This morning in Chicago, President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden announced the incoming administration's national security team.
President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden officially announced key members of their national security team today: nominating Senator Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, selecting Defense Secretary Robert Gates to remain as Secretary of Defense, nominating Eric Holder as Attorney General, nominating Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, nominating Susan Rice as Ambassador to the United Nations and selecting General Jim Jones, USMC (Ret) as National Security Adviser.

Obama is giving the Clintons a second chance. Bill screwed up big time in going along with the Republicans in outsourcing our economic assets and jobs. Let's hope he's learned his lesson.
You can't provide national security to a country that offshores its equity and liquidity without creating capital at home. Now the Clintons will have to deal with our foreign adversaries which Bill helped make stronger and us weaker.
It a fitting challenge. I betting that with Hillary in charge instead of Bill we'll get much better results.
What's wrong with Kicking Ass? It's what we did. The Democratic Donkey kicked butt! And it beats some wimp name that makes people think Democrats are still wusses.
As for Hillary, I second Sandy, the Clintons are getting a second chance. I don't think that she was the only option for the job. Obama would have found someone else just as good if she had turned it down.
Hillary's got the qualifications and the talent for the job, as well as name recognition. Now if she can keep Bill in line and avoid tripping over her own ego she'll go far.
If she had been Obama's running mate, he'd have been stuck with her for 4 years as VP. This way, if she decides to not be a team player she's outta here. It was a smart move on Obama's part.
Excellent team... to make it a winner the world expects lots of carrots and very few sticks. There is no more room for super-power follies, is there?

I hope whoever Obama chooses they understand that they need to support him in his best decisons and not be afraid to voice opposition if he is going astray. The last thing America needs is another Cheney-like advisor or power-grabber. And I think America is united on one issue. We don't like people playing around with our future.
Is the blog acting up again? Or is nobody talking?
Butte, Evil Ellie is one of those PUMA DNC haters. It was all the DNC's fault, according to them, that their candidate did not get voted in as the Choice for the General Election. Bitter, hateful little people, who are no better than the Republican Sour Grape trolls.
She has her own blog, so why she spreads her trash talk here is mind boggling! Maybe it is because no one visits her blog, except for a couple of other losers.
