ownership positions in banks, including healthy ones.

The Treasury plan was still preliminary and it was unclear how the process would work, but it appeared that it would be voluntary for banks. The proposal resembles one announced on Wednesday in Britain. Under that plan, the British government would offer banks like the Royal Bank of Scotland, Barclays and HSBC Holdings up to $87 billion to shore up their capital in exchange for preference shares. It also would provide a guarantee of about $430 billion to help banks refinance debt.

Northhartford: Several days ago I left you a post that you have yet to respond to. I was wondering if you would care to 'defend' the 'Bush tax cuts' that Sen. McCain has vowed to make permanent and explain specifically how they have benefited the economy when middle class households now have $2,000 less than they did 8 years ago?
I was wondering if you would care to explain and 'defend' the "Trickle down economics" employed by Bush and which McCain has also vowed to, not only keep in place, but to expand. Can you please compare and contrast the economic theories employed by Coolidge and Hoover that led to the Great Depression against the economic theories employed by R. Reagan, G.H.W. Bush and the current administration, as well as promissed by J. McCain.
Can you please explain how and why you believe that J. mcCain can or has an desire to help middle class America in the area of economy and finance?
Can you please explain how and why you believe that J. mcCain 'knows how to win a war?' as he has been on the loosing side of each and every one that he has been associated with?
Can you please define "define" victory in Iraq. I was told that it was to get into the hands of the Iraqi people the responsibility for their own safety and rebuilding of their own country. As that is exactly what Sen. Obama is promissing to do in a safety-first, phased way, how can that we called anything but 'victory?'
Just a few quick questions that I hope you can explain to me as you not only voted for the worst president in history, - not once but twice - and plan to vote for all of his policies yet again! Please defend your position!

hey danny, you old fool.

this is what happens when you can only dig up one thing against obama, and it is found to be false! you stand their with shit all over your face!

Barack Obama Never Organized with ACORN

Discredited Republican voter-suppression guru Ken Blackwell is attacking Barack Obama with naked lies about his supposed connection to ACORN.

• Fact: Barack was never an ACORN community organizer.
• Fact: Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other capacity.
• Fact: ACORN was not part of Project Vote, the successful voter registration drive Barack ran in 1992.

In his capacity as an attorney, Barack represented ACORN in a successful lawsuit alongside the U.S. Department of Justice against the state of Illinois to force state compliance with a federal voting access law. For his work helping enforce the law, called “Motor Voter,” Barack received the IVI-IPO Legal Eagle Award in 1995. (For more about Barack’s career, check out our Obama bio.)

Ken Blackwell is best known today for disenfranchising Democratic voters in his dual role as Ohio Secretary of State and chair of George Bush’s Ohio campaign in 2004. To see him shed crocodile tears for the integrity of the vote while making accusations about Barack and ACORN with absolutely no basis in fact is disturbing.

Blackwell’s attacks against ACORN and community organizers continue a vile Republican pattern of mockery and viciousness against this noble profession. Community organizers are the very individuals Republicans should be celebrating for helping people to help themselves rather than depending on the government.

BARACK WAS PRAISED FOR COMPLETING PROJECT VOTE; ACORN WAS NOT INVOLVED

With all of the Very Serious Voter Intimidations, Suppressions, and Purging, Somehow WE need An Prominant Democratic Legal Team to File a "CLASS-ACTION" LAW SUIT against the RNC, and Any Participants in Such Illegal Activities

I've been researching a group called Consumers Rights League... they're a Lobbyist group and are completely behind a major voter suppression effort.

Please see my blog for the information. This group, alone, against the advisement of Election Officials, got Congress to do the raids on 3rd party voter drives and are working to get voters suppressed.

Republicans are really blocking votes!!!! We all see the evidence on the news, right in front of our face but we don't know what's really going on.
