Kicking Ass: The Democratic Party's Blog

Notice a Pattern?

John McCain meeting with the Des Moines Register:

In an interview with the editorial board of The Des Moines Register earlier this week, McCain was asked about Palin's apparent lack of experience and why he picked the Alaska governor.

McCain, who appeared irritable and at times sarcastic, told the newspaper that he disagrees with "your fundamental principle that she doesn't have the experience," and he's "so happy" the American people seem to be siding with him.

And last night on the floor of the United States Senate --

Let the record reflect that Barack Obama made the approach to John McCain tonight.

As the two shared the Senate floor tonight for the first time since they won their party nominations, Obama stood chatting with Democrats on his side of the aisle, and McCain stood on the Republican side of the aisle.

So Obama crossed over into enemy territory.

He walked over to where McCain was chatting with Republican Sen. Mel Martinez of Florida and Independent Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman of Connecticut. And he stretched out his arm and offered his hand to McCain.

McCain shook it, but with a “go away” look that no one could miss. He tried his best not to even look at Obama.

Finally, with a tight smile, McCain managed a greeting: “Good to see you.”

And to the Politico last night after the Senate vote on the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act --

We just followed McCain down the steps following the vote to ask him about the reaction of House Republicans to the vote.

He didn't appreciate the company.

McCain: "Excuse me, you're bothering me."

Politico: "I'm bothering you?"

McCain: "Excuse me, I have to go."

Anybody else noticing a pattern here?

He reminds me of the movie "The Right Stuff". A scene in it showed President Johnson sitting in his parked car throwing a fit because John Glenns wife wouldn't talk to him....

McCain is sinking - fast and he has no way of stopping it. He's just beginning to realize that he's in a no win situation and he's lashing out - maybe Cindy will be sporting another banaged arm or a black eye... or she has learned to duck.

Unreasonable suspicion and anger is another sign of dementia.

I hadn't thought about that. Palin has a big bandage on one of her hands. What's all that about? Didn't she perform up to McCain's standards in practice sessions and he exerted some pressure?

This guy is showing all sorts of signs of dementia and denial. You wonder what damage was done to him during his torture in Hanoi.

Sandy - have you noticed how Cindy always walks behind him and when John stops she stops but it's the look of pure submission that reveals that she has the shear look of terror on her face. A classic example of a battered wife.

Kathy,

I can't think of any other reason that woman would have stayed with him all these years. She has the money and with her looks and personality could have marry any other Senator she wants.

"She has the money and with her looks and personality could have marry any other Senator she wants."

Sandy, even with all the botox in the world, it cannot stop the aging that Cindy is going through. Have you seen her neck lately? No one would want to snuggle into that, that is for sure.

BUT you are right, she could BUY herself a new one if she wanted.
