Twice as Many Jobs Cut in September

Posted by Matt Ortega on October 3, 2008 at 02:15 PM

And John McCain wants four more years of this?

Employers cut 159,000 jobs in September, more than twice as many as in August or July, the Labor Department reported. It was the biggest monthly decline since 2003, when the economy was still losing jobs in the wake of the 2001 recession.

Forecasters had been expecting a loss of about 100,000 jobs in September.

I know a lot of construction workers who haven't had a decent full time job for over a year now. I bet they aren't even in the count.

"When are these so-called experts figure out the the public isn't being "cautious", we are broke!!"

The experts have known for quite some time that the country is broke and getting broker.

The plot thickens... Bush seems to have a private mercenary army at his disposal; if Congress had instantly adopted the NO-REVIEW bailout plan, he'd own the banks, too. They've been working on controlling the voting machines... The Supreme court was in his pocket in 2001... He ignores the Congress.... The press is either afraid to speak up or controlled by a couple of ultra conservatives who like what's coming....

Looks too much like a recipe for ending "democracy" and instituting something like a capitalist plutocracy.

Why aren't we more afraid???
